Good morning Moon! That ice cream sounds pretty darn good. Pass me a bowl! I have to go to Wally World this morning. I may as well get off my old duff and get it over with. I didn't have to work today. And the crowd roars!! Hope your weather has made a change for the better. I haven't listened to weather ,news or any thing this morning. To know whats going on. As far as the news,A lot of times I'd prefer not to know. I'll catch up with yall a little later in the day. Every one have a good morning!!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

See ya later Dixie. Have fun in the great box Wally store....buy some skittles....grin

My first concert Moon! The Guess Who is what got me to the SarsFest concert in Toronto a few years ago, also. Now THAT was an experience! 600,000 people. Never saw anything like it in my life. Super Fun!

I am a purist with my pie, need vanilla ice cream, but I'll take the chocolate decadence on the side...

There used to be a flavor here put out by Perry's Ice Cream. I don't know if they're national or local only. Anyways, it was called White Lightening. It was dark chocolate ice cream with "lightening" ripples of white chocolate, and also had dark chocolate chunks in it. My forehead would get all tingly when I ate it. Had to hide it from the kids, their eyes would glaze over...

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I thought I remembered you mentioning the Guess Who when you talked about Toronto concert a bunch of threads back.

I like vanilla with cherry pie, but I really like NY extra sharp cheddar with my apple pie. grin One of the reasons I shop at Wal-mart is because they carry Cabot's extra sharp Cheddar....lol

That was a regional ice cream I guess. Down here we get Delta Blues, blue berry cobbler ice cream, with FLAKEY, CRUNCHY cobbler pieces in it. and Chocolate Cherry Bordeaux....too yummy.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

yum for sure... love blueberries to death!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Hi there everyone! Here I just finished my breakfast and you are talking about pie, ice cream, and chocolate!!!! Oh my! LOL

Jesup, GA

Guess what I have!? Bought a Pecan Pie which is still warm. That I plan to put a big scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top. Would any one care to join me in my piggishness?

Jesup, GA

Burp.....is any one there???

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

DIXIE!! YOU'RE KILLING ME!!!

Yesterday, I think it was you, mentioned pecans and I thought "what? no pecan pie??"

Given the choice (this is how much I love pecan pie) I think I would take that over chocolate. I know Lynnie, spank me. But it's the truth. I think.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dixie! What are you doing!!!! It even sounds like a homemade type of pie! So so nice!

Jesup, GA

Me too Smiley. You can also bake them with chocolate chips in them. Very sinful, but oh soooo yummy. By the way that piece I just ate with the ice-cream was ohooo so good.LOL Hate to torture ya like that. Grin

Just to break from all those wonderful things. . . . !

I just opened a begonia seed pod. I have never seen their seeds before. It is just red powder! It must be less than half a pinch but hundreds of seeds! I was really surprised. I had to look it up to see what begonia seeds looked like and yes, they were seeds.

It is a wonder that I get anything done at my desk when Kitty is sitting where I do everything!

Jesup, GA

It is home made V. I bought it at a little bakery called Sugar-n-Spice. It just wouldnt do for me to work in there. Hot breads, they have a Spinach dip also that is sooo good. All sorts of cheese spreads. Fudges,Pralines, all sorts of wonderful and decdant stuff.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

groan... almost lunchtime

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Oh no! NO! NO! NO! What are you trying to do to us Dixie?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Smiley, see the little bit of dark between Kitty's front toes? That is how I can tell if she has been climbing the tall chain-link fences!

(Zone 5b)

I know, I'm HUNGRY! you guys are killing me....
I made a fudge pecan pie, boy was it sweet.

Jesup, GA

Sorry guys. I hope that I didn't make yall too hungry. LOL

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Lynnie, that is why you need to have some vanilla ice cream with it!!!!

Jesup, GA

Vienice,Kitty is just darling. Hey Lynnie,I got a Poo pie oop's! I mean I got a pecan pie. LOL Want some?

Jesup, GA

Sorry Poo's mommy was just making a little joke.

Jesup, GA

Guess I had better get up and try to work some of this pie and ice-cream off. Catch up with yall in a bit.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I can see, Venice. I remember you mentioning it before, but would have never remembered on my own.

