Hi JJ's LOL about the grandbabies. Lynnie, just told my husband we can retire and live the good life now. We will be Poo royality from now on. Building the Poo Empire from scratch. No pun intended. I wont tell you what he said but,it was the same thing as poo but starts with an S. Grin

Venice I would find out exactly what type of hen and chick it is first because not all types are hardy in our zone

it's planted in my oleander so when it's warm enough for that to out, then it will go out

I am not really fond of vinca or sweet potato vines because they are so darn hardy. But they might look good together in a pot with something else, something more vertical.

That hen gave us 35 chicks before she died after she bloomed :-(
She gave me seeds though too :-)

Then i put a bag over it to collect seeds. Boy are they ever TINY. Needed a Magnifying Glass to see them.

Some things I plant from seed. But due to our short growing season lately here, and the lack of window space away from my cats that like to taste plants, I ususlly start some flowers from seeds if I can move them to my BF's before too long.

My mom had hens and chicks for years and I never saw any of hers bloom.

No I don't want any Venice. I have the vinca minor and I throw away a ton of it every year because it spreads so fast. Ssshhh thats a secret.

I have seen conflicting zone info on the vinca major. Most say 6-9 but his one says 4-9.

The one I have stays green and outside.

Yeah ,Lynnie instead of listening to S--- all day,I can be selling it. Wonder if I can mix the ducks poo with the chickens? I'll call it Uckens . When not using it for plants it can also be a good alternative for those jobs around the house. Caulk,Glue,Grout we got the Poo for you.

I had a turlucken (?) for Christmas once...a duck stuffed in a hen stuffed in a turkey (I think that's what it was, it was meat I ate it) so you could get the poo from those guys & serve 'em up for the holidays.
