Don't think I'd swim there for awhile! Gee, Yankee, I didn't know jellyfish were edible.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I think just about anything is edible if you put it in front of someone on a reality show and give them some reward for eating it. Heehee

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

As big as these things are, they would be a perfect food source. I bet they taste like chicken:-)

My brother's swear frog legs do. :0

North Augusta, ON

They do!!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Ha ha, you tried them too huh? They told me it's a french thing and im very french...just couldn't do it! LOL

Frog legs DO taste like chicken.

A man here in town used to bring me 5 lbs every year when they were legal...haven't had any since he passed away years ago.

Poor Kermit.

More puppy antics here......I just walked back into the room and didn't see the puppies in their "circle pen". Then the cushion in their bed starting lifting up and there they were, hiding! Here's a shot of the two of them under the cushion. That's Bailey on the left with the red collar and Carli on the right with the green. Silly girls!!!

Awwww! Waaay too cute! I'm in love!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Me too, PV!! They are so funny! They keep a smile on my face, even when they are exasperating! LOL

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

They keep me smiling too!

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

That's great! I'll try to make it a point to share their antics often, but of course, it is a full-time job! LOL

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Louise, this way we get puppy antics without having to have a puppy! Of course, you know I'd love the puppy!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I remember! Wish I had some pics of Phoebe to share--they are all on paper. She used to run around so much, It was hard to even get a puppy pic of her. She made the groomer earn her pay too! I used to have her play with the neighborhood kids, for the socialization, and to wear her out. LOL! I kept saying that 1st year was almost like the 1st year you have a baby.^_^

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

You got that right! I do feel like a menopausal mom of twins most days! But once they get through this adorable, but exhausting, first year, it will be so great to have two to entertain and keep each other company. I still say two is easier than one, but I'm not sure I'd count the puppy days in that equation!

Here is Ivy (aka the Evil Cat) she's our only pure bred cat, she's an Abyssinian.

Here is Ivan and Theta. Ivan is the kitten that I found in Ohio (he was about 2-3 weeks old) that I bottle fed. Keep in mind, in May of this year, he fit in the palm of my hand...lol. Theta is our Komondor (not corded up), she instantly became "mom" to Ivan when we brought him home. She's probably one of the best dogs I've ever had the pleasure of living with.

Here are some photos of the cats when we brought home the huge honking artificial from Paul's parents.

Ivan in the thick of it, he's our lead investigator cat :-)

This is Doofy (he came with this name, the poor guy) I have nicknamed him Fat Cat or Doofaroma...lol. If it sounds like a treat bag, he moves like the devil was chasing him, if not, he pretty much channels Jerry Garcia all of the time :-)

How motherly is Theta to Ivan, or how close can a big 80+ lb dog be with a kitten...hmmm...you be the judge :-)

A photo op that I couldn't pass up. Usually Ivy is never seen beside Doofy (they are mortal enemies, always spitting and hissing at one another), Ivan usually is never still long enough from tormenting the two older cats to get a pic of them together, so, when this photo op emerged, I ran downstairs, got the camera, and hoped they were still there:

One last one, then I'm done. First, the dog bed was originally intended for our Pug, Iris (who sadly can not be photographed, she never stays still long enough!)...well, Theta, commandeered Iris' pet bed...so she doesn't exactly fit into it. Whenver Theta takes her nap in the doggy bed, she gets company to cuddle up beside her:

Here are our two kitties...
Ta Moko was the wild kitten from the woods we trapped a couple of years ago
Simon Templar is the monster we brought home from the Greater New Haven Cat Project after the Dude (the marmalade cat - who we also trapped - who used to watch me garden) had to be put to sleep.
We didn't want Moko to be lonely. We've been living with Simon for a year, i'm pretty sure she isn't thanking us...
She looks at Simon like this a lot. (So do we...)

We'd originally gotten the harness and leash because i thought i could bring Moko into the garden and tie her off while i worked. She won't go for that, but she has trained Eric to walk her. Here she is in the snow...

Eric took this one... Simon sleeps in many odd positions... he also snores!

Thom & Amy, what beautiful pets you both have! Thom, I never knew anyone that had a komondor---she looks incredibly sweet, & how lucky she likes the cats. Amy, I love the photo on the presents---

New York, NY(Zone 6b)

I enjoyed looking at the photos of all of your beautiful pets. What sweetie pies you all have. Thanks for sharing.

Nice shots, Amy and Thom! Love seeing all the furries.

Koms tend to have a bad rap. I was more than aware of this when I went in search of one. I switched vets 2 years ago, and when I made the appt. for Theta to have her yearly vet visit, the vet had several horrible experiences with Koms. After she met Theta, she's changed her perspective on the breed a little bit. Around strangers Theta is standoffish, not aggressive, she just hangs back and watches. With children, even children she isn't to familiar with, I hope and pray that the day Does NOT come when I'm walking her and someone acts aggressively toward a child...I'll be missing an arm. Seeing her at my parents house (they have a fenced in yard) with my 3 nephews and niece is a sight to be seen. She lets them romp all over her and all over the place, whenever an adult (that she doesn't know) comes near the yard...let's just say we have no fear of anyone going near the kids with her out there. Shedding...oh boy...but I can take that, she's just a great all around pup. Paul and I were both shocked when we saw her pick up the kitten by his neck, anytime she thought he was doing something dangerous. She'd pick him up, and plop him down in the dog bed...lol.

Fur kids are just awesome :-)

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

OMG is thta cute about picking up the kittens.....she was born to be a mother Thom!

This was outside Aunties house next door yesrterday. It reminded me alot of my dog Bandit, this thing was huge.

Beautiful furry pics and stories everyone! I love Theta in the pom bed--LOL! I'd say she is pretty tolerant living with the cats and a pom. LOL!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

Oh, what cuties!!! I enjoyed all these pics and stories too!!

Thomaston, CT

Looks like a Tibetan Mastiff, Pixie---my DH wants one---I'm like in your next life! I like unusual dogs, but the strangest I've met was a pumi---a small, Hungarian dog, with kinky fur, staring eyes & a bad attitude.

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Adorable shots, Thom and Amy! Pixie - what is that gorgeous hunk of fur?

Thom - I love that shot of Theta in the way-too-small bed, and also the story about her picking up the kitty by the scruff. I agree....fur kids are simply wonderful!!! I can't help but wonder how Theta would treat that ChurchLady (use the last part very loosely!) if she observed her plucking the well-placed new plants from their earthen homes.....hmmm?hmmmm? Let's just think about a Darwinian solution to the Cruella de Church problem......hmmmmm? hmmmm?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Do you have to shave Theta, to keep the dread locks off? Makes her look like a poodle without them, I'd let them grow back.