(Zone 5b)

Venice that cat looks very intelligent...I'd be afraid to fall asleep in front of her.

Dixie I've been thinking about chicken pot pie all day......
ok I gotta run errands......

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Dixie, how gross (your joke)! lol

I am sure Kitty likes your compliments Dixie and Smiley! She has gone in the bedroom now for her morning sleep. She sleeps under the table cloths beside my bed. She thinks she is all hidden but many times I see her tail or leg sticking out from the bottom.

Kitty is certainly street wise! Intelligent? It really doesn't seem that way because I can't teach or make her do anything! Very muscular for a cat, that is what my Vet says.

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

I like your ivy. I like the pot your ivy is in!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Smiley, do you have ivy or do you want some?

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

Nope, I'm good. Just commenting. I like old china. It looks old, even if it isn't. Very quaint.

Thanks for asking, though. DH will kill me if one more thing enters the house. He's not used to so much stuff inside. I'm the outdoor person, he's the indoor person. But a lot of my outdoors is now indoors and it's new to him. I had a juncus outside and we brought it in. Did fine in the sunroom, but he moved it. Now it's browning. This morning I said "maybe we should put that back in the sunroom" (in my nice gentle coaxing way).

I think I may take over the care of most of the plants inside. He babies them too much. At least for the winter, the ones I brought in.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Afternoon,
I'll just have the ice cream, don't like pecan pie. Sorry

Venice love your little pot of ivy but how come your table isn't buried like mine? LOL
And the cat couldn't find room underneath it to hide.

Think I need an intervention!!!

Back to work I go.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Yummy, pecan pie....shame on ya Dixie....grin We have a bakery here called Ambrosia. It has been said that you can gain weight just sitting in the parking lot.....I wouldn't know as I have never managed to stay in the parking lot...lol

Venice, Kitty is just beautiful. And, yes, she is intelligent...she has you doing everything for her...pretty smart I'd say....grin

Ice cream for JJ, she can have mine and I'll take her pie....grin.

You tell him, Smiley....grin I am with you, I love old china so much I got a special bit for the drill so I could use the china as planters.

Lynnie, you just figured out supper for us tonight. Turkey pot pie....easy peasy as the Canadian TV host says...and yummy. Thanks too much....grin

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

JJ, that photo is very misleading! I took that photo way last year. My bedroom does NOT look like that now. You are not the only one who needs an intervention!!!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Moon, I know that is what you are suppose to do. However, I have grown plants in teapots and other pots without holes for many years and have not had a problem. In fact, before DG, I would say that half of my plants are in those types of containers. Also, you would think there might be a problem because teapots have such small openings at the top. Not so for me.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Venice, I have a problem here with DHJim thinking stuff needs to be watered...and watered...and watered...LOL If stuff didn't have drainage, the plants would float out....grin

I had a tea pot plant for each of the women in our families that have passed, (grandmothers, aunts, sisters, mothers) but had to rework all of them as DHJim drowned the lot....now just have to figure out who gets what again....smile

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

We have a rule here that only 1 person takes care of the plants. Inside or out. I may ask him (or vice-versa) to water this plant or that plant, but I would never just go start watering the indoor plants without Bill saying OK.

We learned that the hard way, both of us taking care of things.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

LOL, Smiley. You have to understand, All plants are my responsibility, even the ones he claims as his....(ahem) I had some African Violets on the kitchen window sill that he watered almost everytime he was at the sink....no matter how much I scolded. His response was always the same....They "looked" thirsty. I finally had to tell him that every time he watered the plants, I was going to do a re-format on the computer hard drive...only had to do that a couple times before he got the idea..."don't re-format the hard drive....PLEASE!" evil grin

Kenmore, NY(Zone 6a)

LOL! I figured something like that, Moon! Sometimes they need something drastic to happen to realize things.

We had the reverse happen. Killed things from lack of water. (I thought you did it.. no, I thought you did it..)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

LOL. Just a matter of figuring out WHAT exactly will get their attention....grin

The only "shared" things around here are the checking account and Responsibility....lol
