Oh my Trina! I didn't think you were gonna say something like that!
GYPSIES AND MOONGLOW
something like what?
LOL that was funny!
Hey Trina, is it right that Wicca hold many Celtic traditions?
yes many do.
Morning all! How are y'all? I 'll never catch up. Never.
i have the little one's party today...I'm still exhausted from the week....blech my husband just made the worst coffee!
Good Morning Lynnie! Yes, it's long reading trying to catch up!
I have to make jello brains this AM....*grin*
jello brains?
Good morning Smiley,Good morning Lynnie. Jello-brains? Thats a new one on me. Well not really.........Grin We must be the only ones up and about so far.
Good Morning Dixie! I meant to ask - do you make your own Play Doh? If not, I have a recipe. Angela was the Play-Doh Queen in our house, and it's kind of fun to make.
My husband can make coffee that has duel purpose. You can also use it to remove paint. I try not to let him near the coffee maker. Ugh, and he thinks its good !
In this house DH DOES make the better pot of coffee. In my effort to make it not-too-weak I always make it too strong. So that's HIS job.
No dont make it. Buy it at Wally World along with my teeth.....Grin Would like to try the recipe. I have bought so much Play doh I should own stock in the co. If you have time some time today send me the recipe. I would like to try to make some. It can be a project for grand d. and I.
yes, it's very fun to make and you can customize your colors. I'll post here in case anyone with little ones around wants it too:
1-1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup salt
1-1/2 teaspoons (heaping) alum (in the spice section)
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil
Boil water, oil and food coloring of choice. Mix dry ingredients together. Remove liquid from heat, add dry ingredients and stir together. Let cool slightly. Knead until smooth.
Voila! Play-Doh! If you want a really rich color, make the liquid mix really dark, because it will pastel when you add the dry stuff (IE red becomes pink)
You can double or half the recipe also.
I'll pop back on in a while ladies. Promised husband a decent breakfast this a.m. Usually just throw him a Pop Tart and hope he catches it. Grin.
Thank you Smiley for the recipe. I'll be back in a little while.
Play-Doh is fun to make, and in this artsy-fartsy house, all creative play was encouraged. I saved some of the cuter things my kids made, though Ang was the Sculptress.
jello brains for the halloween costume birthday party today for the little one...my jello ain't gellin', though...sigh....
I have a recipe for edible play doh if anyone wants it...it's yummy.
oh his coffee is usually good, this is bitter but I bought a different brand it was on sale. mea culpa.....
I'm starting to think it's decaf, too, I have NO ENERGY!
decaf tastes flat to me. As Linus said (about the hot chocolate Lucy made him) "tastes like water with a brown crayon dipped in it"
I would love the recipe for edible play-doh. I bet Ang would get a kick out of it, even though she's 16. Some things just never leave you.
Anyone go on the cooking forum? This is cool:

posted by DG member Dea. Really neat idea.
morning everybody only here for a quick sec daughter has football game this am....I do NOT drink coffee....so why do I have to make the coffee every morning?
Good morning all...hope everyone has a bangup day. The sun is shining and no rain in the forecast for a couple days....oh la....been out getting my shoes muddy....grin. Needed more coffee then off to get gas for the mower....yes, we are harvesting the grass.....lol.
Good to see ya back Lynnie, know it has been a rough week with work, family and FIL....glad he is doing better.
Smiley, used to put the kids up to the table with sugar cookie dough with a bit of food color added and let them sculpt away...then bake the results in a lower temp oven.. when my oldest son was in High School, he told his art instructor that his mother taught them to eat their mistakes and he thought it was a pretty good life lesson....I was just trying to keep 3 little ones occupied without an ER trip....lol
Dixie, hope you had fun with the little one....she is such a cutie.

Finally caught up. Sort of.

Didn't know you could put a milk carton in the ridge wrong. But guess I did cuz next day was shown the correct way!!!
Have had youngest GS for last three days because the babysitter got sick. So we play musical kids, so everyone can get to work. Then some kids in GS school has the H1N1 flu so we are doing double duty cleaning and hand washing, hoping not to get it here.
Well just heard "Grandma come pick it up" not a good sign.
Better go see.
Never seen a kid get potty trained this way, son taught him this.

Geez, JJs....I will send go home thoughts to Shreveport....grin.
Actually, that is how mine potty-trained....right direction for aim, but felt more secure and less likely to fall in...offers a better "base of support"...more security....grin
morning Karen..Hey guess what its almost warm enough for me to go outside....in about another hour I can go get the rest of my bulbs in and make all these rose clippings into new roses! Yeah
Good morning, Flowers....tag, you are it....grin
Looks uncomfortable to me but he will not sit on it right.
Friend of ours has twin boys that are about 41/2 and he took them to a store at the mall that is all Halloween costumes and stuff. They have this mechanical monster that crawls on the floor.
The kid working thought it would be fun to scare the kids so turned it on and headed it toward them. One of them took off screaming the other one went over and started stomping on it. His dad turned around and there he was stomping the daylights out of this monster, was afraid he was going to have to pay for it, but instead the people were ROFLAO. He said he wished he had a camera and they told him to come back in couple days and he could have a copy of stores security video it would be on there. He is going to send it in to AFH videos.

I am a little disgusted by the BF and his 3 boys bathroom habits, none of them were taught to lift the seat, and none of them have good aim....he tried to say it was my son, but my son was basically raised in a house of women, after scrubbing his own bathroom messes on more than 1 occassion, including once when Grandpa saw it and grandpa made him clean it up (clean it, grandpa checked kenny got a spanking and cleaned what he missed the first time, grandpa checked, kenny got a worse butt busting, then had to clean what he missed the first 2 times he got 7 spankings that day, but he aint peed on a seat since) at first BF argued until this was explained to him and well after meeting my "dad" BF makes his boys clean bathroom every other day now so I don't explode on them!
Hey buddy moon, glad to hear sun is shinning your way today` I hope I get to see that one JJ. Kids can be so funny. When I don't see gk's for a while I just chuckle at some of the things I remember them doing like I found one of their shoes in the refrigerator one time lol
and hopefully the mailman will bring me more plant stuff hehehehe
well Matt has guard this weekend, devilchild is supposed to be grounded convienient since dads never here to deal with it, Amanda has a football game, which leaves Kenny cleaning that pigsty of a bedroom, and austin to help me dig holes...yep that's about it...I got all 5 in there I think...lol
LOL flowers!
Yea and don't ya love it when they leave the seat up and you go in in middle of night and fall in lol
Really Moon, I thought he was crazy. Would have never thought of doing it that way...grin... I have one of those little seats that sits on the big one so they won't fall in but he doesn't want to use it.
Please do send those Go Home thoughts out. One of her ladies is gonna drive me to drink.
Milk carton certain direction, do not wash dishes in the sink use the plastic bowl, and the biggest mistake in the world I used the wrong bowl for the soup.
Still got to Love her, she can be so sweet also.
Better say so long for now Dillan is learning how to snorkle in the dogs water bowl!!!
Dixie loved your teeth almost didn't recognize ya in the Help pic.
