NE Forum Pets 2!

WOW!!
I've missed so much!

Adorable puppies Louise! I can almost smell the puppy breath and new puppy smells.
Love all of the pet shots.

I finally got an almost family shot. Thanks to half a bag of Temptations. Every cat except Rosie and one of the dogs (Klick).

I posted the story over on the Pets Forum about this cat. I stopped to pick a dead cat out of the street on my way to work a couple of weeks ago and ended up, with the help of another person who stopped, too, taking a very alive cat to the closest vet. They are calling her "Lucky" and she is staying at Trumbull Animal Control and is on their PetFinders website. She will be up for adoption soon. She is part Maine Coon and has an unflappable temperament. I went over to animal Control this morning to take her picture and she just let me comb a couple of tangles out of her fur and walked around waiting for me to finish photographing her. She has some staples in her side and a broken tooth - but otherwise she seems in perfect health. So here is her picture.

Leave it to you, Victor! When I saw them like that, I thought, "How cute - daddy frog is watching out for his little one"

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Ha - oh yeah, "Come to Daddy!" ^_^

Victor!!!!!!!!!!

Great pics, Songs.

Wow, Lucky is a beautiful cat.

Anyone watch the dog show after the parade on Thanksgiving?

Thomaston, CT

I did, Jen, while I was cooking! So, only saw parts of it---told my DH Sadie would win it all---the airedale that placed 2nd to Sadie I met 2 years ago at a dog show---it's the top airedale in the country, but a real loose cannon. Yankee, Lucky is a beauty! She's sure to get adopted quickly. Three Gardeners...you must have a very patient pooch to live with so many cats....

Just watched the haunted show about pets on Animal Planet. Pretty cool!

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

Did you see the Animal Planet series Into The Pride on Saturday? I only saw parts - but it was fascinating!

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Awww...wish I had a larger living space! Good luck to Lucky!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

I saw that whole series, Cat. Was great.

Saw a real good one yesterday about a guy in AK who lived with bears for 20 years. (Not that young idiot who was eaten by them.)

Southwest , NH(Zone 5b)

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Either photoshopped or someone was experimenting....

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

No, it's real. It's a bunny. Its eyes are up at the top of its ears. The two black spots near its nose are just markings. Go look again. So cute.

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

It looks like a Furby

Newport News, VA(Zone 11)

Oh, I get it now.

Essex Junction, VT(Zone 4a)

AH, thank you, I totally didn't get that. well, then its *just* a bunny. meh

A new recall of pet food.
"Select bags of Premium Edge Finicky Adult Cat and Premium Edge Hairball could lead to gastrointestinal or neurological problems for cats, because they do not contain enough thiamine, an essential nutrient for cats." Here is the link to the article. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/34223285/ns/health-pet_health

Thomaston, CT

Thanks, Yankee---I don't have a cat, but I feed Premium Edge to my dogs--if they can't get a formula right for the money they're charging, I'm switching!

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

How awful!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Gross! Sushi??

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

Yikes! What do they eat? People?

Thomaston, CT

Loved the hound---wish I had sound so I could hear what was going on---the jellyfish? UGH

North Augusta, ON

Couldn't watch the cute video....says it isn't available in my Country...

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Really??!! Are you in N Korea?!!

North Augusta, ON

I knowww!! Baffles the heck out of me too...

Questa, NM(Zone 5b)

I loved the hound and orangutan story.

Jellyfish aren't sushi! They don't eat people, either. They could kill you with their stingers, though.

Fairfield County, CT(Zone 6b)

I ate jellyfish once - in a restaurant - and I broke out in a rash. (Just thought I'd share.) :)

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Cat, you're a lot braver than me! Got stung by one once, wouldn't want to try and eat one.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Peanut butter and jellyfish sandwich?
