Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Thanks, Jaye ^_^
I'm going to border it until it's queen-size. It's 40" square now, and won't take much to border it. It's already quilted, so that's easy-peasy!

~Susan~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

So, for the borders.. will they be plain or some simple design?

Why oh why must I ask for a link?
Now I'm checking out ALL the patterns :( Thank you dear Susan.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

poooooooooor Jaye - once a quilter, always a quilter. If a newbie, easily swayed, then you're HOOKED lol

I think I'll do a variance - simple patterned borders & plain border (not white).
I want the center medallion to be highlighted, not over-powered........

~Susan~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Definitely, don't choose a pattern that will distract that beautiful Lone Star. Maybe a simple checkered border or braid?
I have a bad habit of second guessing myself. Have to learn to stick to my first choice of fabrics and especially patterns.
Now.. which tote pattern.. humm...

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Woohooooo!!!!
One swap 'done'. Won the bid on eBay for that 3B house swap.
Design Star will be on soon.
If I dozed off in my recliner, have a good night ladies.
See you in the morning.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

hmmmm a braid - that would be nice. Maybe in a cream and grey.....with alternating soft yellow.......
omgosh! now I'm getting off the topic of making the 10 squares for my Signature Block buddies.........
better get AT IT!

ciao!

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Yes indeed, once a quilter always quilter. Oh no Jaye and I had all my pink fabrics out. LOL

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

hahahahaha Marion, you'll have her scrambling to find all her Pink Loving friends lol
I've seen all-pink houses, and they're............. bubble-gum, Barbie pink. Hate that.....
BUT, Black, with pink and white accents, can be quite elegant

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Must be Hot Pink!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Morning everyone! Time to rise and shine!
Coffee is on.
I am off to therapy in a bit, and just wanted to say hello.
Kim, Love what you have done to the front entrance. It looks very nice.
Have a great day everyone!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

mmmmm time for bacon & eggs, with hot english muffins and tea or coffee!

~Susan~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Couldn't wake up this morning! Thanks for the hot muffins. On second _/> think I need those choco coffee beans today :(

Have fun at therapy LK! You miss Susan are supposed to finish those squares.. get busy now..

Hehehe.. I got to get busy myself..

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

I know, Jaye - and I found a simpler star for me to do, so I can get them ready to go.
Some of the Signature Block senders have already sent some to me! whooooooo boy, have I got to get going!
I'm going to work on my lunch hour, to make the patterns so I can cut them tonight....

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Just a quick check in......been to mom's Chiropractor appointment, a trip by Home Depot...
Now have some projects here, some house plants to pot up and s shopping trip with Laura while Sage is out with her Grandpa Tom from Oregon....that should shoot the rest of the day pretty well....

Hope you all have a wonderful afternoon.....beautiful sunshine and high in the mid seventies here today so should be quite pleasant!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Trisha, what is the latest on Cedric, I have not seen any updates on him, since he got home? Will there be more posts? Maybe a calendar?

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

Linda K how is your son? Is he the one who tatooed Stacey?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Enjoy the shopping Trisha! So Washington is back to normal, weather wise.
Wonder how the GS went with your Mum?

Yah, a calendar will be nice. I like the one of Cedric fishing at Maid M's pond.

Taking a break from sorting fabrics! Boy, sis Deborah, I do hope you'll never get to be obsessed with fabrics as Maid M and me.
Kel's supposed to make a glass case for my fabrics... bet you, when he'd seen these here, he'd rather I let leave them in the totes!!
I must learn to give some away..

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Andy is doing better, still pretty sore, but doing OK! He is up and walking around. He is supposed to be back to work, maybe next week! Thanks for aksing!
Yes he is the one that tattooed Stacey!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That's a lucky child, LK.
Think it wasn't easy for most of us too, not knowing whether he's free from internal damage.
Kel says he must be a sturdy lad.. no broken bones neither.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

The GS did okay nothing great except to get mom to finally agree NO MORE!

Hopefully we get a chance to get things finished up with Cedric...may have to wait till summer stuff is out of the way and we have a bit more time...but we haven't forgotten.

Mom is here have to go find a nail gun, check back later.....

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well, my hair is verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry curly. But it will relax some in a couple of days. It sure is going to be much easier to take care of. Just wash and go yep. Shoulda done that months ago ^_^. It kinda smells right now phew!! Don't know why those perms have to stink.

