Congratulations on your new Job Evie! Is there any photography involved? Your toad lilly and Celeste your poppy--both are to die for!
Congrats on the new job too Evie!
Thanks Karen and Victor.
Pixie, your poppy is beautiful and I like Evie's toadlily and the crab spider. the dahlias and the caryopteris are something I am considering for next year.
Rama
Yes - congrats on the job! I missed that.
Yippee! More dahlias ^_^
Evie - lovely flower pics...please do keep sharing them with us! And a very big "congratulations" on getting your new job! That's just great! Enjoy! But don't get too busy and forget to post some more pics!
great photos all... congrats on the job Evie... and good luck!!!
Thanks everyone! I don't always have interesting stuff to post, but when I do I'll continue to post them, no worries. (same goes for bird pix...usually have the same ol' birds and even I get bored with them!)
And glad you guys like the toad lily too. So cool looking, esp up close. So much going on for a little flower!
Oh, and I meant to say that you have some really pretty blooms happening there, Celeste! Love 'em all!
I'll have to get a pic when it opens, I've got an iris trying to rebloom! It should open in the next day or so.
Hi Lucy! I love the reblooming iris's. Not many of mine bloomed even once this summer! I'm not sure what their issue is!
What a pretty picture!
Nice dahlias, Cousin Nut, Bill and Jen!
Bill, I really love your rudbeckias that you grew from seed. Which ones are they? Are they hardy? I just love Angelina sedum. I have some myself. Your caryopteris are great.
Evie, I like your Lingonberry. That crab spider is neat. The brunnera is very nice. I have Jack Frost, and I just love it! I want some other varieties now. I just read an article about them here in DG. Now I want all of them! http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/2499/ So nice you got a job you like. I have a job I like. The best one of all the jobs I've ever had. Been at it 7 years now.
You have some great pics there, Celeste. I just love the Fourth Of July rose!
I have the reblooming Immortality iris, but it's never rebloomed for me.
Your rose looks pretty in that little vase, Marilyn.
Karen
OMG, there's reblooming iris???? Where can I get me some of this magical stuff???
'Immortality' is reblooming here too and it smells wonderful.

Do you do anything special to get the iris to rebloom? Extra fertilizer? Mulch?
i just realised that none of my rebloomers have bloomed again?
ok as for the rudbeckia's - as mentioned above double gold and gloriosa were ordered from seeds of change - i think the striped one is prarie glow from select seeds although i am not positive and the seed package is gone. checked both sites and my buying lists from the spring and only find these three types listed although there are 4 different flowers out there -
Nope, nothing!
sweet
Rebloomers are more reliable further south than VT. Immortality is the most reliable & even then not every yr. It can be tough to establish so give it time. IB, I Bless, also white was reliable for us. Try Winterberry gardens for that one next spring. white, flower a bit large in the spring but smaller in the fall. SDB Forever Blue reblooms in Manitoba, funny won't do it here near the coast, but does in zone 5 in western MA. Jumper 2 has IB Champagne Encore reblooming in zone 5, but she is on the same latitude as Hartford CT so is further south in spite of her zone.
Corn Harvest & Pink Attraction have rebloomed here. Remember OR is not Northern New england.
SDB Forever Blue has yet to rebloom here either!
OK, I own:
Blue Suede Shoes, Clarence and Concertina
None have ever rebloomed but Immortality.

I thought rebloomer meant turn your undies inside out.
I think I would swoon if an iris ever rebloomed for me. I did have one DL that rebloomed this year though ^_^ Phoebes you always have luvly rebloomers ^_^ Methusala says Hi. She is still blooming too. Victor, Victor, Victor.... plffbt.
I just wanted to pass along how AWESOME Gardener's Supply is. They are local to me (lucky, I know) and I applied for a job there back in August. Didn't hear from them but job was still listed so I figured they weren't interested (I wasn't totally qualified so that was ok).
What's so awesome? I just got a professional letter from them informing me that they filled the position!! At least in my short experience looking for a job here, that is rare. I think I did get an email from one other place, via email. I'm totally fine getting the notice via email, esp since all job applications are done online now. But an actual letter???
Color me impressed!! THANK YOU Gardener's for being job-hunter friendly!!! I noticed.
