(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy (((Hugs))) Hope you have a good night, sleep well.
We Love Ya too!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

It's easy to love y'all... cause you all love so easily!!!

A new day tomorrow, let's hope for better news. Without Him, I don't think I can handle anymore bad news.

A life is taken, yet a new born baby cries somewhere..... And when you think your heart should be hurting, take a look at Jill's new baby.

Extra special prayers for us that need, and throw in extra measures of Thank You Lord for answered prayers too.

See you all in the morning.

(Pegi) Norwalk, CA(Zone 10b)

Thanks Jaye, I remembered to buy the rice and chicken thighs, but forgot about broth or how much to use. Really am going to try this.

Susan, the rice and seasonings are all in one pkg., like a long tube. Good stuff too. Trying to get DH to eat more chicken. I like it when I can put everyone in one pan and put it in the oven.

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Pegi I sent you a Dmail with the recipe and then saw that Jaye had posted it. Sorry for the duplication,. They also make the rice in a spicier variety. We use that sometimes since DH will eat anything if it is hot!

LK that is good news about your son at least that he is up and around. I'm betting he will be fine with some rest. Pray tell how did this happen??

Cindy please rest dear. I so wish I could do something for all of you in pain right now. I feel like I am on the other side of the world from most of you.

Donna thanks for the tip on the Bag Balm. I didn't think of trying that. The bites are better this morning, just really itchy and the one on the back of my calf is sore as can be. Exceedingly minor in light of all the other grief the sistahs here are going through.

Have another day off. Too dry to mow and may be too hot to do anything else. Will try to be productive in other ways. Need to go start some coleus cuttings for some folks.

Take care everyone and have a lovely day!

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Good morning
LK how is your son doing today? He has been on my mind and in my prayers. I am so sad over so much tragedy going on right now. I DO pray for all of you for things to turn around and soon. Don't post often but do care.
As Jaye has said, just take a look at critter's new baby to ease your heart for a while.
Hugs to all... Barb

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

Thank you Juanita & Jaye for the Best Chicken & Rice recipe ^_^
As soon as I have some Mahatma, I'll try it - it sounds good!

Best of Blessings and Love to all of you.
You ALL deserve it!!

~Susan~

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

I can't get on Facebook here at work, thanks for carrying LK's update over here Synda! Could you please tell LK that thoughts and prayers are being sent to Andy that his kidneys are ok, that is quite an ordeal.

Dave's sick with a real bad cold, I don't know where he got it from but tried to blame me lol!! I feel bad, I went to the bedroom to watch the news at 10pm last night and didn't say good night to him, nothing I can do about it now, I hope he's feeling better today.

We're going to get severe weather today, it's already started. They think the cold front is going to create a squall line, I'd rather have that then tornadoes!

See ya'll later!

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Crissy it seems like it is that time of the year everywhere. Hopefully nothing bad will happen there.

Once again it is 88 but feels like 95 and it is only 11 in the morning. Glad I got all the outside stuff here done early. You couldn't pay me to go out now anyway since I sprayed deer repellent this morning. Now that stuff has some serious gag factor especially when it is hot. That's why it works but it sure is obnoxious!

Stay cool and safe everyone.

J

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Pegi, if you can put me in the pan.. good luck.. but DON'T throw me in the oven :D Lololol!!!!!

Barb, I feel your presence here ;) I appreciate your written words and unlike me, you don't 'waste' your words away :D But your sentences are always accentuated with genuine concerns. Thank you.

There are more sistahs out there for reasons of their own, don't post, but do lurk. Get this message sistahs. "I miss y'all!"

Good day to my reading sistahs! Yes I got the message on FB, checked it just now and am SOOOOOOOO glad that you posted it Synda ^_^ You've just proven yourself that LK is more important than Farmtown! Thanks for sacrificing a few minutes of your game time!

Cindy, how's your grandbaby? Hope she breaks her fever.

Oh no... not Dave too Crissy? Now you know big men are really big boys when they're ill? Hope he gets over the cold soon.

Juanita, it's triple digits here. Never use any deer repellants. Somehow, they never touch our garden. Just a few mornings ago, there were a mama doe and 3 babies strolling on our property adjacent to the garden. Didn't even bother the veges in the strawbales. Amazing.

And thanks for the coffee Donna. Wish I can get a cup for LK. Sure miss her morning greetings.

Will be busy.. got a few calls to make.. stay sane everyone.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Morning,

She is still running a temp is here now, but her Momma is getting off work to take her home. My daughter is just worried sick. She had talked to a nurse at the doctor's office yesterday and she was told that it is normal for a child her age to run a fever for 5-6 days today is day 6. She was tested to make sure in was not the H1N1 virus, so that is good.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

That is indeed good news Cindy!
What's with this world.. the more modern we get.. the more virus we are exposed to..

