Thanks for the wishes Cindy.
Not going to prolong this stay, though the rains have stopped, the lightning continues.
Tomorrow, I'm sure there will be some pine limbs 'floating' somewhere, and we'll see an increase in mudholes in the driveway!
I'll say my goodnight now. See you all in the morning.

Good night Trisha, hope you find some relief soon.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

We, too, are getting the rains plus the thunder and lightening. Seems the worst has pasted for the day. Tired as usual so off to bed I go. Busy weekend cleaning, going to the open house at the new school and a trip to the movies.

Stay well all.

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

That is the one thing I really really miss from Oklahoma and Texas is the Thunderstorms....I love to listen to the thunder and watch lightening.....and I always loved smelling the rain before it arrived......

Have a good night Marion...get some rest....I have OUR short one tonight!

Thanks for the offer of brug cuttings Jaye! That would be great. Last year I just kept them in water all winter and that worked fine. Then I potted them up in the Spring and off they went!

Lots of chores to do again today.

I'll be back later.
Juanita

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Good Morning ladies! I have the little one above today but he is thankfully fast asleep at this time. Has been since he got here at 7:30.

Today is a busy day for sure. The babysitting until 2:00, then Will's birthday party as soon as she picks Colby up, then back to go to dinner with my Brother/SIL from Indiana to celebrate Mom's birthday (yesterday-89) and then back so they can oooohhhh and aaahhhhh over my pond. ;o) No one will have to rock me to sleep tonight!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Good morning ladies!
You're certainly one lucky lady to be able to have a waterfall in your backyard.. or is it front yard? Cookie, wish your mama a Happy Birthday for us. Will yours be the first in Ohio btwy? Charge for tours!!

Hi Juanita, got your dmail, and the answer is 1 and a half hour's drive :D Possibilities right there!

LK, that's right you can hop the rain dance. Sistah, I'll wish you rain from here.. you and Trisha. We had enough for all of us last night.
Mercifully, no tree limbs to pick up, but water puddles everywhere and the return of zombie mosquitoes!!

Hello Elizabeth!! Hope you didn't keep Cody awake last night! We've been trying to set an earlier bedtime for her!!
Anyway, again, we're glad you're here!

Hi Cody, what's your plans for the day? Movies today.. or just pitter-patter around the house?
Mine is the normal Saturday stuffs, though I don't think we'll be heading for the beach. Might be to a little town called Florence, where they have a Hancock's.

Have a good Saturday everyone!

Coushatta, LA

Morning Ladies,

HA HA Susan you funny ^_^. Yep I was a mess yesterday when my friend showed up. She wanted to give me a big hug anad I told no I'm all sweaty so off to the shower i went then we had a great visit. Her and her husband are travling adminstrors for retirement villas. Hopefully they will be transfering to CA in the near future. They are also musicians and play at different long term facilities.

I have some pix to post of some of my glads and lilies but it just takes to darn long on dial-up and then in knocks me off. So I will save them for Monday afternoon along with the stuff I got from Jaye in the Stuffed Envie swap.

TTYL ^_^

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

I guess there's pros & cons to living in the city or country, eh?
City - great connection on the web, but no garden space to speak of, usually, however - not much weeding lol
Country - lousy dial-up connection, garden space To Die For, but WEEDS to deal with!!!
(is that it, in a nutshell?)

(Trisha) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

Afternoon everyone.... was in the fifties overnight, seventies now and predicted nineties by the end of the day....

Sage is here this morning.... errands a bit later....

Will take any place in country with good cell phone connection! My Sprint Internet Card does me quite well anywhere that the cell phone works....some photos may take up to a minute to post but most of the time everything works very well.............

LK if the Mariner/TX Ranger baseball game can get rained out why can't you and I get a little rain???? :(

Have a great afternoon Ladies...

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Don't know about the baseball game getting rained out, but I sure wish we could get some of it! Still no rain here!
Jaye, be carefull going into hancocks. You always come home with more than what your looking for! But don't we all??? ^_^

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Went into JoAnns today to get a lampshade and something to cover it with. Went off the reservation and bought a yard of ladybug fabric. What in the world do I need that for??? Sewing is last on my list of things I can do. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to beg, bribe, trade or something for some placemats from someone. :0)

Juanita

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

lol Why do you need placemats? Are you going to use the fabric you bought as a tablecloth?

(Barb) Manchester, NH(Zone 5a)

Juanita, talk to Maid M!!!!! She loves ladybugs....

(Laura) Olympia, WA(Zone 8a)

This is Trisha, not Laura....just wanted to say goodnight to everyone, have a good week and I will check in on Laura's acct. occasionally until I get back on line.....Have to run it it is time for Church.......

FLOYD, VA(Zone 6a)

Maid M, I just want a couple of placemats for everyday. I have chili peppers in my kitchen and I have several pieces of fabric and then I thought maybe the ladybugs for my office. I don't have a firm idea. I can sew, it just frustrates me more than anything I do.

More rain last night and right now it looks more like 7:40 in the evening than 7;40 in the morning. Saves on the watering for sure. Wish I could send some to LK.

Gonna take a a lazy approach to today. Hope everyone has a restful Sunday.

Later,
J

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Elizabeth, those blooms are so pretty! Who is the beautiful girl! She looks like she is in heaven!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Morning Glory everyone!!
(Now where is Bon?)
Late again for church.. so wishing you all have a restful Sunday!

Franklin, OH(Zone 6a)

Morning, ladies! I survived yesterday. It was a busy, fun day. I slept like a rock. Feels so good!

OMG! That brug is amazing! I have eight planted but so far, not even a bud. I must admit it is really my first full year with growing them. I had a few in pots last year and they didn't survive the winter in the basement. I'm sure I screwed that up....anyway, the ones I rooted in the window are doing great in the ground, look full and healthy, just no blooms yet. I really don't want to try them in pots again, since I already bring 6 plumeria in that are pretty big, so I'm thinking I'll take cuttings of these and do the whole window thing again. I probably didn't get them outside as early as I should have. I know it wasn't as early as you, Elizabeth.

Thanks for the kudos on the waterfall. I'm stoked about the whole pond. I'll be fishing for my koi on Tuesday, so wish me luck!

Tomorrow morning I take Dusty to get her rental truck. She'll load it all day and they'll drive the 7 hours to Georgia in the night time so the animals will be okay in the back. Their kitty ended up having 5 kittens just a few days ago. Dusty said mama is doing a good job with them.

Need to get myself in gear.

Love you guys!

Hamilton, OH

Good morning Ladies
Linda Kay, the girl is my youngest GD, she loves to be outside with me, she loves to water, has her own little watering can
Cookie
I got my Brugs in the ground, the end of April, I always keep sheets ready, just in case of frost, I am glad you like it
good luck to dusty, that's a long drive, you will have to come by to get clippings the end of next month, that's when
I will be digging them up, oh that Brug is versi color orange
Elizabeth

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Why do you dig them up so early?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

She's digging them up at the end of September - maybe that's not early in OH...
I think that would be when I'll have to dig mine up, too.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

They will grow and bloom until the frost hits! You don't get it that early do you?

TORRINGTON, AB(Zone 3b)

well......... in Calgary, we can get frost between Oct 1 to mid Nov... and not be able to plant before mid-June. I rather suspect OH may get similar early frost (but it wouldn't stay that long lol). Better to be careful than to lose your brugs, I would think.
