For those who haven't picked their scarves (other than Audrey who is doing the candy canes...) here are the colors: the one that is on the orange side is RED, camera not picking up the tones for sure..lol

Trying to decide, the little thank you gift I've made for you all are almost complete..thought I would include it in the package but am tempted to send it out on the weekend, that way it would arrive early and we could do it whenever you have an hour or so and it would get us in the spirit of things, what do you think?

Hi, Betty, how aabout a blue and green for my two?

This is just the project for me right now. I am going this weekend to get a puppy. I have been searching for another dog since July when I put mine to sleep and now I will have one. But will need to stick close to home for a while until we have mastered the art of potty training so projects are good. Just have to keep her from chewing on the wood!

Ladydragon...hope you don't mind me jumping in here but just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear that you had to put your dog to sleep. I know how hard of a decision this can be. We love em like their our children don't we.

Morning...sitting here thinking just how much one can get done when you focus and put your mind to it..lol...

Postman just dropped into the office and picked up an envelope to deliver to each and every one of you..

What is in it??? think I'll share because there are a few things pertaining to the kit that I'd like to tell you about..

I managed over the past few days to cut out templates for an angel iris folding Christmas card..once you've done one I'm sure you'll have the bug and want to do many more for family and friends...

What is this card for you ask? gee whiz you all ask a lot of questions.lol..

I wanted to send you each a thank you for joining this workshop, many of you know how much I enjoy the Christmas season and it came to me, rather than my make you EACH a card why not send you everything to make your own? Aren't I smart?

So yesterday I went to Michaels (omg met dozens of friends - seniors of a group I started back in the 80's..all were on a bus tour shopping..could have stayed and visited with them but work and commitment called)..

On Monday/Tuesday I sat and cut out templates..they are not perfect like the machine die cut ones but hey, I'm looking at the 'bug' for scrapbooking..$499.99 - maybe next year) but for now it was hand cutting...

Last night I got home at 5:30 ate and decided while waiting for t.v. bingo I'd get supplies out..bingo kind of took 2nd place, I was enjoying matching and putting kits together..no I didn't win but I may have missed a number or too...oh well...as I did 2 or 3, I wanted to get 4 or 5 done, then on to 10, then 20 then 30..ooops, clock said 1:30pm...ouch..

This morning thought I'd be as tired as can be but not...I managed to leave the house extra early, had a package to send out (yuk, kind of forgot a plant swap I was in here in Canada..added a little extra something so am sure she'll be ok with it) and at same time I bought USA stamps...from 9am until 11:30 I managed to address all the envelopes in hopes of having them done by the time the postman came...yippee I made it..

By mid week next week you all should have received them....

Went back to read the 1st thread and was unsure if the following girls wanted to be included....

Ok, I'm getting a little discouraged. First I'm told by a co-worker about a week ago I guess that she had a dream me and her were driving somewhere together and we got in an accident and I was thrown out the windshield and killed. Now a different co-worker tells me that she took a vote somewhere for the most/least likely to get a divorce, she's undecided about me and Dave but doesn't think it will work. How nice is that to say to someone, especially when you hardly talk to them??? My goodness do they really have nothing else to do????

OMG Crissy, what's with these people...kindly tell them if they have dreams or thoughts on your marriage that you'd prefer they not tell you..nothing like putting doubts in your mind...good gracious some people's kids...

Stick with us DG friends Crissy, we're upbeat and postive...

I'm tellin' ya Betty!! Next time someone says something I'm going to remind them that it's not very many people who would work in a secretary position with a Bachelor's Degree in computers and the only reason I have stayed is because I love everyone in the office, but that could change. The person that had the dream is in the middle of a nasty divorce and the other has been divorced for about 3 months, so there you go.

I can't wait to see what that cell phone case looks like :) Maybe a surprise Christmas present LOL!!

Figure if I sleep about 2 to 3 hrs. a night, take catnaps here in the office I'll manage to get everything done for Christmas...

For Caleb (10)and Braedon (12) who have everything I got a brainstorm..maybe I could get them a telephone and pay for the year but first I have to check with Jeff to see if they have one? lol

OH the card kit will be wonderful!!! And maybe I can show mom how to do them, give her something new to work on....what fun!!

Drats, now I think of it..should have bought the package labels to do..as each card was labelled I could have done the 2nd one..now that they are mailed I have to go through the entire routine again..no smart...

This does not do the Christmas card justice...labtec camera's on the computer are poor quality..but, will give you an idea of what you will be doing...

Did some Tea Bag Folding cards years ago...looked at some of the Iris Folding but never managed to get in on a class...this will be fun!

Hope you'll enjoy it..it's one of many designs I've done...but what it will do is give you an idea of how it's done and if you want to do more...

the design can be ribbon (narrow) or decorative christmas wrap, scrapbooking paper...etc. lots of options..

Have a friend that came to the house today to spend the day with the decorative painters..staying over..I have class tonight, she'll sleep over and leave in the a.m. perhaps I'll teach her to do a few while the others are working on their deer...

Poor dear, she just lost her hubby but a few months ago, now they've just removed a lump fom her breast..she finds out Friday if it's cancer...so, she thought if she visited and kept busy she wouldn't be sitting at home worrying...

