NO THYME, GOT GOT GOT NO THYME....

(Zone 5b)

Dave too funny, we were at my mother's & the kids found the old albums & were pretty fascinated, having never seen albums before, and started playing them on stereo. Blues Brothers, Beatles, Mary Poppins....

Smiley! Wake up!

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I got to sleep in. Hah! hah!

But the street cleaner kept going up & down the street. I think it was a practice driver.

Um, Dave? That 1st rock & roll picture? I see Jerry Garcia in there.... Was that one of those electric koolaid posters?

Like The Band? How come we never see The Band???

Lynnie, the Dumbo album soundtrack was the 1st album I ever had. My bro bought me Abbey Road when it came out, that was my 1st real contemporary album. At the time.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

There's a new bar opening up not too far from here. We went by the other day and there's 2 *huge* statues of The Blue Brothers on top of the building. In full blues pose.

Jesup, GA

Good Morning,Good Morning every one! Moon, hope you and your family are safe and sound!! Hi Smiley,Hi Lynnie. Just fed the Poo's a little while ago,and it looks like it's going to pour rain any time. Gloomy day out. I'll be off to work in a few.

Jesup, GA

Tra la la boom de ay,I want to stay and play. It's off to work I go,guess I will miss the show. Later in the day, I will be back to play. Tra la la boom de ay,Tra la la boom de ay. Hope yall like my little song! Just didnt know I am so full of talent did ya? LOL Have a good day all.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

You are the bright beam of sunshine in an otherwise cloudy Western New York day, Dixie!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Good Morning All.
Dixie, love the song. It looks like you are gonna get more IDA than we did....sorry. It has just been GRAY outside for 2 days, no rain hitting the ground, but you can feel it on your skin ....dodged another Hurricane bullet. Thanks for the good thoughts. Hope you and the Poo's don't float away.
Smiley, I certainly was confused by the electric acid kool-aide pic too. I think Dave is trying to convince Venice that Garcia is David Crosby...LOL
Lynnie, my mom was a member of the Columbia Record Club when I was young. I have a few of the albums she bought from them. Mostly Montevanni and Henry Mancini type stuff. My dad trashed all my collections of books, music, toys and comic books when I left home....knew I should have taken them with me....cha-grin.....

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Good Morning Moon. I think you are right ~ Dave is trying to pull a fast one on Venice. Don't be fooled, Venice!

My mom had Sergio Mendez & Brazil '66 - remember them? And Trini Lopez. And Tony Bennett, but he never goes out of style...

All my stuff is gone from childhood days too. She would always give me the 10 or 12 cents for the latest comic book. (I'm dating myself). I had quite the collection of Archie comics.

Bill still has his comic book collection. I cataloged it once on excel - similar to Trina's plant list.

Well we're off! Girl has a doctor's appt. After that we're going to the spca. She is going to be volunteering starting in December, and they just brought in 30 dogs & puppies that were abandoned, they're thinking puppy mill. We may not be able to see them, but we can check out what she will be doing. Probably cleaning cages, but that's a very important job. After all, they have to live in those cages.

Check you all later. Don't float away, Dixie. I keep my fingers crossed for you southern folks.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Morning all,

Another day of Dr appointments for friends hubby.

Anyone know where you could find a honest appraiser for Old German Books or how to find one?
Not any around here that could do these things, so would probably have to be an online thing.

I am talking Old German language and books that mostly were burned by Hitler. Most German's cannot even read these, I am told.

Getting ready then I'm off.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

JJ, you might consider talking to Barbara. Being in Germany, she might be able to steer you to an appraiser/collector. I know there is a large auction house in Chicago...Leslie Hindman http://www.lesliehindman.com/
Have a safe day....chat later

Smiley, some of my comics were 3 for a quarter....grin Of course I remember Brasil 66, and Herb Alpert & Tiajuana Brass...how about Nino Temple and April Stevens? Or Steve and Edie?

Keaau, HI

Where is David Crosby?

