You have some huge snakes in your garden, Bill. That would scare the @%&*! of of me.

Ok Celeste, this flower is right next to the other. Is this Garden Party?

it slid away from me - thank goodness - i just like to know where it is rather than constantly being "surprised".
It had been hanging out on the other side of the yard or it could be a different one - there are a bunch of them.
they are fatter than normal this year - french might have something with frog legs being a delicacy.

Port Washington, NY(Zone 7a)

Ok, I did plant Time Out. That must be it. Thank goodness for you, Celeste. You'll keep my garden journal in order for sure!

Bill, what kind of snake is he? A little scary to be surprised by him.

Pepperell, MA(Zone 6a)

northern water snake - had over 10 of them on a log in the pond out back last spring - think it was there first day out from hibernation - they can be agressive although these have not been they slide away

last year one got tangled in plastic bird netting over my blueberry bushes that went to the ground - i ended up cutting it out and then had to hold it down to cut the netting off it's body and head - some how it had gone through several netting holes - could not let it die - so i held its head down "gently" with a hockey stick and went to work with sissors cutting it free - at first it was fighting and curling around and i'm ready to run for the hills if it turned on me - then i really believe it figured out what i was doing and relaxed - i cut the netting off right by its head last - we walked/slithered side by side right down to the water - my good deed for the year

Lower Hudson Valley, NY(Zone 6b)

Celeste has every lily and DL!! Love that Chocolate one, Jo Anne!

Great dahlia, Dyane.

Thomaston, CT

Yes, Jo Ann---that Chocolate Cherry is a winner! Pensacola, I like the red flower---Chilean Bell Flower? Bill, I couldn't live with all those snakes around! I know I have some, but they hide in the rock walls during the day, & they are only garden snakes. Dyane, I really like Mardi Gras Parade---it'll go on the wish list!