Betty my prayers are with your friend. And soft hugs too. I can't wait to get the envie too. I've never made cards before and that one looks so pretty....

I'm on the phone with my mom, she actually sat in the front seat today when they went into town, twice! That's improvement!!

No but I'm really excited to learn, maybe I can get it down so I can show the lady's in the iris club. Keeping everyone in my prayer's for good health and good days. I wish I had as much energy as all of you do. I keep telling my dr. I think my high blood preasure meds are slowing me down, because before I found out I had high blood preasure and started the meds I could go all day, but found out I was way high so trying to adjust to not running on lots of preasure, lol. Betty, you know I have wanted to know how to make those cards for a year now. Tried on my own but wasn't happy with the results. How nice to have another chance to try them. They are truly beautiful cards.

Yes, the house should be in a fun the next month or so with a new puppy around. I have missed my Shadow so much the past few months so this will be a new experience. Haven't had to train a puppy for years and years. Her name is Black Pepper or Pepper for short and she is a black Flat-Coated Retriever. My friends think I am nuts to go through this stage; why not get an older dog, but I tried without success so here we are. Now I can teach her to cuddle from the very beginning! Merry Christmas to me, two months early!!

Thanks for the prayers for Marg..she's terribly worried..let's hope the news on Friday will be good news...

OMG, 2 of my class called last night and said they were ill so I call the others and cancelled class..Marg and I had a nice catch up, she couldn't believe all the work I had done to the house since her last visit..

Her mind wasn't on painting during the day so she simply just visited with the class, they left and she took out her knitting and then Cathy who comes to let the animals out dropped in and kept her busy until I got home...

We played catch up on the folks in MacTier, so much news to take in..of course when I met Marg and the girls at Michaels on Tuesday they asked if I'd come and do a workshop for Christmas..to simplify things I said I'd do the cards and chose Nov.10th to drive up and teach it..long way from home so I'll be tired for sure..now I have mega work to do but have time here in the office so that's ok...

At 9pm I decided to take out materials and let her do a few... mistake/mistake..it was wel after 1:00am again when we went to bed.lol...

Had a visit with her this morning and off we both went, she home and I to work..almost missed the street here because the fog is soooo heavy you can't see 2" in front of you..the girls haven't made it in as yet, they'll say it's the weather but they never get here until 9:20 anyway..lol..no concept that we start at 9am BUT their dad owns the business so all is well with their arriving at that time...

You can tell I'm tired today, I'm chatty/chatty..always happens....

Tonight I have a portrait class...finished Braedon's last week and am now working on Kyle's...have 3 classes to finish it and then on to Noah's and all can be framed for Christmas...

Speaking of Christmas, a few friends are meeting me here at the office tomorrow afternoon for 3:00 .. we'll travel to the city to Ganz Warehouse where I get get some shopping done..need about 25 gifts for the painters..in Ganz sale they have many items that are valued $20-$30 and can be purchased for $5.00....they are only open for a few weeks in November and that's it so tomorrow night it will be...

Janice, congratulations on the puppy, how adorable..someone to cuddle with..I keep saying Sailor is the last dog I'll have, very close to having her put down..love border collies but with travelling a lot more it's just not feasible to have a dog..always have to have Cathy come stay at the house while I'm away..kitties, well as long as someone comes in to feed/give water and clean litter I can be away..but, I'm sure once Sailor is gone I'll rethink my strategy, but, you are far braver than I to take on a puppy...good luck girl..

Susan, high blood pressure is so dangerous, best you get in and see if your meds have to be adjusted...

let me know as soon as you receive your cards..it's difficult for everyone to be available at same time, as many of you know I come to the office everyday but work I don't...think my job has been created just to keep me entertained..lol..

tv/vcr/craft table..I do everything here to entertain myself including playing on computer, so am virtually available all day every day and can go through it with each of you...

When you get the card and have an hour, let me know and we'll play...

This weekend, all the kits will be put together and pkgd. ready for next weekend..

Thank You again, My dr has just changed my meds and its only been a month so still trying to adjust, this one seems to be better I only run out of energy in the afternoon, so at least I can get some things done in the morning. I keep telling him I've run this body with high presure for 51 years so its going to be hard to make it run normal, which then my kids told him thats the problem he didn't understand I never did any thing normal like most people. So he's decided to see how I do with my blood preasure a little higher then normal and it seems to be doing good, I have to keep a check on it during the day and go back ever month for a while, but at least I don't feel like a sombie like the other meds were making me feel. Everyone one stay warm and have a good day. We are drizzle and cold. Susan

My friendly owl came back this is the baby from the one that was raised in my chicken pen, when he got hurt three years ago, I didn't get a picture of him he is now about 3 foot tall, a big barn owl, they come and eat the mice and grain I keep out for the chickens. Though everyone would like to see why my kids tell ever one I don't have normal around my house.

Love the owl Susan, I hope this medicine works better too, horrible running out of energy and needing to sit for awhile regaining strength.

That owl is just gorgeous!!! I would think he is a good addition to keep the mice population down....No mice equals low blood pressure for me!!!!!
