Justin had surgery, Pix, I missed that, sorry. How is he doing?
Today's Weather in Your Garden - 56
We cross posted. Glad to hear that.
He's good, thanks Polly. Mom is finally relaxing. ^_^ I really think he took it better than me. LOL
What do you expect from Moms???? LOL
Bummer, Louise. Hope Hank feels better.
50 and sunny. Another nice day.
49 and sunny here. No wind. Good bulb planting weather. Russ asked me the other day where I put the hyacinths. Whoops, didn't get any, and I love them for cut flowers in the house, so I ordered 50. So out to plant them.
56 and sunny. Found a list of many plants that can be started from seed during the fall and was out at the crack of dawn seeding and laying compost. Finally got rid of a lot of seeds from swaps and online orders that were getting a tad old. Come Spring I know I won't remember what I planted so whatever comes up is ok :-)
Such fun to plant seeds in the fall and see them come up in spring.
Yes. Your 50 hyacinths will make a nice display also. What colors? They are striking.
52°, windchill 43°, sunny
I got a mix. Couldn't decide what I wanted, so the mix.
48 and sunny. Started out foggy this am.
Polly--Can you make the flower clear the foliage? I have not been able to do that, so don't buy them. Then there are the deer so I sort of stick to daffodils.
Mine do, Lucy. They say if that's the problem to plant them deeper. I know, makes no sense, but I put mine down a good 8-12 inches. Deer have never bothered my hyacinths. Mainly lilies and tulips.
My hyacinths come back forever, it seems, even if we pick them. But of course they are not nearly as full and pretty, but still smell really good.
It was another lovely day--55 & sunny---saw a beautiful, mature bald eagle at the end of my road this morning.
45 and cloudy, Very raw, My little guy is sick. Was diagnosed with bronchitis last week and the meds are not helping. Fever this morning. Doc again at 11:30.
Get well wishes for the little one Victor. Hope everything turns out ok.
Sorry Victor, hope he gets better soon.
49° cloudy, damp
Good luck at the doctor's Victor. My kids always seemed to recover by the time the doctor walked into the exam room^_^
Poor guy, hope he's all better in time for Thanksgiving vaca.
Chilly today, now all cloudy 47
Thanks all.
Get well wishes from here too Victor.
Grey, mid 40s and rain on the way.
Oh no Victor! Sorry to hear that, hope it's not H1N1...think thats what oldest DGD started w/last night. Fever 102 came on suddenly w/the chills and upset belly.
36 here, bbbburrrrrrrr!!
Just back - lots of coughing kids there! No, not flu. Continued bronchitis. Not severe. They just changed the antibiotic. Hopefully this one will work. Thank you.
DGD just got back too, they are treating her w/Tamiflu. Poor thing is soooo sick.
hope the new meds help victor - celeste hope your dgd gets well soon - sounds like n1h1
48 today. It was sunny, now it's rainy.
Hope all little ones get better soon.
Praying your dgd gets better soon.
Victor and Celeste - I hope your little guy and granddaughter are on the mend very soon. Keep us posted on how they are doing! 36 where you are, Celeste?! Brrrr
81 and humid here today. I need to go out and sweep our front porch where the puppies frolic a lot, but it's still too humid and I just took my shower and dried my hair. I hate when it gets soaked and sweaty the minute you move outside. My son flies in at 8:15 tonight. Yay!
I'm up to 39 now. ^_^
Victor I hope this antibiotic works for him! Thank you all for the well wishes and prayers.
Yes, prayers for both children---very scary when they're sick! A gray Nov. day here, mid-forties, damp, misting now.
I think children often recover more quickly than adults, but scarier. Temp going down here & grey outside-trying to rain.
Thanks. He seems okay. Good luck on your GD, Celeste. I saw a kid in the waiting room who must have had h1N1. Looked real sick.
Ooooh! Poor sick kids :-( Hope they feel better soon!
50 here today as high, but it was grey and dreary.
Sorry to hear about your little guy Victor. Hope he's better by Thursday, and can enjoy his time off school.
Did they determine your granddaughter had H1N1 Pix? Some kids are getting so sick with that. My grandson and granddaughter had it. He was quite sick, and she was not. At the Drs they said no sense even testing them to see what flu it was, it was the only one going around the schools.
Nothing worse than sick kids. Bless their little hearts.
47 now going up to 53.. more rain today
46 and cloudy. Little guy still has a fever. He'll be home again.