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy, I’m so glad it wasn’t something serious, though strep is miserable, I seem to have no immunity to it so I get it whenever it goes around. Though, knock on wood, I haven’t gotten it in a couple years now.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

....and just what is wrong with being a fabrilohic? Just think, when all the fabric stores close Jaye, you and I will be in fine shape!!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well Taylor got to go to school today. She was so excited and happy that she was going to see her friends from pre-school.

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

ah - enjoy these days, Cindy. It's so sweet watching little ones going off to school, all excited ^_^ ^_^

~Susan~

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, we are waitng to see the curls!

Nothing wrong with a fabriholic! That come right behind being a chocoholic! LOL

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

I will post pix tomarrow ^_^ need batteries for camera. i know i've got some here but I can't remember where I put them. CRS ^_^ Iwas able to get a quick pix of my baby and posted in "Raise my Baby" but then kaput!!!

Lancaster, OH(Zone 6a)

Evening ladies

Just popping in real quick.

Tony and Tristen had a wonderful day at school and are starting the bedtme showers and such ritual now.. lol Good to get back to a normal again.. Only downside is the list of stuff they sent home with Tony including Phys Ed clothes and shoes that he wears nowhere but to gym class plus heck I paid a 19 school fee then got a letter syaing if you got free lunches you didnt have to.. Im hoping for a refund to go buy shoes..

Max has a roof repair lined up for work and a barn building job with his dad and brother at the same place they had built the deck about a month ago..

My mom and I planned her trip tonight. I can wait to get to see her

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pretty quiet.. so whatever that needs nailing, must have went pretty well at Trisha's. No accident. :D

Thanks Maid M. Good advice there. The only 2 quilting stores left at the beach assured me that they'll remain open for a long time. I do hope so, as 2 others have closed. Maybe with the WM sewing depts. closing, their sales will improve, then may... be.... they'd be able to lower their prices a little.

Nice to have the kids back on a routine eh Donna. Some peace and quiet too? Roof repair is not a fun job around here, especially when it's in the triple digits!! Wishing Max and his dad got more jobs line up. You're lucky Max will do anything for his family.

Maybe you could use the cell phone camera, Cindy?

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

Oh dear me! I just got the pictures of my oldest GD in her school uniform for the first day of school. She is adorable (what did you expect me to say?) but it just doesn't seem possible she is in first grade already.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I think she got everything nailed they needed to nail....my nephew is still here and helping her with some stuff.

Son's computer is out so he just stopped by and picked up my old desk top....whoohooooo, I can get to my desk now!! And those occasional projects I do on the desk top for his dad, HE can do now!!!

It is still awhile yet for school here.....Sage's doesn't start until the 9th....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Awww Maid M. where does the time flies? Pretty soon she'll be wanting her own cell phone.. grow out of pink.. and you and her parents will be scrambling to understand teenagers' lingo.
Ahhh.. hang on to today with the both of them!!

Schools start later over here too Trisha.
Great of your nephew to be helping Grandma. Hope he enjoys spending quality time with her.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Jaye, only problem with me using my cell phone camera....I don't know how to send it to my pc, LOL

I will be going to doctor tomarrow for the year boob exam. But I'm going back to my regular doc that I've had for years ^_^ I just love him. He always gives me a hug. And he will be so happy to see that I've lost 22 pounds since he last saw me. He is only a month older than me ^_^. So after the doc visit I will go get batteries and b-day cards for the B-day club. Then to bank to get new checking account and atm card.

Well, it's time to watch The Closer so I will say.....................

Night Ladies,
LUV YA!!!!!!

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Cindy, congrats on the weight loss! Way to go!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

yes, good going, Cindy! 22 lbs is quite a bit to lose!!!! I'll bet you lost it, eating sensibly lol Unlike me :-(
I've recently gained weight, so I started going to the gym again, this morning.
I hope I lose it again..............

~Susan~

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Luv ya too Cindy!!
Bet you already got a new outfit lined up!!

LK, I think I'm heading for bed too!! See you in the morning.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Susan, joining the gym is the best thing. Can't depend on will power!
I have none.. got the right equipments, but NO willpower!!
Good night sweet sistahs!

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 3b)

Good night, sweet Jaye ^-^

Good Night everyone! I'm ironing my material for my quilt ^_^

Forest green is one of my colours!

~Susan~

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

No will power here either....way to go Cindy!!!!

Goodnight all, sleep well.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)
