Love your obelisk, it's not precariously narrow like the store bought.

TY Jaye.. Max is still trying to figure out what else we can do with it and Im guessing on color scheme.. I may have to make a OSU one just for my bed out front.. Havent decided yet.. Its really sturdy though -- Max test climbed it.. lol

Its lamost 4 feet high but is 25 1/4 inches on each rung along the bottom.. Nice and full so it wont blow over as easily..

So far $6.31 in materials since we had some old screws laying around.

You need to market that Donna! Bet you'll get sales, by just telling folks that it can bear Max's weight!

Trisha, I am glad you are returning to a therapeutic activity. That's how I feel when I'm quilting. You do beautiful work, whether it's with clay or paints. Would love to see your church's floral arrangements.

Pegi, I'm the same way. When something new catches my interests.. off to the store.. Unfortunately, I need hands on instructions.

How's your sinus Bonnie? I've been taking apple cider vinegar regularly now, and it is helping too.

Susan, what did you cook tonight?
It was Chinese food for us! I had some steamed mussels, octopus and crawfish... and had the 'grill' man, grilled beansprouts, abalone mushrooms and snow peas. Kel of course always hit for the fried stuffs and any carbos on the bar!!

Can't believe you still didn't get your box. Must be customs. Nothing illegal in there :D

Oh well.. eyes are tired.. we were late waking up this morning. Don't want to run late again tomorrow.

Hiya Jaye - had pork loin steaks, perogies with sour cream, and mixed veg for dinner.

I don't know why the box didn't arrive, but I'm really not surprised. Look how long it took for Cindy's pkg to get to me! Cross-border takes awhile.

when you see this in the morning, Jaye, I'm doing ok on the sinuses. still post nausal drip - yuck. I'm still coughing. can't figure out why. when the doc saw me, he cracked "you have to stop that two pack a day habit." that's what I sound like! and it still comes on like that. [I'm allergic to tobacco smoke folks] picking up on energy. that Neti Pot has made my nose as comfortable as it's been in years!

been craving soup. last night Randall went out for Chinese and brought back egg drop soup. (hot spicy is my fav, but he's bad about not buying anything with mushrooms). tonight we had leftover 1/2 subs from lunch, so he fixed tomato bisque to go with them.

my DS's godmother's great uncle was a fabulous water color artist. some of his are in museums in Hungary. Her dad, a diplomat, was tortured and killed when Soviets took over in 1959. She and her mom escaped to America. somewhere around 1980, her stepdad smuggled bunches out taped to his chest and back when they opened the borders for visits. They would have been destroyed. most are of village scenes in Hungary. I fell in love with watercolors just looking around her home.

well, if I start reading my novel, I'll go back to sleep.

Up and at 'em. Waiting for a mulch delivery and then it is nose to the wheelbarrow for me today. I'd offer breakfast, but I made my usual steel cut oatmeal and added a bit of quinoa this morning. Won't do that again. No matter how hard I try to like that stuff I just can't.

Morning Ladies,

I hadn't been in a very good mood lately, until this morning. I'm chatting with 5 different men now, lol. But only know what 2 of them look like. Doug has been non-reponsive the last few days, but this morning I was talking to Larry the car sales man. Seems he has a change of heart and wants to talk more and maybe meet. He is very good looking, runs 3 miles a day, likes to go fishing and take drive to Tahoe, loves nature, doesn't smoke. He had to go to work so we will be talking later. Here's his pix. Looks like he has a lazy eye. He used to live in San Diego and surfs,lol. Crud I couldn't even stay on a board, lol.

More firs burning, now in Vacaville where my brother is. Mom and I took a drive by the fire scene here. Oh so heart breaking. I took some pictures. It is so weird how the path of the fire hit.

Morning! decided I'd force the issue of getting up in the morning, and set my phone alarm to help. it didn't go off, but I did! LOL
breakfast here was also simple and lo cal - scrambled eggs in the microwave, toast, skim milk. am going to try eating more "meals" a day, not such big ones. maybe will help the tummy.

