Everytime I see your pics I am in awe of your yard. How many jm's do you have now?
Great shots, Celeste - love the last one!
JM's look great, Bill. Looking forward to fall colors on them.
thx jen - depends on how you count them - i have a bakers dozen of little ones that i really do not count right now. i think it is just under 40ish total - not really sure, some i have two of so maybe 35+ different varieties.
what is amazing to me about the bakers dozen is that only two appear to exactly alike which i noticed up close a week ago when i re-potted them into bigger containers (i keep them in the ground). the seeds came from three different trees and i lost track of which came from what. and they are all very interesting. can't wait for them to get a little bigger
Looks like you live in a park--LOL! Your JM's are beautiful--I think you've given me a new appreciation of them.
I'll do a photo series of mine when they start to turn. I have over 30 also.
would love to see those victor!
Victor's fall colors are stunning
Looking forward to them! ^_^
Thanks, Jo Ann! My plants are nice too. ^_^
your too much.
It would have been a riot to see you and wha in a live encounter.
You were missed at the RU
Thanks - I really wish I could have been there too.
Pixie my fav of the group is the phlox. Only the David is outstanding in my garden. Luvly jms wha. How is my fav the yabadabadoo? Looking foward to seeing your jms too Victor.
Pixie I was looking more closely at your 'wild asters' after reading today's article. They look different than the other New England asters (Aster novae-angliae). Much simpler flower form. Does any one else have ones like that too? I like them.
D-nut, think this looks like it?

I called Auntie, she said it's an Common Blue Wood Aster (Symphyotrichum cordifolium)she's 86 so I don't argue. lol

The flower sure looks more like the Aster x frikartii but the foliage will tell. Does it have the heartleaf shape like Auntie's choice? Both are very prettiful. My volunteer is definitely Aster novae-angliae by the foliage.
We hiked above Canandaigua Lake Thursday night, and you could see the end of the lake and between us and the lake the field was filled with goldenrod and asters, it was so beautiful.
My Purple Domes are nearly all blooming. When its a perfect purple pillow I'll pix
mine are getting there too joann!
dnut there are wild aster here the same color as celeste's too - very small flower
Celeste - beautiful shots! What color is that mum when it is fully open? It looks so pink in the shot. I like it.
Bill - what a great collection of JMs you have. Beautiful yard you have!
I NEED those for my tiny flower bed but they aren't wild flowers here :(
Dahlia - maybe they'd become wild there if you got some started! I would think they might grow there.
I'll start #43
Perhaps dear Pix might throw a few seeds in the mail? Hint hint dear Pix.
