Debra, this one http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6880874 looks like Ipomoea omgitissobeautiful - um I don't know but it's pretty LOL.

Agreeing with Joseph Debra. It's a beauty.

Debra - NICE!

I love this one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6870493 Is the color on the petals fading out toward the outward edge or was that from the flash? If so, you've got something very special there! Beautiful! Anymore photos of this one? I know how hard it is to get up really early and try to get photos before heading off to work. I've have the same issue. If only my job started later! LOL!

This photo: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6870509 WOW! Nice variety of plants and blooms! I love lots of different textures, colors, and sizes in my garden and porch area, too! I wanna come visit you! :-) :-)

I want a few seeds from this one if you have enough for trading: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6873951 This is just beautiful, Debra!!!

I love this close up shot: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6880878 Look at all the POLLEN!!! :-) :-) :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I love those pinks too Debra, really beautiful.
I missed them first time around. Save me a seed or two if you can.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I read the back of the seed Packet and saw I.Nil X I.Purpurea does that mean this pink flower Milo No Mai is a cross between those two? I didn't know you could intercross.
This flower was still open at midnite tonite..

This is my view at 6:45 am with flash

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Debra - This bloom photo here: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6896653 Iooks like it has variegated leaves? And I am noticing a little tiny bit of white border on the bloom? If yes on both of those, I don't think it would be SOH. Perhaps it is Mini Bar, Cameo Elegance, or Red Sun Smiles (which is really more of a dark pink like yours). Nice vine!

The Lavender bloom from Liz is lovely! Nice blending of colors on that one! :-) :-)

And I LOVE your view at 6:45 am! Glad that you were able to get a photo with your flash! That is me outside in the morning. too! Still in my nightie! LOL! I go outside, put seed in the birdfeeder, and then take photos of my MG blooms! And then I go get my paint brush and start hand-pollinating blooms! And then I tag any crosses! :-) LOL! All in a few short minutes in the morning. And only then do I finally get ready for work! LOL! Tell me we aren't obsessed?! LOL! Nice obsession though, isn't it? :-)

Remember that vine that I have just leaves on?

I finally got a flower on it!

I'm going to look through my seeds later to see which one I have that might match. it's a pink color.

(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Oh! Nicole! I love your deck! Is that a wooden swing? How wonderful it all looks! And the vine seems to agree by climbing up and now across the beams! Awesome sitting area! :-)

Your pink unknown has some flecks in it! I am curious to see what future blooms will show. Very nice bloom! Glad it is finally starting to show off for you! :-)

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Thanks Becky, The bad thing about letting them climb up there like that is I had to get out a small stepladder just to see it. I did not notice the fleck until I posted the photo. It could just be the wrinkle from me handling it. I have lots of buds so I'm curious to see too. I almost missed it because it was hidden behind a bunch of leaves.

Here is a whole wall full of Akatsuki no Murasaki. The rain gave it that wilted look, they would have been so pretty if it hadn't rained on it. I hope to get alot of seeds. Do you know if this is a good seeds producer? For some reason, they seem to attract the ants. Black ants are lined up to get in there...

Thumbnail by LiliMerci
(Becky) in Sebastian, FL(Zone 10a)

Nicole - Your Akatsuki no Murasaki are beautiful! WOW! Look at all the blooms! :-) Any flowers that produce nectar will attract ants. I have them lined up on mine, too! If you get hummingbirds, you may see them going from bloom to bloom!

I hope some of your pink MGs bloom on the underside of your pergola so that they are easier to see and photograph. Be sure to post future blooms so we can see if those are flecks!

I just loosened and redirected a Moonflower vine! They are quick and will try to climb anything in sight if you aren't paying attention! LOL!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

The other thing I notice is that the stem that the buds/blooms are on is long. Average size flower.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Nicole keep us posted. I am loving seeing your blooms as I have waited right there along side of you! Love your deck.. gosh!

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

OK. Here is the bloom on the mystery vine this morning. It's a dark pink color. From the back, with the long stem and multiple buds on one stem....

And here is the flower. I haven't had a chance to look through my seeds packets. oh and thanks for the compliment on my deck.

this one here : http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6901914

looks like the pink I grew last year.. did I send u any seeds?

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Debra, you did give me some MG seeds! Yeah! I must have sowed them all because I don't see an envelope for them. What are they? They are so pretty, a deep pink color. Here is my vine this morning with 2 different MG's, but I can tell the other MG's because they have variegated leaves on them.

LOL they are voracious viners.. I have to clip mine back to keep them in the spot I want them to stay in.. I have no clue their name, I have been growing them for years and years and years, if I sent you those then I also may have sent you some red ones and some big blue ones.. I Hope.. the big blue ones were sold to me as flying saucers, but I think they were heavently blues.. watch for the pods of those pink ones, they will drop everywhere .. This was last years grow out
on an arch I made by my patio, and these are the first two morning glories I have been growing here in this location..

Nicole - Your pergola is shaping up nicely with all the blooming vines!

Debra - Your I. purpurea vines really look great! I especially like the photo of the vines on the fence! Beautiful!

That is one of the great things about I. purpurea vines ... they grow long and tall which gives wonderful lush coverage on any structure or tree! And they will come back from volunteer seeds ... year after year after year! Hopefully you will welcome them each year! :-)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I love morning glorys, but sometimes they make me sad.. for they are my seasonal hourglass of summer.. when they die and the sand runs out for them, I know it is time for cold, dark bleary days ahead.. but until the morning glory dies, I will revel in their wonderous beauty. How strange they are, twisting and turning, pushing and pulling at whatever they can to grab ahold and go.. this one is in the tomatoe patch now.. she must have some i. purpurea in her to make her wander so..
and on to August.... http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1023023/

Debra, I remembered you giving me some blue ones that you thought were Flying Saucer but no stripes. Anyway, my friend gave me the Flying Saucer seeds last year and I love them with the octagon shape and their stripes. However, my own FS did not produce any seeds last year, so I bought some Morse & Ferry seeds this year at Lowe's and hopefully they are actually FS. I know sometime when you buy them, they are mislabeled. So I have tons of those seeds if you'd like some, I can send you some. No trade necessary.

Yes, those dark pink ones have crazy vines! I have never seen MG vines that grows crazy like that. I'm glad I planted them in containers! I hope I will be able to catch most of the seeds this year. I actually gave some of those vines to my neighbor and I only planted 1 or 2 of them. So all those vines you saw on my pergola are from 2 vines and 1 Japanes MG variegated vine! crazy, huh?

Well, I don't want to think about the end of summer yet. I'm just going to enjoy all my plants while I can. I have Night Blooming Cereus blooming tonight, but can't take picture because my flash is broken on my carmera. May be it will still be open when I wake up early tomorrow and I will catch it before it closes.

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Here is my pergola at night with the lights on. These were Xmas clearance lights I bought one year and I remembered them early this spring and hung them up. 2 strands for about $2 a piece.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Oh Nicole, that is sooo pretty... what is night blooming cereus?

North of Atlanta, GA(Zone 8a)

Here is a picture of the blooms from last year or year before - can't remember. They only open one night and the dinner plate size flower closes by the morning. I couldn't take a picture of it because my flash is broken on my camera.