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Juanita we shouldn't be getting this kind of weather until October. It should be hot and dry through September.

That's good Cindy, Dave was all congested last night, says he's feeling much better today, but after drinking a whole bottle of Adult Robitussin Night Time I guess he would be :)

I just lost a great big gray hair!! I so need to get it dyed again.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hehehe.. the old preacher from my former church will be so glad to know his Robitussin helps cure Dave!!!
Me too need to see my old aunt Clairol, Crissy. Thanks for reminding me.

An anxious heart weighs a man down….Proverbs 12:25

So true.. got to stop these anxieties.. one way to do it.. get busy!

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

LOL!! He actually likes Nyquil better, I like Robitussin better, now I have to go to the store and buy more Nyquil & Robitussin, he drank it all!

LOL I ate a whole bag of gummy bears yesterday, then got sugar rush and couldn't figure out why!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

No problem keeping busy here Jaye....Have Sage until after lunch...would like to work on my paintings some more....need to help mom get ready for her garage sale...wish she would stop this!!! What she makes is not worth all the time and effort she puts into it...not mention that she is tired and, in pain for a week after. Oh well we don't want me to get of on this tangent...I don't need to get all wound up!! Time to get out the brushes for a bit........

Beautiful day...will only be in the upper seventies today....and my Bird Seed is Blooming!!!!! Silly birds scatter seed all over and sometimes I let some of it grow, this is what popped up under the feeder....

How pretty Trisha! Sounds like we're all going to have a "mothers weekend."

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Mine is "Mother every day"....she lives in the other half of our duplex!!

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Well at least you can go to your own place, lol. Mine is Mother 24/7!!!!!

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Cindy you get the Gold Star!!! I love my mother dearly but we could Never live in the same house, living in a Duplex is enough of a trial at times!!! She is an over the edge neat freak....I am a clutterbug and I have a Dog, a Cat and a Bird.....IN THE HOUSE.

(Cindy) Auburn, CA(Zone 10a)

Oh my goodness, Mom and I are the other way around, lol. I'm always cleaning up after her, pushing chairs back up to the table. The dinning room table is so cluttered with bowling stuff you can't even see the table.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Guess it would be pretty boring if we were all the same wouldn't it....LOL.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh yes, share your mums' quirks here.. am enjoying this. Let me live vicariously through you all that still have mums around.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

I hate to think what Laura would say about me, if wasn't on here to read it...lol.

Have a little clean up to do on the patio then I may take my paints out there....it is really a pleasant temperature here today...

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

Well my mom is neat freak, I'm not even close, and she calls me every evening, at least once a day, however, she does live 6 hours away. I couldn't handle her living in the same Duplex as me, we would drive each other nuts! I was on my own and shared a duplex with my male friend and had my boyfriend spend the night, my mom not only walked into the house without knocking but into the bedroom without knocking, he was standing in the middle of the room stark naked. Told me that I was still her child and I don't get privacy rights, it didn't matter that I was 23 years old.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Now that's extreme mothering Crissy! Could understand if you're living under her roof.
So, did that caused any serious damage to your bf's ego?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

At that point I would have good locks and mom would NOT have a key....and I would keep the doors locked.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

It didn't seem to. She is extreme, I still wouldn't have any privacy if she lived close enough to get to me. My dad used to tell her that I was an adult living on my own making my own money and there are privacy laws... she didn't care, shoot, I don't think she would care now.

Fayetteville, AR(Zone 7b)

She didn't have a key, but there were always people coming in and out, you know how the early 20's are, I'm sure that's why she did that, but let me tell you, I wasn't home much.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Just got off the phone with LK.

Andy's kidneys are functioning! PTL!! He'll be going through another CTscan to make sure it's all clear before they release him.
He complains of being sore.

She has problems logging on to DG on the hotel's pc.

LK thank all of you for the heartfelt prayers and healing thoughts sent their way.

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Crissy, I don't have any privacy growing up with so many siblings in a 2 room aparment!!
But when I'm on my own, I cherish it, and always lock the bedroom, even if it's only me in the house!!

Kel just called. We'll be out of this village for a few.. so I'll see you all later.

Have I told you all lately that I love you ladies?

Well I do :D

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

So thankful to hear that Andy is doing well !!! You know LK has to be so relieved!
Did anyone ever say how the accident happened?

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Deborah, waving~~~~~~~ good to see you here!!

Cordele, GA(Zone 8a)

waving back atcha Trisha. love you!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

I didn't ask Trisha.
But pretty sure she'd let us know once everything's back to normal.
Glad to see you Deborah!!!!! Kel says Hi!