am so bummed. got a cousin in Vacaville, Cindy, and no way to call her. darn. also, SIL called yesterday. AGAIN my BIL has cancelled our family plans to get together for the holiday, after I visited their home Tuesday for the express purpose of setting it up with Lisa. Boy is Kurt going to catch h-e-double toothpicks from my ILs - Mom and Dad are fussing why we don't ever get together. most of them are in South Dakota, but both brothers live within 20 miles of each other here and we NEVER get together. They really LIKE each other! we like each other. but he is always cancelling our plans.... maybe he thinks we aren't God centered enough? or maybe he's peeved because we laid him off 8 years ago? he walked away free and clear of the debt problems, but maybe he's still sore? a lot of times he's used the excuse it's an hour drive up here through traffic... figured if we brought food to his house he couldn't complain! oh well... thanks for letting me vent.

today it's off to the iris patch for me!.....this should last about 20 mins, am so out of shape..... :o)

Grabbing a kiebalsa sandwich and no coffee.. not yet!
Anyway, I like what I see Cindy. Yah, agreeing with Susan, he has a nice smile. Men!!! They're the hunters right? They rather be the one chasing.. when the chase cooled off.. they'll regroup and start again.

well you see what happened I had posted an old picture of myself that was done at one of those Glamour Shot thingies and he was not happy, so then I posted that pix of me in the red dress and he liked what he saw. he noticed that I was on singlesnet.com and sent me an email asking how I was. I was shocked and emailed him back asking if he was sure that he wanted to talk. He said yes so we chatted, he asked some questions I was honest and he was happy. He asked about my height and weight, I told him I was 5'3" and a little over weight, but that I was going to Curves. He was impressed that I'm taking care of myself and that he likes short women He is 5'11" and 195 lbs and very fit ^_^. Can't wait to get my hands on that body, LOL!!!!!

First of all, Trisha thank you for the watercolor site. I'm going to be busy learning something constructive yet. ^_^ Can't wait to get back to the videos.

Well, guess you can't sit around waiting on Doug, Cindy, and Larry looks like a nice guy. Forget the lazy eye girls, I was born with one and let that interfer with my meeting a lot of nice people and getting involved in doing a lot of things. It stills bothers me today, but not as much when I was younger. That's my story for today, hope you get to meet Larry.

Crissy you've got me confuzzled??? Doug works from 3pm -11 M-F. His son just left for honeymoon to Ireland, his mom is passed, so I don't think he's in Vacaville he's sleeping right now.
Now the guy in the pix is Larry not Doug and you've got very good eyes that could be his mom. I'll have to ask him later. He's at work right now.

Jaye, you should have read what he said to me this morning, lol. Likes women with nice behinds, LOL. He said that when I told him most of my weight was in my behind, LOL.

Ladies, we've had a serial rapist around for a few months. He wore a Ninja mask. They think they've caught him. I hope so! I heard he raped someone here, and at a town not to far away, and at Memphis.
We're having very nice weather here! 75* here this morning, and hazy. I think the extremely hot stuff is gone! Yippee!

Cindy, he works swing just like Dave! Sucky shift, but better than Graveyard. He could have cousins or best friends or whoever in Vacaville. Just a thought Confuzzled LOL!! I want a honeymoon in Ireland!

Heck no! Shoot, when I was at that age to get crushes but too young to do anything about it I liked 3 guys at the same time, and they all had the same name! One was a body builder and ended up dating a girl with the locker next to mine in high school, body builder body was all gone and he was big time scroney, I think he went from body building to tweeker building, very obvious some steroid use there. LOL

Well, Larry redid his profile and left that part out. I told him I was not looking for a man to move in with and saddle him with my debts and problems, just someone to be friends with and to do things and go places with. We will be chatting more before we meet so we'll see what he has to say.

I was thinking his mom too Cindy.

Juanita I am with you, I can eat just about anything but I never could get used to Quinoa….just something weird about it….love steel cut oats.

LK, I never have been a Flower Arranger…and am never happy with my arrangement…..mine are more “Bouquets in Oasis”. In one of my horticulture classes we had a florist come in one night and we had total of approximately one hour of instruction for a large college class. I can do nice Bouquet type arrangements…would love to be able to do nice formal type arrangements someday….maybe I will find the right book one of these days.

Bon I know what that is like….we live a little over a mile from one of Bill’s sisters…if we are lucky we see them at Christmas………..we did see a bit more of her this year when her DH fell into the Orchestra Pit and spent 14 days in ICU.

Pegi I liked that site. I have found several others I like real well too. Have Sage today….if I get time my try painting a couple of little ducks.

Sunshine here right now…today is supposed to be pretty nice….have heavy rain front coming in tonight, or early tomorrow and the weekend is supposed to be mostly rain.
