"thats it for me"

I don't think so! You even fixed the date in yer camera! It's so nice to see you posting pics of your plants! They look so healthy. The wasps are the first I've seen--did not even know they existed til now. Do they grow large? I like Versache and Channel # 5---My mother always wore Channel #5.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

silver and some others too
i love trailers

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

I am starting to like trailers again, too . . . I think that Tiny Wood Trail almost set me against them. I've got 3 semi-mini trailers that are (to me!) looking almost perfect . . . will take a few pictures here in a bit.

I don't know which thread it was that there was talk of LLG cutting back on business . . . but . . . I went to Boerne today, and Ken said that it had been a hard season for LLG due to high oil/heating costs, and they had considered relocating . . . but I doubt they will.

it will be sad if we lose anymore greenhouses
and vendors

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Good,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,get on closer to Texas, Paul Sorano!!!

I don't want them to close. Glad you got the scoop from Ken, Nichole.........

I have those trailers, Jim and love them.................but have a lot of babies growing, too (other trailers)

Jasper, AR(Zone 7a)

Nichole-- you need to try Little Chippery trail--tiny & tough--I can send you a start this fall if you remind me.

Whitsett, NC(Zone 8a)

I figured I'd ask him, since he seems to know Paul S. so well . . . I doubt he'd move all the way to Texas, though . . . he'd be exchanging a high heating bill for a high cooling bill!

I checked my trays just now, H_G - I don't have Little Chippery Trail. I think I'll go use my journal for the first time this year, so I can start keeping track of Fall trades!!!

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

Jim, where have you been hiding your camera all this time? The pictures of your plants are awesome. Thanks!

Welcome back HG.Nice to see you posting ^_^

This is Green Dragon - maybe a semimini? Really pretty.

Fancy Trail...this one I got as a crown about 6 weeks ago...sorry about the lousy pics, I can never get both the blooms and the foliage in focus at the same time

and last, little Mini Minx, so cute! Plenty more should be opening in the next day or two. These were all little baby plants gifted to me, so I am really excited to see them bloom so fast. I am used to waiting long long loooong years for hoyas to bloom! I think the little violets like my new shop lights. Sadly, though, I am losing variegation. Too warm I think.

jmp24 - you're right, it is a semi-mini.

Green Dragon (9119) 04/20/2002 (J. Brownlie) Semidouble-double white star/green edge. Variegated green and white, plain, pointed. Semiminiature

I received a few leaves of Green Dragon recently . . . can't wait for them to start sending up babies!!!

As far as losing variegation, move the variegated plants to the ends of the lights . . . it is said the brighter lights (in the middle) can cause plants to lose variegation. The light is less strong at each end of the lights. I had the same issue recently, and now that the plants are moved to the ends, they are getting variegation back.

What temperature is the room you're keeping your plants in?

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

love your pics, jmp!!!

South, TX

I have not seen light being a problem for variegants, but each plant is different. You have to see what every plant wants I guess. Have you all seen how each plant tells you? Interesting how they are so different.

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

Tah........Dah!! My first avs starting to bloom. These are the minis...............so excited to see some blooms. (Not sure which are semi minis without looking them up)
Cupid's Jewel she is!
