He he he!! Overall, he's a nice guy, just a little traditional. The muzzle sounds like a good idea, though!
NE Forum Pets 2!
Thanks all. Great pooch shots, Patti.
giggle
What a cutie!
LOL! Are her eyes really that color blue?
what is it with cats & boxes.
No, that's just a reflection in her pupils. Her eyes are green. Her brother's are gold.
Don't forget they like bags too.
Kids love boxes too.
Patti, your horse was a beauty! My son's wirehaired griff is a very active dog, much like those handsome border collies! His only fault is digging----last summer he got a hole 6 or 7' deep! And the kitty photos are great---one of these days, I may have a kitty again!
Patti - I love the story about your horse! I understand how you feel about Puffy. Please do find a photo if you can. My Dad brought home a wonderful collie named Lady (one year old) when I was ten. My Mom never stopped complaining about her being in the house and shedding. She was a special dog and very very smart. My Dad would send her to our rooms to wake us up for school each morning. She would gently place her head on our bed and look at us until we got up, bedroom by bedroom. She lived to be quite old and my Dad died shortly after he lost her.
Harper and Lucy.....very cute/sweet kitties!
Whoa, I thought Shadow was a digger. He digs to find worms to roll in. Eeeew. Here he is with his favorite fire hydrant toy.
Louise, I love your story about Lady. I'd love to wake up to her every morning. Sometimes Shadow licks my toes and if he's in the mood, Wompers will pat my face, but usually they let me sleep.
that look that Cleo has in that photo just says it all... made me giggle
What kind of dog is Shadow? He looks huggable:-)
Thanks Allison. She can get lost in a room, the poor girl.
Joyce, he's a huggable, loveable miniature poodle.
Love the cat collage. Beautiful watercolors, especially
Thanks Harper.
They represent a lotta years and special memories.
I can tell. : )
JoAnn - love the cat collage! Is that nice spot where Alfie is your home? It is a lovely, comfortable area for sitting and looking.
Harper - Shadow is a sweetie. I hope he likes Bailey and Carli. They are too rambunctious right now as puppies, but when they are girlfriend types, I think/hope they'll be less enthusiastic around other dogs. They love people and animal
Shadow is not a dog person. Well, he's quite a grump, actually. He's not a cat person either. He generally doesn't make friends with other critters. He "tolerates" them, lol. When I go to pet the cat, he'll growl out of jealousy, from across the room. So, I bet Carli and Bailey are very sweet and friendly, I'm sure I will love them, but I can't make any promises about Shadow.
Thanks everyone.
Alfie was my sisters cat. That picture was taken on her porch when she lived in Piermont by the Hudson River.1994
Well, my cat, who thinks he is a dog, came home today after being gone for three weeks. Usually, when I let the dogs out for their last potty run in the evening, he slips out, and when I let them out again in the morning, he comes in to eat and sleep. So one morning he doesnt show up and I figured it was that time and he had found someone.
A couple of days later I hear a screeching on my porch and go look and it is a beautiful white, fluffy female, obviously in heat, and calling her man. I told her he wasn't home and i didnt know where he was. She took off quickly, screeching the whole time and I thought I heard something about a cheating dog.
He has done this before and always returned, but after the second week I was getting really worried that he may have gotten hurt somewhere especially since the weather has been so bad. In the third week with freezing temps, I started driving around looking for his remains. I asked the dogs if they knew anything but they weren't talking and just wanted to know if they could have what was left of his kibble.
So, this evening, the puppies stop dead in their tracks, perk up their ears and run to the front door.I go investigate and hear meowing and scratching. I figure its some more girlfriends, but open the door and there he is. I am so happy to see him I pick him up and search for wounds but he is intact and fine, just a little thin. I ask him of course "where have you been?". He just looks at me deadpan, as if to say "where do you think? "
He does not tolerate my gushing and squeezing and kissing between questions, and jumps down, runs in the kitchen and demands food, which I (feeling like his first foolish girlfriend) provide, and then he jumps into my bed, curls up in a ball and promptly goes to sleep.
As I watch him sleep, I think, only a cat could treat me this way and get away with it.
Hee hee!
Love it!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
Anyone get Christmas gifts for the pets this year? I got a nice scratching post for the little ones. Nothing for Crash since he's not really into play anymore. Just more attention! (As if he needed anymore!)
Joyce, wonderful story! So glad Romeo is back home! Of course, my pups got Christmas presents! Robs got a stuffed cow, Suey a stuffed chicken----I usually keep the french doors to the LR closed as I do not trust the airedale---sure enough, I left the door open to go upstairs for a moment---I came back down, and he had picked up & moved 2 presents---ha ha---I didn't put his under the tree yet! Merry Christmas to all our wonder pets.
My cats got cat toys in the shape of lobsters. We went to Salem, MA and found them.
Jumper2
p.s. we arrived safely at 2am.
Thanks Victor Celeste and Robin! I'm glad he's home too. I got them those stuffed toys with the squeakers inside. They love chewing on them and making them squeak. Even thou everyone got one, they are still fighting over them :-)
Victor, I got the dogs a pull toy. They will drag each other around until the decide to chew through the ropes and then it will be done. They are hard on toys.
Jadajoy, So glad the Mr. Cat got home. Perhaps he needs to have his profile bobbed. Patti
Merry Christmas to you too Yank, and those Christmas tree hating fur-babies! lol
Patti, I had Budhha fixed as a baby. When he continued to disapear, I had it done again cause the first time they said they might not have gotten it,because he was so small. Guess it didnt work the second time either :-(
A gorgeous St Bernard Celeste! Let us know what they named him.
Yankeecat, I'd rather have the cat anyday:-)
Merry Christmas Everyone!
