North Central Texas Fall Roundup Trade Thread.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

True , it is lovely to see the different blooms at different stages on the bush, although have not seen striped or spotted. And the smell is slightly spicy.
Now I know that I need to stop trying so hard!

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

bananna18 - the secret is rich,
arable, healthy soil. We
are organic and laid a good
foundation before planting.

Ken I love blue, but also pink.
bi colors, puirples and lavenders,
peach etc and cherry red. &
magenta (LOL the louder
tha tackier, the better!) I
think it is the hummingbird
lover in me.

I am just another one of those
who have seen too many yellow
flowers in my life.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

If I had a blue Brug, I would be the talk of the town. I do have lots of pinks, a large white, and some good looking oranges.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Baja, you are making me wish I had another! In really good soil.

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

Does anyone have mother
of Thousands or Mother
of millions or other
kalanchoes the could share
cuttings of?

no flaming katies tho

and I have some sansevieria
cuttings

BB

nanner 18- so why dont I
just bring you some
archie dukie and end
your angest?

Kenboy LOl remember in
elementay school when we
would ,ox up food coloring
in water and insert stalks
of celery ir white carnations
to demonstrate how capillary
action works and it would
turn the celery o canations
the color of the food coloring?

Mebbe you could try that with
breeding brugs ;9-))

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Baja, .
I would love the Archduke, Tx bluebell plant and seeds also, and a bald cypress.

I will bring you mother of thousands and a yellow brug and sedum.

Charles is close enough for me. LOL I was Charlie when I was growing up. Many of my cousins still call me Charlie.

Charlene

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Shelia, I would love the seeds for the butterfly bushes. Thank you.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks for the offer, Baja. I will accept only if you have one unspoken for.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Okay, I don't have a lot of room left for trades. So I'm going to bring what I have, and if people want them, they're yours. I still have a few things that survived the summer that are already marked for people. But I don't know who's coming to this RU--some may be for East Texas.

Josephine: I have a couple of coneflowers for you.
Eyes: I have one of the yarrows I promised you last spring. My yarrows didn't do so well this year, but I will TRY to have the other.
Charlene: agastache (Honey Bee Blue), coleus, rock rose seeds
Trishann: a couple of oak tree saplings, still just a foot or so high
Sylvia (City_Sylvia): hot lips salvia, Indigo Spires salvia
Pat: two EEs (Black Magic and Illustris--um--I think it's Illustris, might be that OTHER I-name), coleus cuttings from the Rosy Dawn coop, Philippine lily seedling
Kenboy: agastache, hosta
Dennis: agastache, hens & chicks
SylviaTX: hens & chicks, blackberry lily

Here's what I have already growing that is not promised.
Butterfly milkweed (2)
Flame acanthus (small) (1)
Coleus, named, about 20 varieties
blackberry lily seedling (1)
clump of chives, hardy (1 or 2)
purple obedient plant
coneflowers
Several kinds of groundcovers: creeping sedums, st john's wort, creeping jenny
common EE, bulbs
water lily, 1 pink and 1 white with a yellow eye. These are both named varieties but I don't remember the names at the moment.
assorted houseplants: aloe vera, pothos ivy, sanseveria (hope I spelled that right), var. airplane plant
caladiums

Seeds I have:
hollyhocks, Peaches & Dreams
agastache Honey Bee Blue
castor bean
several varieties of columbine: the native Texas yellow, Rocky Mtn Blue, red, Cardinal Song (I do not know if all of these will come true)

I also have a lot of potted caladiums left. They won't last long, but they will be pretty until first frost. If you're really into digging yours and saving them, they are high-quality bulbs. These have been in small pots all summer and really need to be planted out, but I have no room for them.

Wants:

1) Crown of thorns
2) Brug cuttings. I have Dr. Seuss, Charles Grimaldi, Golden Lady, and versicolor peach.

Baja, I recieved a mother of thousands last year and now I have a bout 3 thousand babies they are little but your more than welcome to a few.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Somebody usually brings a whole boat load of those for people to just come by and collect what they need.

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

baja I have some orange kolanchoe & some Autumn Joy sedum that I'd be happy to trade for crocosmia or yellow rain lilies.

I'm in Red Oak myself, don't recognize your location.
What area are you in?

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Quoting:
BajaBlue: Would you like lisianthus seed? and Glenna, did you want some also? O remember you showing off a pink one earlier this summer.

BajaBlue: If I take the lisianthus seed, will they still germinate if I wait until spring to plant them? I am the world's WORST at taking good care of container plants and the one lisianthus I have is the only one I want to have to care for through this winter, as it made it with very little help from me last winter and rewarded me with a great show of blooms. This is probably the longest surviving container plant in my gardening history. LOL.

(Elizabeth) DFW Area, TX

I'd better get a list started and go put names on the pots. :)

Yes, you're all very welcome to what I have and don't worry about my wish list because I'm still too new to this to even know what to wish for. ;)

I'm very happy to just give them to people without trades, too because I know it will all even out in the wash. ;)

And, yes, I will be very happy to receive seeds. If I had any unusual seeds, I'd give those away too but my garden has been pretty ordinary this year. (In other words, I don't have any seed worth trading! LOL! Nothing you can't buy in the seed rack except for those two basils that have done so well for me all these years.)

Have fun! :)
Elizabeth

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

quiltergal,
I have plenty of mints:
chocolate
spearmint
peppermint
apple mint
lemon mint
think I have variegated pineapple mint.

For shade, I have *tons* of English Ivy (puhleeze, if not quiltergal, somebody, take this English ivy!),
Salvia Black & Blue,
& I can root cuttings of variegated aucuba.

I'd like some
broccoli
skullcap
stevia
buddleia, blue preferred but whatever you have enough of-those things are wonderful!

plmk

thanks!

sylvia

(Elizabeth) DFW Area, TX

Sylvia, you got it! :) I am starting some cuttings of buddleia Black Knight and I have small plants of Nanho Blue and I might be able to get a couple of cuttings off the new Bi-Color? It's lavender with yellow-orange centers. Very pretty.

I would love to have all those mints - and the aucuba cuttings would be great, too! Thank you so much!

Have a great day!