JJ, have you tried contacting a library? Maybe in a larger city or Chicago?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Livin' large on the west coast Dave, but not in any of those pics....grin

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Morning Venice. Hope your day is going well.

Smiley, I think it is great that Ang is gonna work with SPCA. Good on her.

Have a great day y'all. Catch ya later, Moon

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I hate rain! especially when it comes with a massive temperature drop!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, sorry about your drippy weather. It is gray wanting to turn bright gray and 57 degrees! It will be dry for us all this week and with sun. I sure don't mind that. Kitty has eaten just a little bit more of my palm. I guess she will eat just the lower leaves so she has a few more to chomp off!

I got one thing done this morning that needed to be done. Now a few errands after I eat lunch.

Dixie, hope your weather doesn't get too bad. Do you leave the duckie poos outside when it rains? Do they like the rain?

Be back later! Hope everyone is have a good day!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I heard from Dr Mark today about Simba, my big guys tumor.
It was a basal cell tumor, relatively aggressive, grows quickly. There is a potential that they can spread.
Prognosis is good,............. can't say great because they can spread
Completely excised, for the most part............. for the most part??
And we need to keep an eye on him. He said if I had any questions to call, or he will talk to me when we have the stictches taken out.

At least I can breath a little easier for now

Sorry about Simba but thank goodness it isn't any worse. Hope they got it all.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I'm watching the Ft. Hood memorial, and lunch,I forgot it's in the micro!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

thanks venice,
Completely excised, should mean that they got it all, but the part.... for the most part, threw me off.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

yeah, that sounds odd Kassy!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Moon I thought of asking Barbara and still might . Hate to bother her though. Thanks

Venice library is a thought too. I did contact the Museum in Chicago. Waiting to hear.

I took some pics of the books and found a card..in English ..that describrd what they were, which will help.
Not being a History buff it means nothing to me. It is an original..so it says.. of the History of Israelies since the time of the Maccabies..whoever they were in 1800's

Kassy I think vets and Dr.s are always throwing in something like that just to cover themselves. If they said they got it all and something happens people...not saying you.. get sue happy.
Simba looks pretty healthy, bet he does fine.

Trina no rain here, Sunshine!!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

pppplllllbbbbttttt! JJ It stopped here for the moment...sorry I need a minute

Hi all and hope all are having a great day. It's a rainy one here today.

jjsgramma, I will watch for those zhu zhu pet's for you and glad your getting the sunshine today.

Kassy, I sure hope your cat does not get any worse. Wishing you all the best with Simba.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Kassy, glad to hear ole Simba is doing ok. It could have been much worse. Walk on the sunny side of the street!

We will keep our fingers and paws crossed for him.

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

DIL said Simba gets a full body check at least once a week from now on.

I told her good luck, he has claws.........LOL

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Jesup, GA

Hi all, It's raining, cats, dogs, rats,THERES A FROG STRANGLER GOING ON GIRLS. Poo's floated by the window a few minutes ago. Lester ,was holding up a sign that said Arizona or bust! They were talking among them selves a little earlier. That they were planning a vay.kay. to a dryer climate. Think I heard Mexico mentioned as well.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Are you getting hammered, Dixie? I see the radar map on the weatherbug, can't even see Georgia for all the yellow & green.

Thanks Rachel.

Venice Thanks. I think I have found the author an Isaak Markus Jost 1793-1860.
I have emailed the history dept of John Hopkins and a University in Jerusalem, Israel.

I would think they would have an idea.

The things I get myself into.....^_^

Jesup, GA

Kassy,I'm glad Simba's got a fighting chance. Glad that they were able to remove all of the tumor. She looks a lot like my cat. I'll have to send a picture of him. Hi Rachel, how the heck are ya girl? Hi Trina,Smiley,JJ's,Venice,Moon.

Think I need a drink!! Will look better then.

Jesup, GA

Yeah Smiley,it is yuckie, muckie, boggy, soggy. Only things around here that seem to be enjoying it are the duck Poo's. Well, and may a few frogs.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I think the frogs were drowned in the front garden, and my hyacinths are trying to sprout!
