WE'LL BE YOUR GYPSIES...(sorry Stevie)

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Venice, I will take a picture when I go back out and post it for ya.

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Trina I have that little grapette. Found the tag in a drawer just don't know for sure where I planted it.

Moon I did make a list/map of where plants were so I could find them next year.
Did I make you proud??

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, a picture of what? And I guess I need the list with 10 passiflora alata seeds in it!!!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Well you are ahead of me cuz mine is full of boxes the halloween decorations came out of.
Why does decorating make such a mess? Or is it just me?

80 sounds good its only 69 in my house.
DH is gone the caulk gun and the plastic is coming out. Last time I used that removable caulk on the windows I forgot and in spring hollered at him cuz the windows wouldn't open. He was not impressed with my handi work..laughing to myself..

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Pam. I am totally impressed and proud of you. Wish I was closer, I love playing with caulk....grin

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

the alata I gave to you with a different name, I'll dig it out when I get back, gotta take the oldest to run some errands be back later!

Woodhull, IL(Zone 5a)

Well Thanks moon and Caulk is not my specialty..

Problem here is DH works outside and loves the cold. Always has insulated everything on and thinks it is hot inside. I don't like to wear that many clothes ( can't just open a zipper to pee) in the house and like the warm. 75 would be perfect.

Forcing myself to get busy.
Catch ya later
Those that can enjoy the weather the rest of ya try to stay warm.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, I really don't know what you are talking about!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Have a sweet day JJs....I am with you...why wear that many clothes inside?

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Here ya go Venice. This one was leaning really badly, so it will take a while to draw it up straight. This is the first step. Later I will shorten the ties to get it even straighter.

Tying at the top...after you tie the top, you may have to go back and re-tie the bottom one

Hope that helps. I have always used this method cuz it works for me,

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Unfortunately, my trunk isn't woody. It is green and more like a thick flimsy (sp) weed. Not only does it lean but it goes in and out and not just straight up. I guess I would have to put more supports on it. I don't understand what the bricks are for.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I'm back....it's the really long list I gave you list started in the thread with 20 Plumeria seeds 'Maui Beauty' Venice....but that's ok I will try to get everything written down so we can go over it...cause I really do appreciate it!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

To get it headed upwards, Take three or four smaller pots and set them inside the pot on the surface of the soil. They can have plants in them....better if they do. That will support the stake and help encourage the stem upright. The drainage from them will help water the tree.

I bow down before the Goddess themoonhowl! Thank you now I know how to straighten out this goofy palm thingamajig that does the same thing!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

Venice just tell me when you are ready to check my list

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I will show you the tree. This one is the bottom,

all -- I don't know how these got turned around!

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

You are welcome. Trina. It is much like planting a garden, just above ground in pots and the height of the pots offers support to the stake and stem.

For a large plant, the bricks just maintain the distance between trunk and stake and help keep the stake upright.

They are so skinny and soft. This tree could probably use a longer stake now. Also, this one has 2 growing up from the seed.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

If I am seeing these clearly, there are two trunks on the plant. If so, they should be supported separately. Tying them together is forcing them to try to push away from each other.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, I am going to finish up sorting these ageratum seeds and have some lunch. I will let you know when I am ready.

Thanks Moon. I am tire of thinking about those trees now. I will try your suggestions later.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

I also think that may be why the tree is so thin....they are in direct competition with each other. Normally when a seed puts up two sprouts, the weaker or smaller of the two is removed. This keeps the stronger of the two healthy and allows it to grow better.

Prairieville, LA(Zone 9a)

Later, folks.....have a good one.

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I hate to cut off the shorter one because it looks pretty good.

The other tree is only a little thicker but it is a year older. But they are about the same height now. Also, they are different varieties of avocados

The right one I cut 3 feet off the top.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

I don't think I could have cut it off....I'm so retarded sometimes!

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

hello out there?
can anybody hear me?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I am ready any time you are!

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

I sure wish I had not listened to the person who talked me into cutting off the top of that tree. It was 7' tall at the time and I was concerned about it getting too tall.

Canton,IL &Dent Coun, MO(Zone 5b)

we always are when they haveto come in the house!

ok first thing is

50 Plumeria seeds 'Luc's Special Mix'

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Trina, would it be best if I sent you an email of this Excel file? Then you could see which ones I am missing. Don't add to it. Just give me the list of the ones that are missing and then I will add them. Ok?

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Don't have it.
