Flowers, I know what you mean. It is like going through other people's lives. There was an old pie tin like my great grandmother used for her pies. Had not thought about that in many years.

But its only good on new LED lights and theirs were still way high here when I checked on it.

I have thrown away a few this year that wouldn't work. Usually pull out the bulbs and throw away the string. But sometimes get bullheaded and try to fix them, until my fingers start hurting.

I have found alot of decorations at GW. Collect a lot of different things so not the same thing every year, always have something new to add.

Venice you can use those old pie tins to make small round stepping stones.

Thats the fun of it, most decorations get all smushed after being packed all year and many have to be tossed out. It is nice knowing you didn't just throw away a one time 20 dollar ornament. I don't care for the led lights, they don't have the vibrant colors the original ones do its like putting pastel colors on the tree instead of the bright red,green and white lights of old.

Dang, we have 3 different thift stores here and 3 GW stores. I can make a day of it and then some at times ^_^

Wait flowers, what happened to the candles that they use to put on trees? Believe it or not I have a candle holder clip for the tree.
It was one of my mom's old ones. Will have to see if I can figure out where I have it packed away.
Kind of scarry when you think about the fact that they used candles on real trees at one time.

I like those new snowflake lights they came out with last year, have yall seen them? My dog is running me out of here. She is laying with her butte pointed at me letting out some major gas LOL

Venice I found a ceramic pie at GW a couple of years ago. I'ts small with a lattice top like the original crust and you can store poporii in it. I keep it on my stove top just because its so cute.

Trina, hope all is well with Amanda, that must have been scary. A couple years ago a friend of mine's DH had a heart attack & was in the hospital. I went up to see him and imagine my surprise when I saw her in a hospital gown too. I said WTH??? She had to have emergency surgery to have her appendix out too. So they were both in there. I told her thanks for saving me a trip! :)

Hope everyone enjoys their trips to the thrift shops. On the way home yesterday I looked cross-eyed at that big GW but turned right instead of left..
