It is Jaye, I'm surprised I didn't go into ecology or meteorology or something like that. Since I've moved to AR I'm fascinated by this sort of stuff. Didn't know I cared...
Well now that's the way to do it Kim! You just reminded me that I have to ship my mom's birthday present to her, and find a card! Maybe I'll tell her that her present is glass and she's going to have to wait til I come visit... LOL
Trisha sounds like you've got Murphy's Law attached to you, your car works fine for the mechanic and not for you! I can totally relate to that problem. I'm sorry you're having such problems with it. Praying for him too Trisha.
LK have a great trip and be careful on that knee! :)
Where oh where is BJ?

Morning Ladies,
Well we never got the thunderstorm that we were suppose to BUT in Marysville where I used to live they got 93 lightening strikes. And it snowed on Donner Summit. Crissy knows where that is, don't ya?
Anyhoo......I think I saved most of my Brugs. You can see in the pix which one didn't make it. What can I do with it now? Take cuttings?
Good Morning, all!! Hope you had a good sleep ^-^
Jaye - how funny - I went to the Envie Swap, and brought breakfast THERE (mistake, huh?) , then I come here and find you've brought pancakes & syrup here, too! lol
Y'know......... I think I was on more when I was at work lol
Now that I'm on vacation, I'm not in front of the 'puter as much LOL
I hope everyone has a terrific day!
Here's some pics of Ft. Calgary - me in an RCMP uniform lol
Hi everyone....i was not able to get on yesterday, because we had a bad thunder storm. It must have hit the house or something outside because, all 3 of our tvs are not working no more so we had to go and get two new tvs last night. It messed up the phone line and the cordless phones are not working. It sounded like a sonic boom over our house and shaked it.So now we are using a phone with the cord for now.So enjoy and have a bless day.

Take cuttings Cindy. Start a new family. In my case, it's the darn grasshoppers.. I don't see spiders on them, maybe the grasshoppers ate them.
Crissy.. how is Miss Cheerful? It's TGIF sistah!
Cody, thank God you, Rob and Alex are safe. Must be some bad ones to zap your tvs. Good thing the pc is safe.
Don't know if any of you knew "Pfllh" or Linda. She passed away recently.

Errr.... Susan.. where's the horse?
Cindy, Crissy, Susan and Cody, thank you for posting. We know LK's OOT, and some of our sistahs are truly busy.
Waiting for Tristen's fashion show.. and I hope Trisha, Sean doesn't have to go through any invasive surgery.
Well, fig picking part deux for me. See you all later.
Marysville got 93 lightning strikes!! That's very odd.
Oh yea Cindy, I know Donner, played in the snow up there many many times, almost got snowed in Reno once, Dave didn't want to so we left early but I thought it would have been great, couldn't make it back to Modesto to work! When I was growing up the neighbors across the street from us, they were my families best friends too, time shared a cabin on Echo Summit and we spent quite a bit of time up there in the summers. I was married in Tahoe.
Cody I would say your house was hit. I'm so glad it didn't do more damage than it did, or injure you! Does your microwave work? Poor girl, I hope your wires inside your walls aren't messed up.
Well 30 minutes to go, less than that now, and I've got to clean my desk. I was busy busy busy today and got more accomplished in one day than all week. I was too busy to notice Ms. Cheerful, wish that would happen every day.
That's so sad about Linda. I remember talking to her but I don't remember which forum(s).
See ya'll later.
Hi Crissy, Linda's from MidSouth. It's sad when we lose someone here, but especially a prayer warrior. That's a big loss. Linda will always unhesitantly pray for those that asked.
Crissy, how's your mum doing? Will also ask the church this Sunday to pray for Megan's kidneys to return to normal, followed by chemo so that the transplant can be done.
This is a sad day for me.....
After I read of Linda's passing, I wondered if she had 'willed' herself to die. I know it's impossible as Lord's the one to decide to bring you home. But somehow, that's how I feel. She had just lost her husband, and having difficulties coping.
She died of a heart attack. Stress can cause that. Was she so stressed out from her beloved husband's death? Kel says I'm being ridiculous.. he says no one can will themselves to die. But I've heard of dying from a broken heart..
I've never met Linda, but I read her postings and on a couple thread, interact with her. She's also a very passionate woman who rescues animals too.
She left her family too soon. 64 is still young. But then, I guess Lord wants her up there with her husband.
Jaye
that is so sweet of you, I didn't know her either, but I would have liked her, I am sorry to have gone awol, but I had so much to do
Cody
I am soo glad you're safe, my DD told me you called, I guess you called after I had allready gone to bed, I can't stay up as late as I would like
Sunday, I will be going out of town, so I had to get the oil changed, make sure I have a good spare, & get a cell phone
they don't have pay phones anymore, so I will get one that you put minutes on, I have business to take care of in KY
I still have acres there, so I have to go pay the taxes, & get a survey done, so I will do that monday, then be back home
Monday night, with some new pic's to post, I invited a very dear friend to be part of the fun, I know you'll like her
she is a very caring person another Brug lover, I hope she makes it over her, I told her what a group of nice ladies you were Elizabeth
Jaye I think it is possible.....Doris had not been happy with her life. Late in the afternoon of July 4th my mom went out to get the mail....Doris was out in the front yard watering everything...something she hadn't done for a long time.....she told my mom "It is time to just stop this and go home".........she died that night.
I worked as an aide at the local hospital when we were first married.....
One night before my shift was over had one little lady told us not to worry...it was okay, but she wouldn't be waking up in the morning....she died in her sleep that night.
Hi Crissy, yea, lightning did hit our house and we are very blessed that we are still here. The angels were with us keeping us safe.Every thing works except one of the DirecTV boxes and a dvd player besides the three TVS we lose and our cordless phones. All that stuff is replaceable,i just thank my lucky stars we are safe.
This is my double white noid that is about to bloom.

