Best/Worse/What did I learn today...visit with friends #123

Morning everyone. Todd was reading over my shoulder as I was reading on the other thread about Tubby, and we both got leaky eyes!
I Feel as if I personally know each one of you, and when something happens to you, it is like I feel your pain or happiness with you!
Tubby and Shirley, we are thinking of you always, and sending prayers to you both.

OK, last post then...
Sabrina had Mole day at school.
She was to create a Mole
asong or a poem to read or sing about a mole
she decided to todo create a mole.
Hers was a Molebot! Yippee, hers won the beauty pagent.

Here's the little song I immediately started singing, lol.

what a hoot.
not sot so cool
took his tole when he hit a pole.

ROFLOL, did a little skippy dance all the while singing.

I have tears.....prayers for our dear Tubby & Shirley. I so hate that disease. Hugs....

Still no furnace, been 3 weeks. Just got a "go ahead" from insurance company finally.....ordering and then install on Wednesday. Going to be another cold week ahead. Grrrrr.

Judy, that's absolutely adorable...omg you are in competition with Liz and Halloween decorations..lol

Debbie, omg how are you doing it? It's so cold out there..on the good side thank goodness the insurance will cover it...I pay a $20 month insurance policy that cover air, furnace - parts/labor..do you have something similar...how's the family?

Betty, it is 42 here outside. It is raining also.

We haven't been able to use the furnace at all this fall, first thought due to blockage in chimney...but once that was removed, saw lots of damage by water.

Remember the huge storm they had up here when we were with Sharron? Well, apparently they think that is the one that blew off our new chimney cap, which flooded the chimney and furnace with water. Causing major damage. We had two "specialists" out here to inspect....the last condeming it. Now waiting for paperwork to get in order and see exactly what they will pay towards a new furnace. God help us.

We have a tower heater in the living room, and also a little six inch square one down here by my feet. It keeps it between 68 & 70 when it is so cold out like this...but we can't run them at night. We do have electric blankets on the beds. We get up in the morning and it is about 57 in the house. Makes for very quick showers.

The kids. Where to start. Jeanna is having laproscopic surgery, they believe endometriosis with organ involvement. Has appt. with surgeon 26th to set everything....she has her 26th birthday on the 27th. Carrie has been diagnosed with poly cystic ovarian disease and is on treatment. Shannon is scheduled to have complete knee rebuilding surgery on Dec. 17....and will be home with us again instead of the dorms....for next semester. I am a mess over that.

And my baby boy, Shane....my dear little man...is going on his first date tonight! Double dating with Shannon & her BF Michael...to movies and dinner.

Was so mad at myself...so sweetie that she is sent me another.
And Guess What?? That cute little Scarecrow tipped over knocking it off the fire place and smashed my second one!!
I am so gosh darn mad about it, Man i am just doomed not to have that ornement!

OMG, Got a txt from Liz, Granny out of Surgery, it went well!

Glad the surgery went well. Deb you keep warm. We were without power and no furnace for 5 days last Jan. Thank God the wind wasn't blowing. I kept the gas oven on low on our stove and we made it ok. BEV

Oh Shirley and Tubby thoughts and prayers are going out to you both. This is so sad and frustrating for all of us. I had a feeling something was seriously wrong.

I am so sorry about not updating you all, had a migraine at work all day yesterday but didn't want to come home because the interstate was closed due to a fatality and traffic was backed up for 11 miles, which would have made my head hurt worse!

Mom called me late last night from the hospital, said she didn't know how numb she was at the time but she felt a lot better, but she can still feel that nerve so she'll probably end up in Baltimore getting it cut. She said she will have to see how she felt today. I haven't heard from her today, she was supposed to go home this evening if all went the way the dr hoped.

I called in sick today, felt like I had been ran over by a truck, got to feeling better around 2, started working on my crafts that have been sitting waiting patiently for me and stabbed my left finger on the left side where the knuckle next to the fingernail is really good with a pair of scissors, it's feeling a lot better now finally but dang that hurt! I guess there's no artery there... lol!

yes surgery went well they drained the blod clots off the brain but lol they said it would be only a few shaved areas OMG THEY SHAVED HER WHOLE HEAD! holy cow are we going to get yelled at when she figures this out.
but they want to get her walking tomorrow and rehab for two weeks then she can go home and give us h--- as usual lol so it was a good day after all.

judy for peets sake what am i going to do with you lol good thing i have two more ornaments lol i'll have to seal the next one in plexi glass lol

Very cute!! Love the poem with the mole. Glad the surgery went ok Liz. My goodness when it rains it pours.

