see the pods that are dry and open? I put a red line arond them. They are seed pods for the plant.
They have to be like this for the seeds to be ready to be harvested.
I usually take a container outside with me and pick them off, holding them upright, and then I put them in the container. When I get in the house at the table, I open them just a little bit more so all the seeds that migh be in there can come out.....

I picked up some more coffee grinds at Starbucks. The container was empty so I asked one of the girls. So she was gone a few minutes and brought back a white trash bag with at least 3 bags of grinds!!! Now that is a ton for my little compost and garden.

Can you put too much coffee grinds in the soil or compost? I guess that is the same as OD'ing on nitrogen.

I keep mine in cookie tins in the fridge but after I put them in presciption bottles or bags.
