The Roundup Party is over Part 2
This is my last pic on my camera chip, then I will show Lynn's chip as I can not read what was in her head of what she took. But I will do my best. LOL
As we where leaving Gwen (are taxie driver) stops the car, in the middle of the road to look at these little guys. And how we could snag a couple to take home, as I wanted one and so did she. LOL But the girls in the back said noway are they going to fit.
For some reason, I can not down load anymore pic's on DG. Is there a limit ????
Now before I lauch in to the adventures of Sunday.
I want to share something. As you all know I got the gift from Laurie at the gift exchange, I was so busy with taking pic's I never took the time to really look at it till now. Beside the book there was a card and a tool.
This is the front of the card. I hope this comes out and you can read it.
This was the tool from her own garden, I can see that she has use it. To know her hands have held it and used it, means more to me than I can find the words to explain how wonderful it makes me feel to own it. Now all she has to do is tell me how to use it, I have never seen anything like it before. LOL
The tool
That's very cool, Tills. :)
I wanna know what that tool is... it looks fascinating. hehehe.
It is a treasure for sure. Pony
Now we are off to Sunday Morning. Pony so sorry you where not able to come, so I hope these will help give you some joy as to all that have been posted already. Hope all is well with Hubby.
Lynn and I took of in my Jeep, as Gwen was leaving from Sharon's and Julie's to head home. So no taxi LOL Joey stayed home with Pony and hubby in case he was needed after the fright the night before. Steve left before us as I had to unload the jeep for the goodies at Julies. LOL
this is my last for the night, call from mom, not good
That is a glorious plant with the trailing orange flowers! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful pictures. You really did document the entire event from beginning to end.
Mary, I'm thinking of you and your mom as you help her with a difficult time of life. It breaks your heart to see someone you love suffer.
Thanks Holly, I am in tears right now. They took my Step Dad to the hospital last night. He will be staying there, Its a nursing home. And my mother does not remember us talking 3 days ago. I knew this was coming, I thought I was ready for it, but I am not. She will be all alone. Was a hard conversation with her, I want her to move up here, but she won't. I can not go down there till Oct. no money, my brother is going down in 3 weeks.
Tills! Those are fabulous photos of Mt. Tahoma! This thread will be an excellent reference for those of us who now simply MUST make some crevice gardens! Are those the ones where he used only sand as the 'soil'? I am in love with the small crevice gardens. They are so small and they look like little jewels. Tills, have you considered posting a link to this thread in the alpine garden forum? There are plenty of folks on that forum who would simply die for a look at Mt. Tahoma nursery in person. He is famous in alpine gardening circles.
Fast forward to May so I can see this place in bloom.
How cool that you chose Laurie's gift. It's like her to send something so entirely useful and interesting, as well as historical and sentimental. Who knew we were just continuing where history left off?? I will have to look for that book. It looks interesting. The obsession continues.
Sharon has the most beautiful begonias. She told me how to overwinter them, but I doubt they'll do as well for me. I generally lose them to rot.
That Mt. Tahoma tour was amazing. Now I want to re-do all my raised beds with stone and sedems. WOW
Tils hang in there with your mom. Thinking of you and wishing for you to be peaceful. Love
