Thanks everyone, my garden is best in the fall. Spring should be good next year too.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

First day of fall everyone
not much to celebrate unless you grow crops

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

sigh... other than halloween coming!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I think I'm in trouble with my JM Spring Delight. It has doubled in size and I wasnt paying attention when I bought it (the pretty red tip leaves is all I concentrated on) and realize it grows six feet tall and wide.I really should have bought a dwarf for the spot.

Denville, NJ(Zone 6b)

it happens

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

joann you can trim it to keep it smaller ir you have too. or move it in the spring to a bigger space.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I think I'll try trimming but am scarred to cut it incase I loose the shape. I would have to pay someone to move it even if I has a space for it.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

wait until the spring for trimming it - on the bright side it is a good sign that it has grown so much!!

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Thanks for the info Bill. I will wait.

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Trim it in late winter - preferably before the sap starts to run. Go slowly - keep looking at it and you will see which branches need to go to keep the shape intact. You're an artist! Trust your eyes.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

joann victor is correct.

btw i just heard from shelly and she's asked to say hello to you.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

Sorry Bill I couldnt wait.
