I'LL BE YOUR TENNESSEE LAMB....

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

No, actully this that one is called a sexlink.......they lay big brown eggs. She is a little over 4 years old. She wasn't one that my BF ordered. They got his order all messed up, so instead of 12 chicks they gave him 17 and they re-ordered for him the next year, and still managed to screw it up..........LOL

We gave up, we raise our own now.

Jesup, GA

I love the Poo babys V. I just joke a lot about them. I think chickens are pretty too. With any pet comes maintenance and responsibility.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

boy aint that the truth Dixie!

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

It sure does. My big guy is only one of my cats.

Oh, and do you keep your girls in a run all the time? I know some of ours were really bad when it came to flower beds. I use to have to fence my flower beds in when we had the leghorns.

Jesup, GA

LOL, Mine are supposed to lay the big brown eggs too.Kassy. Yeah Trina, I always wanted a couple of Pea Cocks, Or one or two of the chickens that have the plume on their head and feathers on their legs and feet. Cant think of what they are called though.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

she's got like 12 or more different types of chickens or something, but she's always loved animals, she also has a 2 McCaw's

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

well some of them are Polish chickens with the plum on there head and I think they have the feathers on there feet too

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

I got it, you wanted Silkie's

Jesup, GA

Do you have any of the polish chickens Kassy? If so I would like to see a picture of them. Trina if you see your cousin often take a couple of pictures for me.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Next Time I go over I will take pictures, we try to get together once a month but she's a CNA on thirds and Uncle John has been real sick, been meeting at the hospital more than the house

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

No, BF didn't want any with all the extra feather. I thought they would have been kind of cute, but he has to take care of them more then I do. I'm only there every other weekend.
We do have a number a EE's though. Best known as Easter egg Chickens.

I know all to well what that is like trina!

Which ones are the nicer chickens, the regular ones or the ones with all the extra feathers and such.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

it's sad because she litterally watched her mom die and now her dad, they both basically made themselves ill, I hate to say that but they did...unfortunately her little brother hasn't helped with anything, including paying for my aunts funeral...Now he's all ticked off because he found out when Aunt Lois died that the farm and everything had already been transferred into Alicia's name and he's not getting anything

Jesup, GA

Sorry your uncle isnt well T. Wishes, for him to be better. Thats a pretty chicken Kassy. Is that an Easter egg chicken?

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

Well I can tell you to never get a Black Australorp rooster! We had to of them and they chased people out of the yard. They tried to chase us too.

Yes dixie, that is one we raised from an egg ^_^

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

The simplest medium to root cuttings in is water. Nearly all the types of cuttings will root in water, except for leaf section cuttings that require sterile conditions. The best containers for rooting in water are small baby food jars. Whatever container you use should be relatively. The reason for using a small container is that cuttings release a rooting hormone in the water as they root. The least amount of water, the more concentrated the hormone. You can put several cuttings per container. Once roots are half an inch long, they can be potted up in regular potting mix and grown on. Forget any myths you’ve heard about water roots, the cuttings will transplant just fine.

Hello everyone and hope all have had a great day. I am just jumping in here.

Venice, did you get a bigonia plant?

Editing my post. Kassy added some good information concerning Begonia's if that was your question Venice.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I now have room to start some seeds, now that I have shuffled things around

Marinette, WI(Zone 4b)

My first thought would have been to put then in water though, just like I have the plants that JJ sent me sitting in water. Had to wait until I was off from work to take care of them, and work just ended today.
