I don't know much about Crotons.....and today, I know even less. There is a small leaf like bloom coming out of the back of a leaf, on a thin stem...notice it on the left.?

Here's the kicker...all of the leaves are starting to send them out. how interesting...it's going to look like show girl if that happens!

Thumbnail by rjuddharrison

They are little leaves and there are some varieties that do this. Looks funky!!

this will be interesting...it will look like a Bird from Borneo if it gets covered with them. I foliar fed them twice this month..I'm going to have to make a note of it- I've never seem them look so nice.

I used to have a croton that did that; it is really cool. Funny that it is just starting it now, mine was bought with that characteristic.

some blue ginger..

My goodness we've had 40 percent and 50 percent chance of rain all week...and none..and I keep putting off watering...It's toasty out

Tropicbreeze, the Tamarind blooms are very delicate beautiful flowers for such a sour fruit. I have never seen them bloom before, thanks.

I would like to be first on the list for seeds from Rj's tree.

Keep those pictures coming. I do feel that taking and sharing pictures is a extension of the gardening pleasure.
Because of your example, I have saved a lot of seeds this summer.

we drove into the drive way last weekend to find these. about 40 orchids. the gardener that does all the neighbors yards stopped by later to say one of his clients gave them to him and he couldn't take care of them because he has no shade. he figured i liked plants and dropped them off in my driveway.
