Dany - This one: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6809368 is quite interesting! Nice color and pattern. Should make a fine father for any of your vine crosses! How big is the bloom? Is this an I. nil? Does it have variegated leaves?

Are you hoping to get the I. indica to root in the soil? I bet it will !! :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Dany, beautiful blue bloom.

szarvas, Hungary

Becky, yes it's a Nil and the size is like a purpurea - variegated leaves. The name is Baby Blue Blizzard from Helena .In fact I think it's from Sazanami familly - Sazanami variant. There is more than one plant in this container and sometime appear an reverse tube flower ( smaller than pupurea ).

The rooting of indica.
I don't know how old must be the runner to take root quickly.

Dany - If you should happen to get any seeds from this vine: http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/fp.php?pid=6809368 I would certainly love to have 3 or 4 seeds. Maybe you could tag one of the blooms and put my name on it. (Hint, hint!) :-)

I am going to look at what Helena sent me and see if she happened to send me any of the Baby Blue Blizzard seeds. I really like the color. It's rahter unusual. And I always love the blizzard pattern on any MG! :-) I am such a BIG fan of I. nil MGs!

Dany, every vine I have stuck in the rooting tub has produced roots.. I use my water fountain tub, tho and not soil.. there is a small trickle of running water, rooting hormone, a mosquito dunk and a few drops of peroxide in there.. seems like ANYthing roots that I put in it.. good luck rooting!
would love a seed of your father up there ( cross father that is.. )

Hmmm ... interesting way you root plants, Debra! I'm making a note of this! :-)

Now Black King have fertile flowers . I use it for crossing
But, I'm stuck to make cross if I can't imagine the flower I want to creat . To cross in every direction , with all the cultivars it's impossible for me - Do you think I must have a talk with my psychiatrist ? LOL

Dany - They are all marvelous! Really! What a beautiful crop of MGs you have there!

Your Sazanami Clear Blue took my breath away! If you get seeds for that one, I would love to trade you some of mine for a few seeds of that cultivar. It is outstanding! I truly love it!

And if you do any crosses and need folks to do some grow-outs of them for you, count me in! :-) I am a sucker for crossed cultivars! :-)

Thanks for posting photos of your beautiful blooms! I am soooo enjoying them!

Debra good idea, but how many chances of success - 5%, I do not have enough pollen to engage in this adventure.

Today the new cross is Black King X Kohkan Blizzard from Becky

Nobody knows where I could find a free program that can save 2 pictures together like this! it would be ideal for presenting projects of cross.

This pic comes from Japan does not ask me what is the name of the little blue flower.LOL

The enigma of today:
One plant in one little container , 2 colours - real blue and purple .
Temperature of the night 65 ° F , no rain .
The coming days I will see if the problem recurs
