They are blooming like crazy, but big problem.
Next week I'm traveling for 3 weeks to Central Africa, I will forget all the " history " of my garden.
I'm teaching people to hand pollinisation .

How to go on Dave's Garden from an other computer ?

Thumbnail by dany12
Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

log on to the site and just type in your pass code and id should be easy as i have done it from the hotel room. when you type in daves garden just hit the log in button and it worked for me.

Yes! I agree with Marie. When you joined DG, you have your own unique ID (Dany12) and also a password. Just use them to log into DG from any computer anywhere that is hooked up to the internet! :-)

Dany - ALL those blooms and vines are just incredible! What a season you have had!!!

Karen does create some nice hybrids. I know it takes a lot of work and many grow-outs to get the seeds stable to be true to the parent vine or a specific and isolated bloom!

Here is the NOID block-color leaf vine with it's first bloom ... solid white!

Dany - Here is the blocked leaves on this vine. It appears that one leaf will be solid light green, the next leaf will be solid dark green, and then the third leaf will be a blocked color leaf of both a dark and a light color leaf! For some reason it reminds me of a clown outfit! LOL! But I love this vine regardless of the blooms! The leaves are so cool! Thanks for sharing this seed with me. I hope to get seeds and am helping the blooms along by hand-pollinating them! :-)

My Gosh, I never knew MG could have such mind-shattering colors. Those things
are fantastic. You all got it going on and I love it. Thanks for those beautiful pictures.
i could never imagine.

I have four vines with the two tone leaves no blooms yet still waiting they seem to take forever to make blooms any hint I have been fertilizing with 15-52-15 hoping they bloom before it gets to cold

szarvas, Hungary

Ipomoea Tricor I have in the garden yet.
The first line shows the Heavently Blue of 2 different tones. The bloom on the center has a corolla darker and especially the throat is less white.Others :Blue Star, Flying Saucers, Pearly Gates and two flower of the very rare Summer Skies with black seed.

Definitely it was not a good idea to grow these ipomoea on grids.
I did not use fertilizer but every plant has grown in all directions, a real forest!

beautiful flowers Dany... just love your tricolor compilation... and i too will be growing my vines further apart next year.....

Mona in Metcalfe, ON(Zone 5a)

I used my chain link fence but to try and control the vines and the polination I planted climbing beans between each MG and it did keep them apart and from tangling with each other when I plant some seeds later this fall I will know if it worked

Beautiful blooms Dany.

Dany - http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=7090666 All I can say is WOW! You did NOT fertilize? You must have used some very rich soil as they really grew!!! I think you could create a maze out of MG vines! Too cool!

I wonder how much space MGs really need? 5 square feet per vine? More or less? Yours look wonderful! I would be tickled to see something like that in my yard! But I know it is going to be a real challenge when collecting seeds! Good luck with harvesting all those seeds! I wished I lived closer to you, I'd come help you! :-)

With pollen of this Ipomoea Nil I make a cross with a large white MG, I hope get a hybrid has larger flowers.

Dany - I got the biggest darn smile on my face when I saw your photo of all the blue I purpurea blooms! Just beautiful! What a contrast of colors! Very pretty! I also like the bloom photos you posted following that photo. You must smile every time you go outside and inspect your vines! I know I would be tickled to have all those blooms greeting me each morning! :-)

Thanks for making me smile! :-) :-) :-) :-)
