Jackie - Lovely P. Bush bloom!

Debra - Ooooh! Very nice. :-) Exciting to see Fall/Winter blooms! :-) I. purpurea?

I got a really interesting two-tone bloom. This is Mauve Splash with another color besides the Mauve! Where it came from in the gene pool ... I have NO idea!

And the other interesting bloom was Diluted Fuji no Muraski. :-)

It looks' like a little of your Purple Flaked in that bloom, Becky. The MG in question at the end of the last thread did not open...I don't know why that happens sometimes. Here it is split open.

This beauty was open this morning.

my MG's still won't grow any bigger than a few inches.... is it too late to start them outside? or shall I just wait till spring?!?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Debra and Becky.
Debra, love that side shot of your bloom. Its a spectacular bloom.
Great color.
Becky, that's one reason Mauve Splash is so special, she's
so variable. Very pretty bloom
on the diluted too. He's always full of surprises.

Becky this flower White Mauve Splash is very interesting.

It is unfortunate that we are at the end of the season and it will not probably produce seeds. But the cultivar produced this kind of flower. He is scheduled to occur later with the other generation.
Therefore would be to select a clear variant .
With the selection by 2 or 3 years can obtain a light or very dark variant.

I put a flat (I do not know if the expression is good in English).
If we trade with such cultivar, the number of seeds is important: If only 2 seeds are exchanged, imagine that they produce a single plant, is not sure that this plant can express all the possibilities . I believe that chance plays a role.

Chance play a role?

I finally got a double kikyo in speckles. The ratio was about a 1 in 4 occurance. Roll the dice enough times and you find the numbers. This is not a good picture because the flower is half frozen covered in dew but it promises next year this can reappear. Karen

It is time to say bye bye to the garden with all these half frozen plants with twisted and contorted blooms. My kitten decided to sing me a song in the window sill with the garden in view. meow!!!

Really nice blooms Jackie, Debra, Teresa. Nice to see so many nice ones this late in the season.

Becky, Mauve Splash was a good bloomer for me too. I'm glad you've enjoyed the blooms, I know we all enjoyed seeing your pictures.

I have 2 Alamo vines that are growing together from 2 separate pots next to each other. Found this bud yesterday & thought it was going to open today but it doesn't seem that it's ready yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Karen - You speckled Kikyo is neat! :-)

gardenpom - Your blooms are so pretty! Nice to see lots of blooms. My I. purpureas are taking off now, too! LOL! Must like the cooler weather. I know I sure do!!! Love that light blue further up the thread with the dark blue rays!

Helena - Love your blooms! Your light blooms Keep an eye on the Alamo vine... they are sneaky ... they will bloom mid-day. I figured that out accidentally one afternoon around 1 pm ... there were suddenly numerous blooms on my vine. Looking at it that morning were just the buds like in your photo. Check it throughout the day ...

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, can't wait to see your Alamo vine blooms.
I've forgotten what they look like.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Becky and Jackie. I checked it, it's still a closed bud. It's going to be a small bloom, it's the first bud and I don't see any others. Maybe the cold has affected it, we've had very cool to cold nights and mornings.

Helena, that's a pretty pink bloom.
That's the kind of weather we had been having. Now, finally it's
warmed up and we're enjoying some beautiful fall weather. Hope
it lasts.

Debra, Your Blue Dawn could be indica. That's a common name
for indica. Can't recall offhand if her lvs are claw like. Recent pics of indica
on another thread, Becky's I think.

Great photos, Ladies!

I love the Yaguruma Blizzard photo, Jackie! Sweet little Jordin Rose bloom! :-)

Debra - Your basement greenhouse is quite the set-up! I think your rooting container is a great idea! Love the fact that you have an a pump in it to keep the water moving! I bet you get great results!

gardenpom - Wonderful photos as always! I liked the one photo of the closing bloom! Your perspective is always so interesting! And you know I just love the Flying Colors/Blue Star cross! Terrific!!!

Helena - Nice photo of the Pink Flaked I. purpurea bloom. I think the cold weather does affect the blooms/vines.
