it is not carmen celeste - the foliage on this one in light green and very bright pink blooms - it is named after the bloom color - i will look it up

Congrats RD on the fair. Electric dahlia whanut! What is the stripey rudbeckia in post 7062302 wha? It's very prettiful and I must grow it. I only have one non-floppy rudbeckia. The rest have floppage. I grow them in one of those hoopy plant supports that you can pull up from the ground as the plant comes up. This year I put glads in with one too. I will take a pic when the glads open. http://www.burpee.com/product/gardening+supplies/garden+growing/grow-through+hoop+plant+supports+-+3+pack.do

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

oops sorry wha I gave you the wrong post number. The other stripey one in 7062288 please. I didn't know there were striped ones.

I'm jealous of Pixie's butterfly - rarely seem them at my place (though sometimes I see them flying by - hey, what's wrong with my place? there's some lovely flowers down here!).

I bought a toad lily this August and now it is blooming. I didn't appreciate how small the flowers were, but they are just so cool looking.

I finally got a brunnera also. I love the leaves!!

Another cool plant I got for the shade bed I started in May is a low cranberry bush (ok, Lingonberry). Hopefully the critters will like the berries.

I love the crab spider on this flower (lobelia, monet moment I think)

Somehow this sunflower stalk has at least 5 sunflower heads. No wonder it is now laying on the ground!

The other interesting thing is that there are several kinds of sunflowers that popped up in that clump of seeds that were buried and never recovered. This is a little one that you can barely see because it is covered by all the neighboring plants. It is a little guy.

Here's another sunflower, this one with thinner, more sparse petals.

OK, I've bothered you enough with my pictures. Thanks for at least scrolling by them :)

I'm in a good mood because I finally got a job and I start a next Monday. And it is actually a job I want and like...I'm so lucky, and grateful!!

I hope everyone is well!!!

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Nice, Evie! I like brunnera and must get some. I have to check my toad lilies!

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

Nice Evie, I love my brunnera too. Wait until it blooms!!!!!!!!

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

That's a beautious toad lily Evie. They bloom too late here :( I just got Looking Glass brunnera this year. I hope it keeps it's colour in full shade. Is yours in full shade Evie?

central, NJ(Zone 6b)

Evie, you can never "bother" us with too many photos
