That Gold-Crowned Sparrow is lovely. I think what I actually have are a couple of male Painted Buntings with a few immature males. This looks like an immature one.

This Mockingbird had just coughed up a hard pellet. You can see the pellet dropping.

A little while ago I heard some thumping coming from the front porch. When I checked I found this male Northern Flicker trapped in the screened porch. He was very agitated, so I didn't take a lot of pics. I was able to get him free with out much trouble. I guess he got in through the cat door.