Elizabeth, have a safe trip and don't pick up any more plants on the way home. You have enough! Of course, you don't have to listen to me;)
Trisha, I'm one who firmly believes that when the Lord thinks my work is done here, He'll know when to bring me home. Not for me to give up on life. But if something were to happen to Kel, I hope I have the courage to carry on...
Marion, if you're reading this, I am glad you're with us.
Cody, it's a wonder we don't return to having lightning rods on our roofs.
Praise Him for keeping you, Rob and Alex protected! It's about time to get brand new tvs anyway, right?
Heavy heart here.. Lord does say to reflect on the positives.
Okay.. reflecting.. reflecting...
Thank God for all of you!!
Any more prayer requests before I hit church Sunday, please let me know.
I'll bid you all a good night.
Jaye,
I truley believe people can will themselves to die. My cousin that was 7 months older than me, got cancer. She knew she had it and would not go to the doctor. The doctor said that she'd had it for about 5 years. Anyhow when she finally told my aunt that she was going to die, my aunt said that she wouldn't be far behind. Carolyn (my cousin) died Dec 31, 2007, my aunt (my mom's sister & Carolyn's mom) died Feb. 3, 2008. NaNa Mary (my aunt) had been sick for years with emphysema. It was quite a blow to my other cousin's. They had a memorial service for Carolyn, but then NaNa Mary died and they had no money what so ever to have any kind of a service for her.
((((((((((((((Cindy)))))))))))))))))))
Don't mean to bring up sad memories.
Now, you all go to bed with a smile.. I see you in the morning.
Good night Cody, glad everyone is safe...sleep well.
Jaye it is funny you should mention lightining rods. We have them on our house. Because we live in the woods. When we first moved here 20 some years ago, the only way to get TV was with one of those big satellite dishes. Well we soon found out that that was also the best way to draw in the lightining! We used to blow up at least 2 receivers every summer. Our insurance company hated us. The Directv dish is so much smaller and since it is plastic seems to be less likely to get hit.
Cody that is a scary thing to go through. I know from experience. Your cordless phones may be OK. Keep them unplugged for a few days and then try them again. Apparently they hold the electrical charge long after it is gone. Once that discharges they sometimes work again.
This is a lonely evening primrose that was blooming the other morning. Never had one this late in the year here.
