Looks like August will be bloom full too. I think I put Ironweed on a wish list once. My Heliopsis ha been in bloom for --months?- I should deahead a little but it doesn't stop the new blooms, and I want the birds to get the seeds, not the trash man or compost worms. Goldfinches just LOVE me for my sunflowers. My potted Maya brugs sunk in the garden are great, not bloomed yet. My 2 Rose Souv had a round of a few blooms and now looks about like yours, Holly. And the one in the deck has bad mites now.
I getting my first year with this Verbena bonariensis now. I got the momma (this one, above Canna gold foliage) last fall on clearance, and it has self sowed. but I think momma died. Just starting to see blooms. They should be something that will come up skinny between other things and put a spot of color above. I might use them between clumps of daylilies.
