Got the white Orchid Tree seeds today mekos! Thanks! Now to find a pot for that one. I need to take a pic of the purple's cute little sprout. It has 2 sets of true leave already and I only planted it on the 22nd of August . . .

Glad they made it, Loca. I planted mine the day before I mailed you your seeds and mine are really growing. We should have had a sprout off on those(hahaha, we'd be a sure thing.)LOL.
ANY more Brug. sprouts today?????

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

NO DANG BRUG SPROUTS!

I have another one that looks like it has a touch of mold:~(

I'm a gonna rinse it in peroxide water and dry it and replant in a pot and cross my fingers . . .

Pretty. Love those especially the dark purple one. I have some of the first one blooming ,also. Those are so nice.

Phoenix, AZ(Zone 9a)

Very pretty scicciarella!

cue - they have a nice catalog!!

One of my Epiphyllums has a bloom on it. The weird thing is, it's only a cutting I rooted a few weeks ago. I started them August 7th. At this rate it should bloom in a couple weeks. It's a night bloomer so will have to stay up at night to see it. Hopefully, I can get a picture of it in bloom.

it is normal for cutting to bloom quick but I would pinch it off so it can establish better roots

Sccicciarella Your lisianthus (sp) are so pretty. They just keep on blooming don't they. I love the pink. Is that part of the champagne series?

Hey you guys, BRUG. meeting tonight at dark-thirty.

Do Lisianthus make seeds or tubers or what? Do you make cuttings with them?I've never seen any of them before.

Seeds are tiny tiny. I'm trying to save some from mine. I've bought some for next spring. Here's the one I grew.

OH my gosh, that looks like the texas bluebells I was looking for. I didn't know that was what it is. I only heard it called prairy genitians or something like that.(that is misspelled but that is one I'm looking for) Do you have another one like the speckeled one you would trade for something?

I'll send you a cutting.

SERAY??? You been holding out on me? OH man. That is beautiful. I didn't know you had those. Are they hardy or do they need to go inside?

Florence, KY(Zone 6a)

Seray, That is a beautiful flower!

They're annuals. I've saved seed pods but not sure if they have seeds. I bought the plants from Burpee early March. They're still blooming.

Thanks Lollyjean

I love it. I hear they are hard to propagate by seed so I'm probably buy some next year just in case. They have the pink cultivar that Scicciarella has with a matching champagne and ivory. Wouldn't that be pretty?

Litchfield, ME(Zone 5a)

So pretty Seray

Where did you find them Seray, a local plant nursery or catalog.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

in zone seven b if you mulch it and plant it on the south east side it is a perennial
for me I have to bring them in or start new from seed in january but I will keep these and grow the colors I am missing

I would love to get a few seeds of that multi color mine didnt grow only the singe and double solids made it

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

My seeds came from ebay but most seed places have them

I couldn't find the seeds for the Balboa Blue Rim. Burpee had the plants. Thanks for the info Scicciraella. We'll see if we can carry it over. I'll send you a few of my seed pods and you can see if you can cultivate them. dmail me your address. If you can you have to come back and tell us how to do it. LOL

We looked at cultivating them commercially long ago. Way too much trouble. I have the seeds for the pink, champagne and ivory. Got them from Johnny's. Called the cinderella hybrids. :) Waiting for winter to sow.

Do you think they would root, Seray ,for real?

I think I have some with roots Mekos. That's what I'll send you. Cuttings wouldn't make it in this heat I don't think. Most are gone. I have them in an earthbox and didn't plan to keep them.

OH SERAY, That is so sweet of you. I'll repay you some how. One day I'll have something you want and it is yours. I do believe the tiny little piece that broke off my lotus parrot's beak has rooted, it never dropped any leaf thingys and is still green, so I broke a couple more off and started them, as soon as those root, they will move to your house. You can keep them in a hanging basket for the winter and when it cools down it is suppose to bloom. The notes say when it gets 65 at night it should start blooming.

Sundance, WY(Zone 3b)

Wow! Those are really pretty! But of course, can't grow them here. So many pretty things that don't like our weather! Go figure. But they are gorgeous!

I only put mine out for the summer (at my pond) and will keep it in the house for the winter. They will hang in a pot at my patio glass doors so they get enough light and can stay warm.
I have 3 colors of them and wish I could find the white one. (have red, gold and orange colors)

Mekos you are too kind! I already have a sweet little Datura you sent me. It's doing well. You've already "repaid" me. Send us a picture of the parrot's beak basket. I have seeds I haven't planted yet. Here's my to do list this week:

Finish 2nd lasagna bed 20 hostas waiting.
Plant 9 pot bound Oakleaf hydrangeas patiently waiting for attention
Prune and try to take cuttings (sigh) from 3 Summer Chocolate mimosas
Dig up and relocate 10 Romulus daylilies

Shall I go on LOL

I sent you three packets of the white ones. I ordered them from France. I kept one myself. Clianthus puniceus var. Alba White parrots beak. If you can't find them I'll send you mine. Here's your pics. I took me forever to find it. Kinda rare. LOL

We need more latin lesson Arejay!!

Will take pictures when they bloom. The temperature is already dropping to the upper 60's at night out side, so they should start setting buds soon.

Here's a link closer to home for the White parrots beak. Same latin name as above. :)

NO SERAY, that is different. These are LOTUS PARROT'S BEAK, that one is Kaka beak. I sowed the seeds of that one but nothing yet.

Check the second link. If that's not it then send me a pic or the latin name and we'll seek her out. LOL
