The funny thing is once all of the males head south, one of the females takes over and tries to control the feeders. At least that's how it works here. I have yet to see two hummers, male or female, share a feeder.
2009 Ruby-throated Hummingbirds Vol. 6
Their so cute Dave! Wonderful pics!
Such nice detail in your shots! Do you have feeders, plants or both?
good gravy. those are awesome.
Beautiful shots Dave!
great shots Dave & Burd
Nice shots Burd!!
Wow Dave, that Hummingbird flying sideways is really neat. I've tried to take similar pictures of them little acrobats, flying sideways, upside down and flip around. That's awesome! Nice pictures Burd.:)
I see them all Rose! Great shots!
What tree is that their sitting in Rose?
It is that same Birch tree that is about 20 years old. During the ice storm in 07 it bent completely over but bounced back as soon as all the ice melted. It is just a few feet from our living room window and is usually loaded with Hummers during spring and summer. In the winter it is loaded with all the winter birds. Usually we can see them but they don't see us so it is a great tree to bird watch.
Very! That's a gorgeous pic!
Yes I agree. all those pictures are wonderful. Love seeing the ones that have more than one !
Nice pics onewish!! Love your agastache too!
Nice shots One and I also love the ones with the agastache (I was wondering what that plant was)!
