Holy Bananas Batman!! http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6883801 Luv it and excuse me Joseph but I am pushing you right out of line!! LOL
Dany all your flowers are beautiful! I'd be happy if my little stinkers would just bloom already!
Ronnie i know the feeling about them not blooming. i usually have tons of blooms by now and none are.

I'm gonna pop on here! Been real busy this past week, but am taking a break to jump on and post!
Dany your MG and JMG crops are amazing! You have really outdone yourself this year!
You have mentioned in several posts that you are using the Black King to cross with some of the other cultivars you're growing. What it is it that you are hoping to achieve in crossing using BK? Is there a characteristic you hope to see show up?
The first bloom posted on this thread is outstanding! I think many of us here would love to get a few seeds of that one! Are all the blooms on that vine showing these style of blooms? Or was that one a fluke?
This one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6883814 is very nice! I like the blizzard markings along with the star effect! Does it have a name or is it a new one?
I do enjoy the yellow I. nile photos! Very subtle, soft color! Very nice!
This photo: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6893216 is terrific! What a nice selection of blues you are growing!
And this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6893237 is simply stunning! It has the same soft-edges that bleed into the next color effect similar to the Diluted Fuji no Muraski that I am growing. Very, very pretty! I would love to trade you for a couple of seeds of that one for sure!
Did your Kohkan vine ever produce any Blizzard blooms? I hope so! It's quite an eye-catcher showing that pattern! Though yours is lovely even without that added characteristic!
Becky is back! We missed you!
Thank you for your comments.
I cross Black King , with everything that moves, LOL
In fact I imagine in winter, regretting not having made such crossing.
BK X my Dilued fuji purple =>Dilued Fuji Black or Grey.
BK X Brown Chocolate => Dark Dark Chocolate Brown.
BK X your NOID Dark Purple => something like Benkei (BK purpulish - Note I received 5 seeds of Benkei Q1210 from Kyushu University)
Other cross : a star with BK or BK Blizzard.
etc ... etc. ....
The first flower on this thread is stable and fertile.
Here is your Kohkan Blizzard.
Ooooh! WOW! Your Kohkan is showing the Blizzard gene! Oh my is it ever pretty! Glad to see yours is showing that gene too! I love Kohkan Blizzard. One of my top 10 favorites! :-)
That is really fascinating about the BK crossing! I can't wait to see what you get next year when you plant all those seeds from the BK crosses! If you need any volunteers to grow any of them, you know I am in line! :-)
I truly love crosses! I think I am drawn by the sheer possibilities and the unknown. Always a wonderful surprise to see the first few blooms on a new hybrid! Now THAT is what captures my heart about MGs! :-) The possibilities are infinite!
Today I was in front of a dilemma.
This flower is interesting because it looks like it is made of 2 different flower and presents a third tone of blue.
The dilemma is:
Self-pollinisation or pollinated with another variety. The decision must be fast.
I chose the second solution to kick in anthill.
If this hybrid gave this flower it is able to give me one day the same type of flower - it is in his program.
Question:
This shows that a flower is able to transmit?
I think "Asagow " are a little outside the rules of the genetic.I would say that this flower sends 60% of its own difference and 40% of all types of flowers that this cultivar is able to produce.
Those who are used to make crosses give an opinion, please.
