Becky.. thanks, I am pretty sure these came from Joseph, have to look and see. I save all my seed packets..
here is a few shots of the Pure White that am sure is from Joseph, and I am sure these are from the winter grow out I planted and moved the planter outside this spring..

Here it is at noon.. it is a weird bloom kinda half unfurled, but It may be from the wind knocking it into the honeysuckle stems..

This is the second year I have grown impatiens, and these are in spots about the yard that is mostly shaded during the day.. they light up my green

these zinnias are very tall , in planters on the south end of the patio, mixed in with tall cosmos, amarranthus and morning glorys and the effect is dazzling when I sit out there..

here is what is behind me when I sit at my table , and this is the inside of the northend corner of the patio garden..ahhhh.. Kansas..

I had to cut these mgs off the line there.. this is still north of the patio, looking east..the shibouris are on that pole by the lines.. I added some slinkys to the poles and lions mane yarn, to train the vines around them as they give off leaders..I got 8 plastic slinkys to a package for 1.59.. I used my grabbit stick to get them up there.. I knew that would come in handy.. it was my daughters when she was recouperating from her automobile accident.. I use it to grab the vines all over the place that are out of reach to me..as well as the cosmos and chinese bean hiyacynth around the yard.. ( to pluck seeds pods and dead heads for trades)

here is rebecca and company north fence one section..I am wondering what will result of the seeds from the open pollinaton of the two other purps there.. I have been plucking the pinks as soon as I take a picture.. I have too many of those around here

This is on the north fence, in the "pouch planter" I looked and these seeds are from Joseph.. the ones on the pole on the north side of the patio are from Karen ( blue spiral)

Here is karens.. on the north patio pole..this shot was hard to get.. I had to climb up on the patio chair, which is why I added the slinkys to train them downwards where I can see them from standing postion..

I have had to snatch bits and pieces of daylight when I can sneak home to get these shots, before and after work.. I live for sundays, but most of the time, there are just buds on that day.. go figure.. day of rest.. these two little guys came from someone who heard my plea for native morning glorys.. her name is helen.. thanks helen, I love them.. just wish they would climb out of that squirrell netting.. these are about an inch and a half in diameter with a cute little shaped leaf..

Joeswife I grow impatiens too, they are so easy to cross. Have you heard of the new trailing varieties?
25 years ago I was the custodian of the worlds first double and gave cuttings to as many people as I could.
I still wonder if I played a part in some of the modern varieties.

Jon

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

at the base of the rose trellis I planted some seeds.. you can see the results.. look at all those types of mgs ..alamo vine is one of them..

Jon

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Jon, I have always feared growing them, but after gong to buffalo,ny the past five years and seeing my hubbys sisters yard totally done in ribbons of them, I decided to give a basket of them a whirl last year.. they work in the shade here.. but fail in the full sun.. I love them for ground cover when the violets aren't blooming.. I am all about colour and art in gardening.. I bet you are too.. I bet we all are, actually.. I also bet you did have something to do with those new varities..
This is a Zinnia I am in love with this year.. it is so flourescent at dusk.. it is called Tropical Sunrise.. they get long in the floweret and multi coloured as they age.. here is a new bloom..

Thumbnail by joeswife
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Well, Jon, I have a zillion seeds from them, can send you some no problem.. here is that zinnia in the long form.. after it ages..

in keeping with the tropical colours I have on the north end of the backyard house corner garden, I have a canna indian shot.. this one was from a little round seed I planted there..

Thumbnail by joeswife
(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I also added a lobata and a mg pot to that north end of the house garden.. you can see my Golden Eagle Rose has re-awakened.. I thought I had lost it.. I am trying to finish up my august thread so I can start my september thread with the new growouts of the seeds I planted a few weeks ago,, they are going crazy now and expect to see some blooms by the time I get home from Buffalo..

Next to the canna and the lobata on that northend is my "weed Patch" there are salmon 4 o clocks, moon flower, perilla beefsteak, beggars tick.. marigolds and some others .. this is a fantastic site to see at dusk.. the moon flowers and four oclocks are very tall.. the others are under neath those
