"Streps (hate to disagree with you Phoebe) don't eventually turn into ugly plants when they get big and have been trimmed...or haven't been trimmed"

Feel free to disagree Gail--that was just my experience, which strep-wise, is quite limited compared to yours. I have to say though, I would have nowhere to place 8 splits from one plant, regardless of light availability. I live in one room--no room for large streps beyond a very few--and that is streching it. I think some people think I am a 'plant hoarder' as it is! LOL!

Wow.............your home is pretty!!!

I guess you really do have to think about the size of a plant........my biggest strep stretches over 2 1/2 feet across...........

Land of OZ, CT(Zone 6a)

I haven't had a "home" in 8 years Gail--it's just a room. But I am glad to have it. And the windows are wonderful! 'Bloom where you are planted' is one of my favorite sayings. I pull it out when I start to feel sorry for myself. The violets are a big mood lifter for me. Although, If I could bring my pillow and blanket to Rob's or LLG---hmmmmmm........LOL

more pics of your plants please phoebe

Taft, TX(Zone 9a)

I don't care if it is a room, it is beautiful looking, Phoebe.........I agree with Jim that we need more pictures from you. I lived in an apartment for at least 8 years before I came home to the farm and I loved apartment living. Whether we live in one room or 5 rooms, home is home and a wonderful place to be.

I love to stay at home. Wish I had some windows but our heat prevents me from having anything but small covered windows so I can pay the electricity bill.

I never never get tired of growing Russian avs. Here is Blue Eyed Russian for the umpteenth time in my life.

My next order will be to Bluebird as I noticed she has some new Ians................have grown the others and they were magnificent. (in fact, I ordered them from her over 2 years ago)

My main reason for ordering from LLG last time was to get Russians and they only had 3 of what I wanted.
