Figs and grapes do not grow in tropical climate, Crissy. That's the reason in some Asian countries, the Book is adapted, and hence the use of banana leaf!! Don't think I want to be next to you when there are fresh cherries and figs!!

Cody, what do you do with the figs? Do you make preserves? My old tree is as wide as that and taller than the house. When it's fig season, there was always someone wanting to buy figs.

My brugs got slammed with spider mites :(. Hopefully I saved them, sprayed them with some saf-t-side. One looks dreadful some of the others look ok.

I go to therapy today, for my evaluation, and hopefully that will get my leg stronger. I am walking with just the brace on, and it seems to be doing pretty good. I just have to watch the steps, and turning too fast.

Well.. Kel just called and told me that Murdock's not able to get his chemo treatment today as his blood count was too low, even though he got his shot yesterday to increase it :(
Tomorrow he'll have to try again and if not, Saturday morning, back to the chemo center... but in another town.
We have plans this Saturday to go out of town. Moreover, Saturdays after work is the only day off he has for himself. Sunday's dedicated ot church.
I got to stop this selfish feeling (sorry Lord).....I know his dad needs him. Seems to me, Kel's the ONLY son they depend on when the chips are down .

Ahhhh such selfish thoughts! Yes I know it's all about Murdock now.
When God made Kel, He certainly broke the mold.
We keep telling ourselves we got to be Doers and not just Hearers (Crissy.. another example there). Our rewards are in Heaven, and if we expect anything here, we're setting ourselves up for disappointment.

I had won a bid on eBay for this gnome. It came in just now, and when I wanted to leave a feedback on eBay, I found there's another just like it selling for above $90!! And I paid like only 10% and while the other one has a higher serial #, mine is at #88.

Jaye Arkansas is in a subtropical climate, as North Carolina is. Both types of my grapes are wonderful every year, as my peaches, plums, and figs are extremely popular. Things that grow in Hawaii grow fine here, the plants just won't withstand the winters. The fig tree I was talking about was in Modesto, CA

She & I so enjoyed going to Deane House restaurant today. The house is 103 yo, and is lovely. Even tho they adapted it to a restaurant in the '70s it still retains its turn-of-the-century look & feel. Mom said "I feel so relaxed here"
I think we'll try to go to Lougheed House next week - it's a turn-of-the-century mansion where the elite lived.......and they have people who dress up in period dress to give information about Lougheed House. I'll take pics there.

Saturday will be Saskatoon Farm that we go to ^_^

Hello Eveyone I do miss you all but I just told Jaye I will be back only 4 more months than I off for the winter I heard yesterday only 141 more days till Christmas have been picking up thing for x-mas than it wont cost a fortune when the time comes and I can spend the money on my self yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Kittens are doing great except the other day I thought I had the covers on my vents for the heat well I forgot one and Noisey Rosey found it and slide down I thought I wood have to call the firedepartment ( Maybe a cute guy wood come) but she came back so all is great ok this is alot of typing for me so I have to go eat and than go to bed Nigth all

Well, car problem not cured....doing the same thing again....the repair shop is sending a tow truck...DH doesn't know it yet but I think we are going to look at cars for our bike ride tonight. Grrrrr....

Don't want to think about Christmas or anything else.... between car repairs... (us)... and medical bills etc. (both kids)....we are all broke and not much relief in sight.... Bill and I squeak by but I really worry about how the kids are going to get by....especially Sean and Laura...if he doesn't work they don't get paid and they are barely making it as it is...

Jaye I have to say TY for saying I can stretch money.. lol I think I did fairly well on our lil budget. We had a total of 225 and I spent 223 with a last minute dash for one more pair of 9.99 jeans and a 5.00 tshirt.. lol Tristen will be doing a fashion show tomorrow night if all goes as planned.. lol Tonight she had to watch the final So you think you can dance.. She loves to watch them dance and my best friendsbrother is opening his second studio so Im gonna see if I can barter some painting in the studio for lessons even if its not for a few months when time gets better... Keeping my fingers crossed I still need to talk to him but it sounds promising..
