Garden Photo's 09 ......# 36

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I have to get my butt in gear to send out some trades that are long over-due.

If you would like some Britt Marie, Allison, I can send you some of mine with the jade plant I am sending you! (I also have a Rex cutting for you, too!!!!)

I am looking to get some of the Ligularia przewalskii. I think because I am Polish, but I do like the plant, too (watch it actually turn out to be Russian). (EDIT: Go figure!! He IS Russian! http://davesgarden.com/guides/botanary/go/4685/ )

Your pond area has come together so nicely, as I said before just love it. Sunsets, daylilies, lilies and dahlias, wonderful. Hollyhocks look a lot better than mine this year. All the wet took a big toll on them. Thanks for reminding me how pretty they can be.

I like things that plant themselves and surprise me. Here are some phlox that have interesting buds and purple stems, the flowers are totally white.

Lovely Bill, I see him, a zebra. Very nice grouping and I like the sunflowers too. Oh I see I'm right and the other pics are great too. The later the season gets they start to look well worn don't they. Doesn't seem to slow them down though. All the echinacea are nice. Is that 'Green Envy'? I'm still waiting for mine to bloom here. Looks like it is doing well for you. Check out the new ones that are coming on the coneflower forum winners and losers thread.

Another batch that just moved it are pinwheels.

Oh pretty Pixie. Not a DL expert here, do all the flowers on that plant do that or just the one bloom? The other question is can you make a plant from that scape that will have all poly blooms?

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

This is the friend.

Your daylilies are fantastic Pixie

South China, ME(Zone 5a)

"do all the flowers on that plant do that ?" NO I wish!! lol
I don't think you can but im no expert either. I just grow em!! lol I ususally get at least one poly a year, if im lucky, two.
I know that some DG'ers are working on poly flowers. Meaning they are trying to breed it so you will get polys everytime.
