Miss B havin
Elizabeth, I love your BIG house, and your front porch is wonderful!. Wish I had a porch!Your plants look so good..
hey, where did Charleen go...I hope she didn't take it wrong, when I said something about this being the brug forum.didn't mean a thing.Like I said I love our gabbin'. I hope she's just multi tasking..lol
I thought you wanted to start a new thread...thats why I ask just post apic, and start us one..lol But I love your big house and Miss b havin. Isn't that a cool name, for a brug?
Dee
That is a beautiful back door!!..Is the closed in porch the part on the right, or is it where your back door goes in?
Dee
Dee
the backdoor is the entry to the enclosed backporch, the windows are of the kitchen, that part was added on, to the original house, I have 18 windows in the house, but they're no good for lighting in the winter, I have to insulate the backporch & get good windows out there, this house is 85yrs old, this summer we added central air & a new furnace, so we are still working on it, I love the stainglass window in the living room, by the front porch
Elizabeth
Wow Elizabeth you sure got your money's worth with mum...it's beautiful! How big is your closedin back porch? Where is the stained glass window..is it in the pic?, and I'm just not seeing it
Hey, I'm gonna get off of here a while and carry the tropicals to the basement.I will be back on later this evening...Later
Dee
Dee
I will be back on at 6 pm myself, I will measure my backporch, I am also going to be taking the potted up Brugs down to the basement, Charlene, I hope you're back on this evening
Elizabeth
Ladies
I am back here, if you have time to talk
Elizabeth
I'm back, too
Dee
Dee
you will never guess what I found, while I was taking some Brugs to the basement, ok I will tell you, I found star dancer
did you know it's a single white, I do hope next spring it has some color, was you looking for that one or you allready have it?
Elizabeth
I'm here , had to go get DH from work. Been a heck of an afternoon at the drug store and I forgot to take a pic of the hous. Lord, NO!!! I'm not upset with anyone. I love ya.
Let me go take that pic. Supposed to rain tomarrow.
Dee
when we get to 300 post, I will start a new thread, I have sooo many pic's, I could keep us busy for the next 4 months
I just found Angels Flight, so next spring, that one should be Georgeous, as soon as I get it I will post a Pic
me & miss september just had a difference of opinion, she thought she was suppose to get under my feet while I was taking Brugs to the basement, I have a side door so I don't have to take them through the house, well I won
Elizabeth
Charlene
it's sooo good to have you back, I was hoping you would get back on, I like the 3 of us talking, I think if I don't watch it I might run outof room, I still have Brugs to dig, that New Orleans Lady got huge, & I just the other painted Lady, it got big also
Elizabeth
whoohoooo.yes, I am looking for a cutting of star dancer..thats the one of mine that rotted...I know it's a single white, but I like it, cause it's different, like it has seperated petals...Can you spare a cutting? Is it big enough?
I know things don't always sound like we are trying to say them, on the puter.I'm glad you were just busy..lol...bet you aren't glad you were so busy
We want so many brugs that we forget where they are, don't we Charleen...lol
Poor little September..she just wants to know what's down there thats so interesting...lol.. I know critters can be dangerous under your feet, especially on steps.
Dee
Dee
it's a green stalk, I'll see if it will airlayer for you, I had totally lost it, it was too shaded, so I dug it up about a month ago
put it behind some other Brugs, you never know what you're going to find here, I know I have a cross of star dancer & something else, have to find that tag, as soon as I can I will get you a clipping though, have you ever seen Fandango
goggle it, you will flip, it's double Georgeous
Elizabeth
have you girls seen a plant called Alternanthera multicolor. It is sooooo pretty...it's an annual that can be grown as a house plant? I think it might be hardy in Zone 10.It is a foliage plant that has yellow, white and pink leaves.I think it only gets 8-12 inches wide and tall.I bought a little start of one at my favorite nursery last summer, and I liked it so much, that I brought it in as a house plant...you should look it up.
Dee
Charlene
your place is lovely, I love the view, I did see the Brug, oh a butterfly bush, that would be great, I'll look forward to it
TIA
Elizabeth
Charleen,You do live in a jungle, and I love it....and, I love your brick walkway.
Elizabeth, Fandango is so pretty that it doesn't look real..looks like a flower that you would see on a birthday cake...makes me want to lick it...lol
Elizabeth don't worry about air layering Star dancer. There's always next year..You know we are gonna be gabbing more that ever next summer...lol
Dee
Just let me know if it doesn't root. i will start you one Elizabeth. They
do attract butterflies and I'll even see a hummer over there once in a while.
The pic was darker than I wanted. It is supposed to rain tomarrow, so I wouldn't have been able
to take a pic. It is really quite pretty out here,Thanks.
Dee, I'll look that flower up, I wrote the name down.
heck yes, that is almost as much fun as seeing the brugs bloom.
Oh my goodness. look at all those blooms!.who is the big momma on the right? Beautiful!
Dee
Too bad, we don't have Smell-a-pic.
Wouldn't that be great?
Her's a good pic, but it still doesn't do it justice.I love pretty foliage.

It is a Joseph's coat. What we always called them.
It is beautiful. Keep in full light to keep colors.
it was labeled calico plant when I bought it...I'll see if I can get a closeup of mine...I had never seen one before, but I love it...Dee
It is beautiful. You could plant it under your brugs next spring. Root half a dozen starts
and plant. Would look beautiful.
Dee
I think charlene is right, the big momma on the right, is the one I was telling Charlene about, that's versa color Orange
it has Blooms all along the stem, it's leaves are serrated
Elizabeth
It is a pretty plant too and so many blooms.
That is a beautiful brug!
I was thinking the same thing...as ground cover in a brug pot! Great minds think a like...lol

Dee
you have a pretty plant there,it would look georgeous as ground cover, just don't plant moneywort, around any Brug that you're going to dig up, they also call it creeping jenny, it's pretty ground cover but it's invasive, the moneywort, they call it that because the leaves are round like a penny
Elizabeth
Charleen, I think we need to take cots next summer...notice I didn't say sleeping bags....and have a sleepover next summer in Elizabeth's back yard.
Dee
girls, I believe I am going to bed early. Got up early
to get DH to work, tomarrow he is taking himself.
But I never did get to go back to sleep.
Sure feel sleepy now.
So Godnight to you both, til tomarrow.
Charleen
Yes, so we can really rest underneath themagnificent brugs.
Wouldn't that be blissful? I would love it.
Elizabeth, I have the golden moneywort. I love the color, but you are right...INVASIVE. I just pull it out and pitch it, when it goes where I don't want it..lol
Dee
