It will be so so nice to see you!!!!
I'm with you on the rose cuttings we have something like 50 varietals. I can try to get a list together of roses for cutting's. Oh that Souvenir de la Malmaison is a beauty & Mrs B R Cant, she blooms non stop. That and another old one, will have to look up the name, but another prolific bloomer. Love the old roses.

Josephine.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Carla, I would love to trade you something for the butterfly bush. LMK if there is anything on my list for you.
Charlene

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

bananna-
Souvenir de la Malmaison is a beautiful old bush or shrub type rose, but it isn't very thorny, & the flowers are heavenly.
I mean...heavenly!

I'll separate some of the Marthas this week & mark a couple for you, & I'd love to have the angelonia.

Let me know if you want some SdlM cuttings.

Cocobid/Karen!

Howdy!

You poor child, if you're thinking about anything to do with a kitchen...
you're thinking of somebody other than me!

but let me know if you want roses or cuttings.
Those I can do!

Waxahachie, TX(Zone 8a)

oops, I was posting while you were posting, yes, I'll mark those for you charlene!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Yes Sylvia. SdlM cutting would be great as well as MG in pot. Look forward to meeting you.

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, I am going to dig up a positively ID blackfoot daisy for you.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Phyllis, how about a purple angelonia for a blue sedum?
Charlene

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

I just reread that SdlM is a shrub and not a climber...so I don't think I want it. Not enough room, as it sounds you can relate to....

Hutchins, TX

Charlene,that sounds good to me.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you, Anna!! Maybe I'll have something on my list (eventually) that'll interest you. Planning on doing cuttings this weekend!

Hutchins, TX

Loonie1,how about a cutting off your Dark knight BB?

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Josephine, I'll give you the Lantana.
Charlene, I'll give you the Butterfly Bush.

Phyllis, I confess to never having attempted cuttings before. If you give me precise instructions, I'll do my best to give you a healthy cutting of the BF Bush. (I also have a yellow and a red/light purple BF Bush, and can give you cuttings of those too.)

Right now I don't need anything, besides a hug and some lively conversation! :-)

Carla

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you Carla, I will give your Lantana a good home.

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Loonie1, I would love some cuttings of your butterfly bushes if you don't mind.
Charlene

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Carla~I'm going to try this method this year and see if I have success.

http://www.plantswap.net/forum/f25/propagating-cuttings-using-forsythe-pots-1264/

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

PhyllisB59 and Charlene....I have some seeds from BBs that I can share. Three different ones I believe, would need to pull them out to say, but one is Blk K.
Stephanie, I have tried that method with some success, good luck.

Hutchins, TX

Thanks Sheila, That will work for me. Is there anything you can use?

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Stephanie, thanks for the instructions. I've always wanted to learn how to root plants, so this is very useful information for me.

Charlene, I will bring you cuttings from all my BF Bushes. Phyllis, I will bring you cuttings of the DK. (Fingers firmly crossed, of course!!)

Carla

Buffalo, TX(Zone 8b)

Loonie1, what can I bring for you?

Charlene

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Phyllis... no trade necessary for the seeds, but thanks.

Rowlett, TX(Zone 8a)

Charlene, right now my flowerbeds are bursting, so I don't have room to put anything. If you come into any more mushroom compost (or any kind of compost or manure), I'll take some.

Carla

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

Phyliss we are starting a
bald cypress for you -
did you want more than one?

Could you save me some sedums?

Charles I have fresh Texas bluebells
aka lisianthus in sky blue
with a picoteed white edge if
would like some - just lmk

For whomever would like some,
I have plenty of cuttings of Rosemarh
Tuscan Bluie which grows famously arund hee and never gets wateed except y the rain. Attract hummingbirds

Also cuttings of rosa Achduke
Charles. On Pf it is said to get five
feet tall, but ours is about 4 or so yeas oldnad is crowing in
ac olumnar shape and os at least 10
ft tall It constantly is blooming
amd is very healthy. Doesnt
get much care and we never
have to spray it or treat it for
disease. It is in a bed with r
osemary, agave, and salvia
coccinea and is treated the
same way they are.
Everyone is always admirimg
him - he is true royalty !

More later .....

I have never had a brug and

I have the rose Archduke Charles and it is a beauty! Congrats on rooting it. I have been trying for years with little success.

Thumbnail by bananna18
Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

BB I would like the Archduke Charles and I can fix you up with Brugs, thanks.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

Quoting:
Loonie1: If you come into any more mushroom compost (or any kind of compost or manure), I'll take some.

I will trade llama manure for phlox or salvia.

Glenna

Hutchins, TX

Baja,I would like 2 bald cypress if you have them and one of your archduke charles. I will bring you the sedums and 2 different kinds of succulents and a shasta daisy.

Kenboy, the ginger I got from you is doing great but no blooms how long will it take? You gave me a huge plant and a bag with a couple of tubers in it so not knowing what they were at the time and just trying to get everything done at once I planted them in a hanging basket of all things. After a few weeks they started coming up ,but somehow a tomatoe seed was in there and so now I have a very weird hanging basket. I love the pic's of your blooming ones if you have any extra pink ones keep me in mind.

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

About the Archduke Charles....
I bought it at a nursery in Dallas
a few years back.

This spring, DH was home one
weekday and the electric meter
man was climbing around in
our sode ned where Charles
resides and holds court....

Hubs went out to see what
was happening and the meter
man pointed iy that Charles
was blocking the meter.

The innocense of navices....
Hubby cur back some of the
offending canes amd stuck
them in a bucket of water &
added a little oot stimularor.

Within a week it had real
roots ! This happened
around end of June 2009 --
remember ??? when it was
so blisteringly HOT ???

When I Least would have
expected it to root- but it
DID.

NOw, I ADORE roses,
but have akways felt
insecure about rooting them
fear of faulure I guess, but
seeing it root like that it
renewed my faith in God
and life!

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

That was a very neat thing to happen, sometimes when you don't try so hard things work out better,
Oh well, live and learn!!!

Rancho Santa Rita, TX(Zone 8a)

OOps CharLENE - Sorry I called
you Charles by mistake!

Would you like lisianthus seed?
and Glenna, did you want some a
lso? O remember you showing off a pink
one earlier this summer.

One last thing about Archduke
Chas then I will shut up about
him: bananna18;s foto is
correct for him niy doesnt really
do justice - IMHO NO ONE
foto can do so because each
bloom is unique they are
sriped or spotted or combinations
of pinky lavender and deep pink.

You would have to see a montage
of fotos to get atrue feel for the
look of the blooms.

Ken - will hae your AC for the brug
no prob! Lookin forwad to meeting
you.

Big Sandy, TX(Zone 8a)

BB what colors do you like?
