This thread replaces GARDEN CHATTER.....
And I want to rock your Gypsy soul and together we shall go, into the Mystic...(Van Morrison, Into The Mystic)
BORN BEFORE THE WIND...more Gypsy Stories
Don't know if I would parasail in that kind of weather, but this guy deserved to have his picture taken...especially since he was about 350 feet above the Ocean.
Welcome all....
Oh wow!
And when that fog horn blows I will be coming home
love that song
I just wrote a long post and it disapeared when I went back to look at something. I hate it when that happens!
Glad to be back!
Looks like everyone has been busy with campfires, pretty flowers, cute anoles, Trina's giving to others, chocolate and coconut cream with real vanilla, yum! Didn't know that vanilla had such a pretty flower. Moon that pink rose was just gorgeous. Trina, hope you are taking care of yourself! and get better real soon. Oh yes, a big hello to our new Seedtosser!
Flower question! Is there a problem if daylilies are planted too deep? The soil was too loose when I watered that created a deep pool of water! I had to dig a wide channel to drain off the water. So I need to add some soil to level off the top. Should I dig up the lilies and replant them so they aren't so deep?
Trina, I think you need some very pretty tall multi-color zinnia seeds to plant in your backyard. They get to be nearly 3' tall. They would look so nice there. I have some yellow marigolds if you would like to make a trade for your marigolds. Or I think some yellow celosia would look nice there also because they are different and have a nice texture.
Hope all of you are doing well, well as you can!
Lynnie dmail me your address, I got you some russian sage and some other stuff I pulled out of these "gifts"
celosia for some marigold seeds...deal just dmail me your address
Trina I have nothing to trade, unless you can tell me how to get seeds from my agastache....or coneflowers.... (they're not even very exciting, just magnus lol)
I have some baby agastache plants, would those ship well? They smell like licorice.
Van the Man. Good choice, Moon.
No one would have wanted to come to my house for dinner tonight. Leftover chili. Cincinnati style. I was pushing for ordering subs, but no deal.
I love cooking though. Let's see... I went from accounting in college to cooking in a private club... and back to accounting... Too bad the Club was on it's last leg - I really liked that better than chasing down fraudulent checks!!
marigolds remind me of skunk. blech! good thing I like the looks of them! Took a break from the football game. I won't hold my breath, but The Bills are ahead.
Lynnie don't worry about it...I remember you said you liked it so I saved some back to send to you, no big deal
who are they playing Julie?
Venice, when that happens and you lose the post, just use your back one page button in the top left of the screen. That will take you back to the page you were posting on and you can continue your post without retyping it.
Into the Mystic is in my personal top 10...
I ordered pizza he's fed and happy. As long has it don't have tomatoes or pickles he'll eat about anything.
Accounting to cooking. Thats quite a jump.
yeah I'd say!
Well, ya know, there is no accounting for some folks cooking.....grin
Hiya JJs.
Hmmm I think I hear the neighbor. Shes back from Florida until Sunday.
Sounds like she has been in seedtossser's millers.
DH can entertain her. I gotta finish homework. hehehe
Good one moon!!
Trina that's sweet, thank you!
do your grandkids live with you JJ?
You said preferably out side only plants, remember?
Sorta partime. The 9 yr old lives with his dad(my son) and he works nights. So during the week he stays with us so he doesn't get drug out of bed at 1 AM. On the weekends he goes home or to his mom's who lives in Farmington.
If he gets woke up to go home he don't go back to sleep and then is tired at school. So it works better this way.
Ugly moth, pretty flower moon.
and I am certain both your son and GS greatly appreciate you being there!
Well at least until I get into the cause I said so mode!! ha ha
Its all good, win win for everyone.
I remember Trina, that's still very nice...I can try to send out some of these baby agastache....(don't know if you like them)
pretty Moon, is that the sun there? Did it stop raining?
Ha, found ya's!!
Thank you Venice, so sweet.
OK just poppin in to say hi again.