Just got off the phone with my mom and she's down in the dumps but she's already doing better. She has a bunch of stitches so I'm sure most of you know how that is. She's done more today than she could in two days before the surgery so it's looking good, but says she still feels that nerve big time so she's going to have to get that cut again. Bum, that won't be covered by insurance.

Where to start..

omg Debbie, I can't even imagine how you cope with so much on your plate...you must be the strongest woman I know, but then when all is over, you break...lordy, please look after yourself...

Dangerous using those heaters, thank goodness you don't use them at night..luckily you have that handsome man to cuddle with..

First date, Debbie are you standing at the window, pacing up and down...it will be the first of many sleepless nights I'm sure..lol

Liz, thank goodness grannie went through the operation ok...I can just imagine from you description of her how livid she'll be when she sees she has no hair..maybe you should have a wig with you next time you visit..

Best of the day..

The day itself..quiet at work, worked on little thank you item for the girls doing the Christmas Workshop..went well..then off to Midland to pick up wood supplies to start the kits...picked up materials I need to sew the Vampire Chicken costume, something to eat and home I came...been cutting wood since..good start..think I have 3/4 cut except for the rough cutting of the edges...maybe Sunday if all is done I'll go buy supplies needed for decorating each and they will be ready to ship...

Worse of the day...Suzanne got a call her son had an accident..broke his arm badly, had to have surgery..a metal plate inserted..last time I spoke with her Brian had been in surgery for 3 1/2 hrs...

What did I learn today?

I sure can get a lot done when I put my mind to it...lol

Night/night, good Lord willing we'll gab tomorrow...

What was planks of wood but hours ago will be treasures in some of your homes....

I'd be so worried to start cutting nerves, don't think she's giving herself enough time to heal..

Oh I want a molebot that I can torture and capture everyday. Mine will be a Gopherbot. He will be caught in all traps, eat all poison and hate roses with a passion, in fact he will fear them.

Betty she had that nerve cut 20 years ago and it grew back about 1 1/2 years ago, she knows exactly what she's doing. I just go with the flo LOL

Dear Friends:
It is 2:43 in AM and can't sleep. They have a sitter with Tubby this evening so I could go get sleep. The youngest daughter and I sat in the car till 1:30. She went home and I sat there and decided not to pay for a room for a few hours, as I'm waiting for the oldest daughter & 2 Gdaughters to arrive from Wisconsin. They were about 70 miles out when I spoke to them last.
The latest is that Tubby has multiple strokes in the last two weeks and they plan on doing some biopsy's on the lesions in the head and possible one on the lungs. The Dr's can't emphasis just how sick he is and is a far cry from being out of the woods.
Okay he told and good one today. He asked me what we should name this rabbit, I said what rabbit, that one there(as he points in the air). I said a dead one, he said no, Bettypauz and giggled and giggled. He has been more alert today and able to talk and follow commands. The girls and I as well as the nursing staff have had more laughs today. He told me he wanted to go have a cig. as he acted like he had one in his fingers and took a puff. I told him he couldn't - asked why not so said he was in the hospital and so he asked the nurse, she said no. So he sang them a little diddy about " I smoking a cigarette & so & so." They were all busting up. They all keep coming and checking on him. He has received excellent care. The Dr.'s have all been so kind and wonderful. He did amaze them on how much better he looks today, but they say don't let that fool you. Still talks about planting. He does recognize people some times and not so good the next. He told the middle daughter today as she was leaning over him talking " with a face like that you could grow onions". LOL I just needed to chat and keep my hands and mind occupied. Will check in with you all again soon.

hit my sister several times told my mom and sis to shut up stop being bossy
kept yelling at them, and trying to get out of bed then looked at them and felt her head and said i have no hair?
but by that time mom told the nurse to give her something so she dozzed off. so i wonder if i will be the victim today got to love yiyia(granny) she's back lol
