Time for a new room!
Shes about too... #47
Thanks LK for new room. I always seem to miss something when the thread gets too long. ^_^
Thanks LK. Your cuttings are on the way.
Thanks, I will be watching the mail.
Faye she is a beutiful plant for sure.
ladies time for all of you to post what you still have blooming.
Faye that is a pretty yello one. Is that prickly pears I see in the background?
Want some more, it grows wild here!
Wow, beautiful blooms, and the colors are so pretty. Love the doubles ones! I bet they smell so nice in the evening?
OK Faye...we have to talk turkey. :)) I NEED a yellow brug. Have to have one. Just must. I need to come see you. I'd love some prickly pear too. My Mom gave me a little piece of one and it isn't doing too well here. I think I just need more of it to make up for the little bit I have. Autumn Treasure is awesome too.
You should see my garage. We just purchased an MTV (multi terrain vehicle). Picked it up today. It is electric and we need it here for many issues I won't go into right now. I had cleared some space at the end of one side of the garage where I keep my light carts with the coleus for the winter. Then I filled the space up with brugs that were still blooming when they came in. So today I'm trying to pull the MTV in amongst the brugs the coleus and the hibiscus plants that are out there. You would have to see it to believe it.
This picture sort of shows what I'm up against. :0)
Juanita, looks like we could have lots of fun in that new MTV!
Thanks for the new room LK! I was in another century waiting for the other to upload ;)
Faye, my Autumn Treasure just start blooming too. Somehow, your Serendipity is lighter than mine?
Ambrosia didn't do nothin' and looks like Daydream's a triple.
Congrats Faye!
Wow.. like your new toy Juanita!
Those brugs are so beautiful! You may not see your new vechile soon if you keep adding more flowers to the garage.
I forgot how muddy it can be after some rain. Now I like playing in dirt, but mud is something I can do without. Warm weather starting to dry up some of mess the rain made.
Debra, love that color! She is such a pretty color!
Pegi I was out there this morning doing plant duty. With a little imagination you can be in the Amazon on a trek. LOL!
Juanita
Juanita I love your blooms and your gardens
LK, thanks, I am amazed, first year for all these blooms for me you know.. I will be cutting them all back after this blooming is over sad to say..
put your orders in to me by dmail for what you all want, will be sending out seed packets as promised and can send cuttings requested as well..
here is chrissy finally open
Nita looks like fun times ahead! As for the yellow angel and the prickly pear, You are welcome to as many of both as you want. I will cut brugs back after blooming ends.
Where are you ladies? This is an awesome thread....why no activity? Time for Brug cutting next week. I will start Mon. and mail to the first to send postage. Going to find out how many cuttings I can get in the small flat rate box and let you know. Will post names of plants on Mon.
Faye
I will be watching this thread. Hard to believe some are cutting back brugs already.
JB, where you at? I bet your getting the farm ready for Christmas trees again?
After battling the "something" that is eating holes in my brug leaves I managed to have only one bloom on it. This is a double pink that hasn't come to its full bloom yet. Out there today and it is coming along fine, but only one. When I see plants with so many flowers I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever see that here. Imagine having such pretty flowers in November. I'd like to put it in the ground, but just can't decide where. Where I have it now it gets morning sun and afternoon shade, plus she is sitting under a shade screen.
Maybe she needs a bit more sun?
I will be cutting on Chrissy and monster white tuesday...
My Mom visited last week and she had cut back hers to bring in as well. She didn't know what to do with them, so she just brought me these pieces about 2 feet long. :0) A lot of them are pretty thin because they are at or above the "Y". Some are starting to root already. Will be cutting back Xena and Frosti Pink later today or tomorrow. The ones she brought are Isabella and Becca Lynn. Let me know by d mail if you want anything. It is going to get really cold here by the end of the week, but I think if these are wrapped up they should be OK to send.
Juanita
I'm cutting too! will see how many I can get in the flat rate box. All of these bloomed beautifully. I'm not sure about the spelling, but that is what they were labeled. Will post pictures of any you're interested in. Sending as I receive postage.

Yard Sale Yellow Pinkish yellow / orange ( Beautiful)
Pegi I had the same trouble with the DBL pink. Was slow to bloom and by the time the second skirt dropped, the first skirt didn't look pretty. She is in the ground in full sun. Have another pink, Day Dream that opened double and looked as if it may be a triple, but never completely dropped the third skirt.
If anyone has doubles or triples, I'm begging for cuttings.
This is my first year with the Brugs and in spite of all the work involved in their care, I love them. I have truly been rewarded with all the beauty of their trumpets.
I'm sharing with anyone for postage. wish I could afford postage for everyone, but I cannot. I'm expecting to send many boxes.
What is the postage for the flat rate boxes. There are several sizes? I think they are like $10.00 and $14.00 or so?
LK, I'm going to use the smallest box. $4.95 I think. will call PO and make sure.
Cuttings for this box are 6" to 8 " long. I think I can get 6 in box. Will try hard anyway.
