What a great idea for a thread, and your kitty is gorgeous. I love photos of garden decor and photos of pets. I'll look through mine and find some of those combos.

I have a lot of stained glass in my garden. This fence has stained glass panels of irises in it. It also just happened to have my Ambrosia cat sitting on it when I took the photo.

I have about a dozen or two cat statues scattered around the property, ranging from the sublime:

To the ridiculous:

This one's my favorite. He's quite tall and close to the front door, so I think of him as my cat guardian.

I also have several cranes scattered around the garden, mostly near the ponds.

Love the garden art! Personal art touches in the garden make it truly special. I'd enjoy seeing more ideas. Evey =)

What a great idea about goldfinches and blue bird baths. Got to switch my BB's around before next winter when the yellowbirds come back.

Just a small section of this driftwood piece. The plants change every year.

In early July these Ginza lilies bloomed beautifully in the driftwood.

At a local yard sale I found this statue of the Savannah Bird Girl and she fit in perfectly with the garden.

I love that Bird Girl. She does fit in perfectly.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Her name is Petals and she sits in the back garden in the shade all summer long.

Thanks, Zuzu. Perhaps a logical person would have planted her in with the blue hostas but they're not my favorite ones.

Long Beach, CA(Zone 10a)

Petals appears to be a tad on the blue side as well. I think her band-aid is on too tight and cutting off her circulation !

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

The sad truth is her leg broke off one time when Jack was putting her away for the winter so to help us remember which leg is movable I put the band-aid on the bad leg. Take a look...

YIKES ! For whatever reason, I thought she was made of concrete.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Fiberglass. Hollow leg, too!

And what garden would be complete without a sequined pink flamingo?

LUST
LUST
LUST for the sequined Flamingo.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Oh! That flamingo is wonderful. It is also so perfectly placed.

Hannibal, NY(Zone 6a)

Another sequined flamingo lover! How adorable.

Baton Rouge, LA

I wish I could get a photo of the flamingo I gave to my sister-in-law for Christmas last year. She's a fiend for flamingos! It was at Michael's, is made like the the 3-D metal garden art for Christmas, and is filled with tiny pink lights. It's also animated, bobbing the head up and down. Tacky fun! LOL =P

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

OK I just got a snack and was thinking "what else can I reign in with HD edging?"
The annoyingly huge dicentra!!! What was I thinking. It flopps into the ground bird bath and spreads all over the place I hate it but dont have the heart to dig and toss.
Off to the store now.
Do I dare go to the Christmas Tree Shop?

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Sure! Never pass a chance to shop.

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

Are you going to the Christmas shop for a lighted, automated flamingo, JoAnn?

Baton Rouge, LA

Ohhhh, here's that flamingo!

We can sing Kumbaya at Zuzu's in time to the bobbing of the flamingo, margaritas in hand. =)

Sebastopol, CA(Zone 9a)

And look at the companion alligator:

U-guys are too funny.
The CHrismas Tree shop is featuring beach gear, the garden things are shrinking. They are down to small tools and baskets of fake sunflowers.
I did find garden edging at HD and have caged the bleeding heart.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

I like Zuzu's flamingo but not the alligator. He'd give me nightmares and I do well enough on my own. Alligators remind me of the thief who was running from the cops and figured he'd hide out in the water. The alligators thought differently and they found him in parts.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

serves him right.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Seldom do women ever try such things.

Just heard on radio there are 1.5 million men in jail but only 100,000 women. That should end the battle of the brains war.
