Too much going on. Went out and fixed swiss steak, mashed potatoes and mixed veggies for my elderly friends and then we had chicken noodle soup and tuna fish sandwiches

oh they're laughing and giggling and dancing and jumping and running up and down the stairs and some are making brownies and they've had candy and soda and thier hyper....if my head didn't hurt so bad they would be entertaining, then Matt's having someone stay the night

No I do not have seeds for any of those things you just mentioned venice, but I do believe they are all on my want list...LOL

I asked Dave how long it takes to get blooms on that plant. I don't think I want those seeds.

Hi everyone. We stayed on the fringe of the rain for the most part. We got about 4 inchs when it crossed us but didn't get the wind. I was thankful for that as I have two really large oak trees at the corner of my house. I was afraid they would clay root over if we got the 70 mph gusts they got in Shreveport. We have been real concerned about our friends in Caldwell Parish where we pastored for so long. The levee on the Ouichita River was eroding and they were afraid it would break. Finally got some barges of big rocks there today, so hopefully they are out of danger.

When I was at my friends house yesterday, wateed her plants for her and noticed that this cactus was getting browner thatn it is in this pic. Tried to look in the pot without getting stuck and it looks like it is pulling up out of dirt....maybe its to long and heavy...

Anyways...trina don't have a cow...she told me to throw it away its getting old anyway.
Hate to do that, so what do I do. Repot it, or cut it off or what??

Son & girlfriend are moving to a new apt today. I just called him and used your line, Lynnie. Got his voice mail. (wakey wakey...) DH was laughing! I have a feeling it will be one of those moves where we're packing the boxes as they go on the truck. He said "come over at 3". "Why so late?" "That's when they're getting the truck." (Girlfriend's dad - biggest a** in the world) Silly boy, what time can you get in the apt? Is it cleaned? And it's raining to boot.

So we're supposed to go over at 10:00. We could have all the boxes moved by the time they get the stupid truck. Kids don't know anything about time management!

So that is what I'm doing today. Haven't even bought any candy, will have to do that before we come home.

When my son moved the guy who came to help brought his 3 yr old.

I finally ended up at new place with the kids (GS was 11/2). I had place cleaned up and most things put away before they would get there with net load.

I think more beer drinking then packing and moving was going on!!

yes you can cut off cacti, you just cut them off and let them scab over and then place them in the dirt

JJ it definately needs repotted, the pot is to small for a cactus that large, it's feeding on itself because it's not got enough dirt
