Dany - Very nice show of blooms! I love the Air force1 with Indica Edith Piaf photo! Too cute!

Did you get seeds for Edith Piaf?

Also, I love your dark First Frost bloom! Very, very nice! I Your tie-dye are really eye-catching, too! Glad to see you still have vines blooming!

Is your weather cooling down yet?

szarvas, Hungary

Becky you are right, the nights are cooler, so the flowers are smaller and their color are unstable.
First frost is expected around November 1.

I try to cross Ipomoea indica Blue with I.I. Edith Piaf with no results yet.

It's time to harvest seeds, that requires considerable concentration.

Becky ,did you get gourd or seeds from this flower ?

The new robot pollinator has come!

I bought a dozen and have 60% more seeds .
You can program from your computer (WiFi) - Operating mode of flower color. Monday blue flowers, purple on Tuesday etc.....Saturday we made crosses.
Robot can run for 40 miles on a battery charge.

The model 2009 is equipped with a chip that facilitates the search ( by GPS ) for lost individuals .
The only drawback is humming birds feeders of the neighbor and aggressivity of males. But this is an issue of color prototypes.I believe that if given the color of female hummingbirds would be a solution unless this would cause other problems.

In fact all the arguments for promoting electric cars are applicable to robots pollinator.

A blue flower can be a bit too small.A cross with Blue Bird could increase the size.

I like the color of this one - purple NOID from Becky. But fertility is poor even with the use of robot pollinisator. There is a commercial cultivar that resembles : Heian no Umi has colored throat.

Dany - The gourd vine did not produce any gourds/seeds. :-( Not sure why as I had pollinated those blooms. Batting zero on gourds, I guess ...

Your blooms are gorgeous!!! Love the Summer Surprise and I just love the Scarlett O'Hara, too!

The purple NOID could be Heian no Umi. Who knows?!

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

yes the prices are good I paid 12 dollars plus shipping for 5 different JMG which makes me very happy they are all in shades of blue cant wait to grow them

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Mona - Are you talking about the Ebay seller? I didn't see a mixed seed offer. Price sounds good though. Good luck with those. I hope to see Spring photos of them! :-)

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

actually it was five different shade of blue but all seperate at a 1.99 each so I got some of each one and its 25 seeds in each so not bad couple of dollars to ship
I always check out ebay

I found another seller he is in china and has a couple of nice ones but I dont know if I trust that I will get my order but he says they are all in original foil packs from japan I wonder

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Dany - This one is very nice!!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7147973 Love that deep purple color! Your Kohkan is beautiful!!!

Is the "Little blue flower" an I. nil?

szarvas, Hungary

Becky this little blue is a Nil.

This is a cultivar that I had last year and has been reported missing. It will be a miracle that I have some seeds somewhere.
This will be my quest for years in the futur .

PS : I saw Jackie has a Fuji No Sora Cross which is almost her twin, I hope to make an exchange.

Dany, I will be glad to share sds of this cross with you and Becky.
Just pick me out something pretty, please. lol
Plus I will be sending you some Hattie Bell seeds.

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

dany question for you if I cut my JMG can I root the section like most other vines

szarvas, Hungary

The answer to your question is NO Mona.
BUT
Last year I posed the same kind of question but with Ricinus communis - Castor Bean, the answer was yes, but why not! Perplexed I tried without success. I am like St. Thomas, I want to see to believe.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

I like Jackie's cross very much. It could possibly be Japanese Morning Glory Ipomoea nil 'Hamaginga': http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/103768/

Mona - Good question. I've put MG vine cuttings in water and no roots. Perhaps if you place one of the stems in another pot of soil. Cover part of the vine stem in dirt to see if it will root! :-)

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

well I am going to try since two of my jmg took to long and is blooming now but no seeds and since I have nothing to loose in trying, I am thinking maybe I will pot the two and bring them in for the winter maybe I will do both

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Mona - Go for it!!! Just be sure to dig wide around the base of the plant when digging it up to try to avoid too much root disturbance. Good luck! Keep us posted.

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

OMGoodness is all I can say over these lovely blooming MG's..... this is going to be very additive..... Becky what have you done to me....LOL

This huge flower was crossed with pollen from Black King - it really the last crosses of the year ,I do not know what will emerge.
Its foliage is still healthy, while others have the fall colors or have lost their leaves.

Dany - What a beautiful sight! Love all the blooms in the post# 7157672. Looks like Scarlett O'Hara in there, too! :-) Love your square Heavenly Blue blooms! Nice large speckly bloom and I really like the look of your Akatsuki No Tsuyu. It looks lavender, not blue! :-) Neat photo of your Ipomoea Alba Meerkeii! Always a pleasure to see your blooms!

Janet - What other plant can you have this much fun growing?!!! I love morning glories for obvious reasons! :-)

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I took all of mine down today going to minus 4 tonight so I collected all the seeds and and composted the rest so I may have some surprises in my soil next year if I missed any but that is ok

now I have to wait till they are all dry lots of work ahead
been collecting seeds from all my different plants for the last month

szarvas, Hungary

The latest seed pods are to pick up.
Is it too soon?
If the grain inside is light brown or brown are they viable ?
