These all yellow ones were unexpected - these are from seeds, and I guess they can revert to the regular species color. Others look more like the named varieties they came from.

I'm also enjoying the beautiful colors.

Chantell that Tabernaemontana divaricata is beautiful. How large is it and where do you keep it in the winter?

The sun is finally shining today, so I will not get wet this morning when I go out to see what damage the wind and rain did last yesterday and last night.

Another dahlia gifted to me by dmac.

Just love this Heliopsis I got from Critter a couple of years ago. I have it planted under one of the bird feeders and it looks so nice growing with the volunteer sunflowers that always come up.

Looks like August will be bloom full too. I think I put Ironweed on a wish list once. My Heliopsis ha been in bloom for --months?- I should deahead a little but it doesn't stop the new blooms, and I want the birds to get the seeds, not the trash man or compost worms. Goldfinches just LOVE me for my sunflowers. My potted Maya brugs sunk in the garden are great, not bloomed yet. My 2 Rose Souv had a round of a few blooms and now looks about like yours, Holly. And the one in the deck has bad mites now.
I getting my first year with this Verbena bonariensis now. I got the momma (this one, above Canna gold foliage) last fall on clearance, and it has self sowed. but I think momma died. Just starting to see blooms. They should be something that will come up skinny between other things and put a spot of color above. I might use them between clumps of daylilies.

Wow, am I behind on this thread. RCN, I planted a couple of those Hydrangea Pink Diamond last year, but they may be ones that didn't overwinter. I lost so many shrubs that I'm still not sure all what they were.

Here's Hydrangea Little Lamb.

Stormy and Holly/

Love the Starfire and Bright Eyes. Gonna get me some.

Just discovered tons of these in the woods. (Still exploring our fairly new surroundings). I guess that they are edible wild blackberries. So says someone in the plant ID forum. What do you all think?

I'm getting all my "flower power" through all your photos right now. When I went outside to take pictures yesterday everything that's blooming has either been beaten down by the dogs or looking sad from all the rain :( If we don't get some sun soon my annuals that were planted way too late will NEVER bloom! I did get a picture of this Hydrangea, probably drooping from the rain but it may be from the sheer weight of this thing - it's at least a foot long, maybe more! I'll have to check my records, Rick always forgets to stick in a tag when he's planting, but I'm pretty sure it's 'Pinky Winky'. I had to laugh, I wanted to include my hand to give you an idea of its size. I turned my hand over because my fingernails were so dirty from pulling out weeds before taking the picture! LOL

Finally got to take some pictures of what i have "going" right now......nothing overly exciting....

My "Broken Colors" 4 O'Clocks are blooming......Here's a close-up....

The bush is HUGE! I grew it from the roots I dug up last fall. They were like Peony roots--big and fat and extending all over the place. All this from seed--in ONE year!
I let them dry and then threw them in a box in my basement for the Winter....

When i took them out in the Spring--I noticed little green growths on them.. So I said--why not? And put them in a container with some dirt....Well--eventually--the roots sprouted and grew and grew...VERY fast.

Here is the plant now--I would say 3' high by 4' wide! Blooming away!

The Rose behind it is my "Sweet Surrender----totally overshadowed!
