Yeah, wha. In 1986 I found myself rooting for the Mets to win their regular season games even though I was first and foremost a Red Sox fan. And how did the Mets repay me? By breaking my heart into a million tiny pieces. Every year on Bill Buckner's birthday I would burn one of his cards. I finally gave that up in 2004 though. Besides, it wasn't all his fault (I guess).

The SyFy channel just replayed the original V the other night. I watched it for a while. It wasn't nearly as good as I remembered it being. Not surprisingly, our special effects have come a long way since then!

The special effects are real funny from back then, you can even see it in comparing the original Star Wars trilogy with the newer ones.

That was the Mets-Astros series too, wasn't it?

LOL! I have relatives who live near Yankee stadium, they said the hoopla was deafening and didnt die down till about 3am. Crowd control had to close off some streets to allow traffic to flow again and a parade is planned for Friday which starts at the stadium. Way to go Yankees!
